What does it mean when your hot water works (scalding actually) and the display screen on the boiler us off. How do I turn down the water temp? There's no other way it would seem. I have a vaillant eco tec plus 424. Thanks
I have a vaillant combi boiler and have comfort mode switched on but in turn with this our heating comes on in the middle of the night when not switched on. Should this be happening and does it take more money doing this? My heating is on a timer.
I have an unvented tank, doesnt the cylinder control the water temperature? What purpose does the hot water temp on the boiler control panel serve in this case. Mine seems to be set to "OFF" in the control panel.
Many thanks for the video, this is very useful. However, when I try to change the radiator temperature, I cannot access the temp, it goes directly into pressure. I have read in the manual that the technician can limit this temperature when he installs the system, which I think is what happened my case. Any idea how to reset that?
How do I turn on the radiator heating in the house without a wireless thermostat? Is there a way of turning on my heating / radiators manually from the boiler itself? My wireless thermostat is currently on the blink. I have the vaillant ecotec plus 832.
I cant work out how the water control works. Does the boiler heat water all the time? I want to save money and have water heated only for couple hours in the morning and in the evening. Is it possible to do that?
For *Vaillant ecoTech pro vcw 286* It doesn't seem the boiler is working as it should. It is not supplying hot water at normal pressure. If I want to use hot water at 50*C, the water runs hot for the first 5 seconds and then rapidly decreases in temperature to about 30*C even if I have the tap turned to maximum temperature setting. I then have to reduce the water pressure to 1/2, in order to get the water warm again. So I can run about 40*C at weak pressure. But once I turn the pressure up on my tap, it again runs colder. (the settings on my boiler are 55*C for water supply and 65*C for radiator heating). I never had this problem, even living in older buildings. The apartment is small and brand new. All the sinks + bath are situated only 3 meters away from boiler, so there shouldn't be any loss of temp. in the supply pipes. The boiler is only 1.5 yrs old. There are no blockages in any pipes, and the building is supplying adequate water pressure. The central heating radiators are working OK.
Hallo, ich habe einen Auracompact mit genau der Regelung. Ist es sinnvoll den Heizbetrieb von jetzt an auszustellen und im Oktober wieder an? Wie macht man das? Vielen Dank!
Watched your video as so much easier than the supplied manual. However, my boiler is not displaying the water symbol. I can not adjust although the water does heat up but v. hot, Can you advise please
*I have an issue* When I turn the bath/shower faucet on the maximum TEMPERATURE and POWER, the hot water runs for several seconds, but then begins to lose its temp to about 35degrees, which is relatively cold. Now when I reduce the power on the tap and keep the valve turned left (max hot), the temperature of the water rises to what it should be. Now I do not have this problem in the kitchen and bathroom sinks. They run hot water on max power no problem. What could this be? On the boiler the water setting is turned to 65 degrees which should be more than enough...
I've had it with my boiler that I'm this close🤏 to ripping the effing thing off the wall. My boiler is in summer mode, but I've set my hot water temp to 70 and it's not heating up at all - not unless I take the boiler out of summer mode. However, if I do that, then the radiators turn on which I don't want. The programmer on the wall for the water is on 'Timed' and I've pressed the 'Advanced' button, but the damn boiler just sits there at 35 degrees flashing that parasol icon and not doing anything. Please help 😭
I have a Vaillant eco Tec plus 637 open-vented boiler. Strangely there is no hot water tap symbol on the screen so I cannot change the hot water temp, but the hot water does heat. Has anyone got any ideas? I have it serviced every year.
I have a Combi ecoFIT pure 825. I bled all radiators but one radiator has no heating. Also there is no heating in the pipes connected to this radiator. Just moved into this property and there is no User Manual. Boiler installed 2018. Anyone please help, much appreciated.
They have made this system over complicated for most domestic operators. We are not all heating engineers. The previous system was easy to operate. I was thinking of changing my boiler but after seeing how user unfriendly this is I'm going to look at other manufacturers brands. If anyone can recommend ?
I have a problem that my boiler sign anti-cycling time . Anyone know how Ican take it off. Plz answer me . My home is very cold bcz the heating no working properly
Of course it does n actually defeats the object of having a combi to save fuel on our hot water had one installed couple of days ego its definitely Not as good as the 242 by a long way but that is my opinion am also looking for a way to disable the electronic wireless controls n hard wired it not looked at it yet but am hopping there is a way to do it
do they have batteries mate? for all we know power might be transmitted wireless to the clock? another source of electromagnetic pollution as if we haven't got enough i disabled wifi at home am hopping i will be able to do the same with the oiler
Is there a way to set the water temp beyond 65? It won't let me go higher, but the water in our shower is definitely not as hot as it was before we had the boiler replaced, and I'm sure the guy who installed it turned the temp down.
*Without a programmable thermostat:* - press the white button to toggle on - wait for it to show the beach umbrella - press heating symbol (right upper button) - press and hold lower + symbol for faster target temperature to show (or press quickly several times) Not sure if you really need to cofirm your selection now or it takes whatever you press and leave for granted. But if noting happens then: - press the upper right button and then the upper left button (shows a back or return arrow symbol) Now you will be at the home screen where you should see a symbol of a flame indicating it is working. Without a programmable thermostat you are basically running 24/7 water throu the system that decides when to heat the water to your desired temp or stay off if it is at desired temp until you *turn it manually off:* - press heating symbol (right upper button) - press and hold lower - (minus) symbol untill OFF shows Not sure if you really need to cofirm your selection now or it takes whatever you press and leave for granted. But if noting happens then: - press the upper right button and then the upper left button (shows a back or return arrow symbol) ...and if you want to turn it off completely just press the white button to toggle off. *With a programmable thermostat* you do not need to do anything from the above. Just follow the instrucions manual.
Vaillant is using an eBus system that is proprietary. Meaning that a Vaillant boiler will not work with any other thermostat from a different brand. There are adapters and reductions but it is quite cumbersome to make it work and TBH not really worth the effort.
Worst boiler I ever had. Just doesn't give any hot water. Done everything this video shows. All we get is luke warm water. I guess its bye bye hot baths.

Thanks for this, shame the bloke that fitted it didn't explain it like this. Much appreciated.

Wondering if you could help. I accidentally reset the anti cycling mode on it which was set at 2. Now I can't figure out how to set it back

Hi, if I turn off the boiler and then I turn it on again, does the boiler keep record of the initial settings or I need to set them again? Thanks
I've ended up pushing the buttons inwards and don't know how to get them to be press able again. As theyre behind, any tips or advice

Sounds more like a tap/shower fault - could be the thermostatic cartridge (if it has one), especially if all the other outlets are ok.
I have the exhaust from Vaillant Boiler next to my window now my question. Are the exhaust gases harmful to health
Thank you

How do I turn my heating on the Vaillant Ecotec pro 24?
So this mode with this icon like an umbrella, means that vaillant its off right???

@@dwhyte3392 thanks
This system is a real pain and far too complex and complicated. Software needs to be simplified. How about on and off buttons. 🤨
Get a baxi .....Vaillant are not what they used to be......

Hi, my heating stop working after a power cut.
The clock display is off, so I'm assuming the batteries have died.
How the hell do I change the batteries?! I can't seem to figure out where they go.

65c is extremely hot, your installer should check that the boiler is performing correctly and rule out a shower fault - good luck.
Martha Seignior I got one of these boilers today I notice my water up stairs ain’t hot as it should be did u find out what was wrong with yours
Same here. Can't take baths anymore. Just to cold. My old boiler was much hotter. Ever washing up dishes is cold.
I currently have hot water - but no heating in the radiators.
Boiler not displaying any warning signs. What on earth has happened?
What mad lad decided that a bent line and a triangle represented summer?
Thanks you tried at least . Vaillant management deserve a bullet over these controls, I regret buying and I've had Vaillants for over 30 years!
How do I turn it on it’s there are no lights showing . Mine seems to have turned off for some reason
if the power goes out and you turn the power back on, why does the heating work without turning it on personally?
Turn off the comfy mode ,, so make sure ( comfyoff)

If the left screen is empty I.e. doesn’t show a tap

How do you actually turn the heating on

I really cannot get along with my Salus controlled Valiant boiler. Not very intuitive to use or set.

They generally produce lots of hot water - maybe get it checked by a Gas-Safe engineer to make sure it's set up properly.
