I understand that distractions are bad during training, but what about socialization and getting them used to people and sounds?

How do you train your puppy and/or older dog when you have more dogs in your home and small surroundings?

I know this is a long shot but I have no other choice! We have an extremely aggressive American bully, we have had many trainers who have given up half way through saying “there’s nothing I can do for you” we’ve reached out to boarding/training facilities and no one will take him. He has an extreme overbite which makes fitting a muzzle impossible and he is redirecting his aggression out on my and my husband and I have had many large bites (none requiring a hospital) but he can do a lot of damage and we don’t know what to do… he will DEFINITELY get put down if we give him to a shelter. I’m begging for help because no one wants to help!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your dog.
I'm not a dog trainer. I, like everyone else here, am trying to learn.
There is one trainer I've found on YT that seems to work with a lot of reactive dogs. I believe that the channel name is "Upstate Dog training" or academy. He's based out of the NY area I believe.
I'm not sure if he does zoom training calls, but you can find out.
Depending were this aggression is coming from (fear based, or just aggression), it may end up being finding a way to just manage it.
Most good trainers are going to want to get to know you, and any other people that handle the dog in a daily basis. This is because most behavioral problems can, and do start with the human.
It's just a fact, and I can attest to this through personal experience.
There is another trainer I found here that does zoom calls in his program, his name is Nate Schumer, based out of CA.
There is one other that I follow and that's Robert Cabral. He's based out of Los Angeles.
I sincerely hope that some of this information is helpful.
I truly hope that y'all find the help you that you need.
Reach out to some of the folks I mentioned, or this trainer, personally. Don't wait for a response in the comments section. They are going to need a lot more information then just the behavior. It really is impossible to give advice base just in telling them what the dogs problem is.
      Don't give up.
      ❤️🫂

This is a long shot, too. I am begining to plan my transition out of being a groomer of 18 years and entering into canine wellness consulting. Prior to grooming I worked as a veterinary technician in a conventional practice as well as an ER setting. All the while observing and intervening. My passion is helping pet parents undestand their pets and their pet's needs. If you're open to it, I believe i can shed some light on your situation.

Hey you have probably already looked into this but just wanted to mention it anyway.. my cousin had a french bulldog who became very aggressive for no reason and there was absolutely nothing they could do to prevent it from happening, it turned out he had a really bad spinal issue that was causing him a lot of pain and the aggression was because dogs don’t understand you’re not actually trying to hurt them , if you haven’t already it might be a good idea to ask your vet about some scans and tests I know it’s expensive but it could be the key to getting your loving pupper back, wishing you luck ❤

In addition to checking for something physically wrong, my suggestion, and what we did with our pup, is find a veterinary behaviorist who can prescribe meds. The meds can help bring your dog's mental state to a point where they are able to learn. Do the training and possibly ween off the drugs when the training is solid and they haven't displayed those unwanted behaviors anymore. I say possibly because it's also possible that your dog will just be on brain meds the rest of their life and that's okay too!
Whatever they need to be happy in our world.
It might also mean management rather than training. Sometimes managing a dog's environment to eliminate triggers is more realistic than training then to be okay with it
      Every dog is different.
