You and the other engineer saved my life. I did the reset thing from your video. Pressurizing from another video. And again depressorizing another video. Thanks for this video. So helpful
Thank you so much! Was tearing my hair out with frustration! the radiators could not warm up even though the boiler was working.... Radiators scorching hot now. Thanks again.
Great and very helpful video. Delivery much better than the communications team at my council who think they should impart the information. Leave the experts to deliver the advice for their subject. Perfect.
Thank you so much for this video. My boiler was showing fault code f61. Was going to phone the landlords to come out and fix it. Did it myself in seconds by watching your instructions. Have a great day x
Just saved me and my roomate a huge fucking hassle and a mini panic attack. Just thought the least I could do was to leave a comment thanking you. So here it is, thank you.
So basically my boiler engineer lied to me lol he said the -/+ buttons if held down would "sweep" the boiler refreshing it removing any errors, totally fabricated lie lol. Thanks for the video, very helpful 🙂
Yes MATE. WHETHER IT WAS HELPFUL OR NOT TO MYSELF BUT I'LL SAY THIS MUCH THAT "YOU EXPLAINED IT VERU NICELY. CLEARLY AND STRAIGHT TO THE POINT, WHEREAS SOME JUST FLY THROUGH SO FAST THAT YOU'VE GOT TO KEEP ON REPLYING IT OVER AND OVER TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY'RE TRYING TO EXPLAIN.
Appreciate this! Been puzzled a while as to what temp setting for radiators is best! Thank u! On Max! No idea too what the plus and minus buttons do either! Can u explain those? I hear a lot about “pressure bar” what is best number it should be on? Why does pressing ( i)then (+) do a count 1-10 each time it’s pressed? What should it be? I left it on 1. I’d like to understand more basics about its buttons. Often in winter I get F.75 code. Not sure if it’s something I’m doing wrong? I did think radiator dial was supposed to be same as water one so I’m glad at least I know that now! I have a small baby so need to understand better my boiler.
Another use case is away from the boiler if someone accidentally turns a thermostat to zero the boiler won't fire. Always check thermostat dial which might be in your hallway.
Someone moved dial and now top reading is hN1 for heating bottom still says cylinder Im reluctant to move dial because I dont have a clue about it..can you advise please..!!
Hello thanks so much for the details. I have a question if I may, I have the vuw 280/2-5 type and I can't get to level up the water pressure. It stays really low and I have no idea if the radiator are getting filles up. Any suggestion on this? Thanks a lot
Thanks . When is it ok to call Valiant gas boiler specialist with this code F28 if it occurs more than once? Normally the Valiant staff ask for call out charge even if the boiler is under warranty as ours is only 6 months old. They refund if the boiler is faulty ? Why should F28 code comes on even gas supply is ok in the house? Does it mean part failure inside the boiler?
Hi, I have the exact same boiler and after installing new smart thermostat it worked just fine for a week and one day the boiler would not start without turning thermostat on, and when I did turn it on, the boiler is heating the water and when it comes to heating the radijators I hear it starting and then just stops. Could it be some kind od blockage because of a thermostat. Up until now there was this really old thermostat. Anyway, the boiler and its connections appear just fine
Fantastic mate. Very clear. Thanks! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 [edit] after resetting, the hot water continues to work (that was never the problem) but the radiators won’t turn on - no light appears when radiators are on like when we turn on the hot water tap. Could be an issue with the radiators themselves? All valves are open and the heater temp is turned all the way up.
How do I stop the boiler from firing up all the time? I am told to set the water and rediators to 53 or below? This stops the boiler from keeping the water hot all day etc.
One important thing you failed to tell people: The water temp knob, if its turned to Max will activate the preheat feature, this is indicated by the green light being on constant (as in the video) when the temp knob is turned to Min preheat will be turned off and the green light will be off (after turning it Min move the knob back to midway position or the water temp will be too low). Now when water flow is detected & the boiler fires up the green light will be flashing. I mention this as preheat is a feature which keeps the boiler hot 24/7, this results in water arriving at the taps a bit quicker but the downside is you will hear the boiler fire up every 1/2 hr or so 24/7 which can result in £100's extra in gas consumption per year, its optional so try it both ways, personally I would never use preheat as it can cause other problems like scaled up plate heat exchanger etc.
jaxmar88 so I have a eco tech pro 28 my plumber says optimum temp is 66 on heating. Is that correct? Also what should standing pressure be I don’t have a number just the grey line as per the video. At minute when on it’s just under half point on the grey grade when off it drops to just over the grey start of the grey line. Cheers
I am trying to get my thermastat to find my boiler it flashes but doesn't do anything have hot water but no heating if you could advise please its a vaillant
Greeting! I have the same boiler and my pressure dropped below the gray line. What should I do to raise the pressure again to half the gray zone? thank you!
My valiant boiler keeps losing pressure, it keeps dropping from 0.5 bar to 0 can you give me a diagnosis on this please. I thought it was the water intake pipe being faulty but I can't detect any leakage from it
Very clear, very informative. You are brilliant at explaining things. Thank you.
You and the other engineer saved my life. I did the reset thing from your video. Pressurizing from another video. And again depressorizing another video. Thanks for this video. So helpful
7 years later in Liverpool. Still very helpful. Better explanation then I have ever had off any of my housing assc engineer s 👍

@@angelainniss7986 Check the video at 1:00 min. Lower dial is used to set maximum temperature of your radiators. I was also looking for this info.
Very helpful and clearly presented, thank you

Very good video - currently have F28 on this boiler

Tnx
Thanks man. Now the radiators are getting proper hot.
Hi.. Can you please explain what u need to do for an error with f.27 on a vaillant ecoTEC Plus combine boiler? Thanks
What does it mean when the orange light is off pls ?
Fantastic mate. Very clear. Thanks! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Is your problem solved. I have the same issue and I am looking for a solution
It's night in here and the mechanic will most probably come on day after tomorrow
How do I stop the boiler from firing up all the time? I am told to set the water and rediators to 53 or below? This stops the boiler from keeping the water hot all day etc.
...RE: F28 - if your gas fire/ cooker is working, then it's not the fault of the gas supply?
Thanks, what are those numbers when you click the i button?
Can these old bangers be used to set a timer for the heating to come on?
So do I wait for it to fill up with water because my water pressure is too low

I was curious because I've set mine to 50C and the green light did not lit up.
Thanks for the info.
Tank you!
jaxmar88 I turned both water and radiators to minimum and the darn thing still activates, can you advise please

ahhh, id been wondering why mine was firing up without the heating on. thanks for the info !

if you touch the flame symbol with a cross through it by mistake does it effect the boiler
Thanks a lot, now i can have a shower !!
Martyna Gajewska please ho to fix cod S.31 please
What about.. when the green light isn't coming on but the boiler seems to be working fine?
Showing 1.8bar on the screen.
Etecpro 28.
My boiler comes on. The taps work. Hot water, but not the radiators?!! Can you help please
Great video, but it would have been really useful to also show how to repressurise the boiler with the loop.
