    I’m 19 and honestly I’d love this just for myself!!!! A nice little floor bed for under my loft bed , this is exactly what I was looking to do but easier! See I was going to stuff it with stuffing but pillows way faster!!! I’m going to do a giant version of this! I’m so excited!

      They really are comfy. My son in law is always stealing them from the kids, lol.

    I hope to make this for my 2 year old grandson for Christmas. You made it look so easy.

    • @FarrellFocus
      @FarrellFocus  Рік тому +1

      It really is easy. BUT…use SEW ON VELCRO…I really didn’t know about that when I made this video and the glue from the stick on Velcro really gunked up my needle. My grandkids are almost too big for their pillow beds now…and they still love them. Lol.

      @@FarrellFocus that is good to know about the velcro.

    Love your video and your commentary, you do NOT talk too much. You do just fine. For those who say you talk too much, maybe they need to look at themselves and see why that bothers them so much: maybe THEY think THEY talk too much. You are vibrant and helpful and kind. The world needs more people like you!

    I saw a similar video for this several years ago and thought this was a brilliant way to make beds, but also figured you could do this for adults. Fleece is a very soft, warm material to use and I love using it. I have a Micro fleece (polyester) pajama/lounge pants that are so warm to run around my apartment in. In very low temperatures, you could sleep in them. Just some FYI.

    Thank you for this. I just finished this. I made it from my #Temperaturequilt #Temperature2020 quilt top. The dimensions were perfect for this project which used king size pillows. I had to add a lining so the seam allowances wouldn't interfere. It was more difficult than using fleece for sure. But pretty neat. I need it for my day bed for me. I would post a picture if I could figure out how. Thanks 😊

    Thank you Stephanie, love this idea. I can't wait to make for my nieces and nephews. Also, i didn't see the link for how you added lighting to the sewing machine? Can you let me know how you did it?

    Oh my goodness adorable! And so simple to make. Can I use snaps instead of Velcro? Strong velcro tends to damage everything in our home so I try not to use it and I love my snap pliers. Always looking for a project to use them on. I'm getting my first sewing machine soon and this looks like a great project to learn with. Think i might even be getting the same if not similar machine that you are working with. Cant wait to try this for my 3 kiddos. Baby is too little for it but with 4 counsin who have sleep over here wont hurt to have am extra. Thank you so much for sharing.

      Of course, you can modify it any way you like. And, yes, it's so easy a great beginner project. Good luck!

    I did this and it turned out great even though I had trouble. Lol, I am an over thinker. My problem was the velcro. My ma bien needles doesn't like it and it kept messing up and getting the needle sticky. I am just going to hand see the velcro. I attached 4 inch strips to the beach pillow pocket.

      Oh my gosh, I did the same thing, and then I found the “sew on” Velcro, Walmart has it. There is no sticky on it. I bought a bunch of it for my stash. 😍. Next time...

    I'm making for my grand children but I've never worked with velcro. I can't tell if you are putting it on wrong or right side of material. Could you please let me know.
    Thank you for sharing this amazing video.

    Does the glue on velcro gum-up te machine & needle? A number of people say do not sew stickyvelcro. Tku.

      @FarrellFocus  Рік тому +1

      Yes!!! I wish I had said this in this video. It was a while back. For sure use the sew on Velcro. The glue kind is doable, but it will gunk up your needles.

    hey Stephanie, love these. What stitch did you use for the velcro, straight stitch or zigzag?

    • @FarrellFocus
      @FarrellFocus  3 роки тому

      I used a straight stitch, you don’t need a tight stitch, something closer to a basting stitch. And, I wish I knew to use the “sew on” Velcro...NOT the sticky kind. It’s so much easier. 👏🏻🥰👏🏻

    Hi Stephanie! I loved your video! I made something similar years ago when my kids were little - youngest is now 30! :) I think I like your version so much better than how I made mine. I'll start on my grandchildren's pillow blankets now, for all 15 of them. In your video, you mention a link on how you added extra lights to your sewing machine. I may be looking past it, but I don't see the link. Thanks!

      Hi Lynne, 15 grandkids???? That is a lot of pillow beds!! They will love them! I'm so sorry I didn't post the sewing machine lights....they are so cool. I'm going to go look for that right now and see if I can get it posted. Thanks for watching, Hugs, Stephanie

    Instead of using velcro, could I put buttons? Would that hold on the fleece material?

    • @FarrellFocus
      @FarrellFocus  6 років тому

      Janessa Olney I’m sure you could. I haven’t tried it, so why not! 😍

      I know it’s been a year but if using buttons, use a thick interfacing as fleece stretches. Personally I’d use snaps. With cats and dogs and grandkids, Velcro here picks up everything! After a bit of time,either you replace the Velcro or spend a lot of time cleaning it.
