This is so cool. Every quilt I make for nieces and nephews from now on will be a quillow.

Love this. Just learned about a quillow as a quick quilty gift. Your option of the corner tacked "pillow" makes so much sense and is easier! Thanks Rob

I LOVE Man sewing!!!! Not only are you creative, you always make me smile with your humor....sometimes I will watch a tutorial as I deconstruct a faulty seam to keep me motivated to re-construct afterward - thank you for blogging

I made a quillow for my young step son in 1999. It was well loved and passed around to all seven kids. It was used at home, in the car, at daycare, and for nap time at kindergarten. Beautiful and oh so functional!! Thanks for giving new life to this "blast from the past."

Brilliant video thanks great to see presenters admitting to and leaving their mistakes in the video... It really helps novices like myself feel better when things go wrong.. also love your honesty about the quilting... Your videos have a natural teaching flow and the steps easy to follow and understand easily.. Thanks again

Rob - GREAT modern and much improved way of making a quillow. Have made many in the past but always layered then right sides together, sew around the edges, turned and tied them. Your demonstration is wonderful and looks so much nicer than the old method. Love the idea to make both sides of the pillow "pretty" and the tacking of the edges of the pillow is much nicer than the ugly straight stitching. You rock, young man!

The very first quilt I ever made was a quillow in my high school sewing class for my sister's wedding back in 98/99. it counted as my big project for the year and also made an awesome wedding gift!

Never even heard of a quillow. Being disabled and when I leave my home to visit my niece or going home to see my mom, this would be the perfect project for me to sew up.. THANKS ALOT.........

I was thinking about making a quillow as a gift for a granddaughter's birthday. I only have a week, so I know they are quick to make (I have made many of them years ago). Was surprised to see that this was your video for today! Thanks for a "refresher" on how to make one! Now to get busy sewing!! Thanks so much, Rob!!

I absolutely love this project! I'm planning on making one of these for each of my three older grandchildren for this next Christmas. I'm sure that they'll love these, as well as their mom because they can be used as an accent pillow for their beds as well as a quilt for warmth. Thank you so much, Rob!

This is the best demonstration on making a quillow I have seen. I really like your demonstrations for several reasons. Mainly you don't edit out your mistakes, and you don't try to be a "perfect know-it-all".

I am definitely a subscriber to Man Sewing. It is hard to select a favorite and I have already commented on this tutorial. However, I would sure like to win the free cordless iron. I would like to say that I really enjoy watching Rob every Monday - he always has some new tip and great tutorials. He has great presentation and makes watching fun. My husband even enjoys his approach.

Great tutorial ... as usual. Made one years ago ... keep it in the car. (On trips and God forbid just in case of an accident or breakdown). I like the idea of the "tacking" it 3 or 4 places on each side of the pillow ... does help with folding it back up. Great for overnights at friends for your kids. Also, lay on the couch, place it upside down and tuck your feet in the quillow pouch to keep them warm. ;)
