I have been searching for simple quillow pattern. I am so glad I found your tutorial!! I am no longer intimidated!!!! I especially liked it because it's quick and simple! No patchwork involved! Thanks for the insight!!!
You're very welcome! Yes - they can be as intricate as people want but I like quick and simple, especially for kids. Pick a fabric you love and let it do the heavy lifting. Have fun!
In all honesty@@ArtistTaraReed , my sewing buddy passed away 2 years ago. She had made her son a quillow. He ripped it and it's beyond repair! So your tutorial gave me the idea to use the original quillow as the batting. Though, I did have to cut 5" off the original one to make it the same length of the provided measurements. Guess I should have measured the quillow first, but this will work just fine!!!
I am using fleece to make qwillows, but need to use cotton fabric to make the pillow.... Any suggestions how to determine how to big to cut fabric for the pocket?
Oh that’s trickier as the fleece will be puffier… I’m just guessing but maybe 4-5” wider and taller than the tutorial suggests? Lmk what works - they sound super snuggly!
