I have been a patient of Dr Louise for about 7 seven years now and I found her after struggling with the after effects of full hysterectomy/oophorectomy when I was 42, (I’m 56 now) and lack of GP help/knowledge - “well life isn’t like Hollywood and you’re not 21 anymore” said my female GP. I should say I work in the NHS. I travelled to Birmingham from Lancashire to see her - I immediately felt at ease and felt that finally someone was listening and understood. She absolutely sends you back to NHS care once your prescription has been finalised and hormones regulated. My NHS experience still wasn’t great so I have stayed with the Newson clinic and am happy to pay for a annual review and my prescription every 3 months - I don’t drink or smoke and choose to spend my money on my wellness. I am forever grateful.
Thank you iam saving money to go to see her! I have a menopause gp appointment next week but not expecting much since they don't even do an initial blood test. Can't wait to meet Dr Louise!

You have validated my own take on everything i have been telling my own community for many years and offered excellent support to someone who did no deserve to be treated in this way.
yes, they prefer women to be given all other sort of medications like statins and anti depressants, they are biased and bent, the BMS. I am ignoring all their websites and specialists, they are just rubbish.
Bravo to you and Dr Newson and her team for all the hard work to make such a life-changing improvement to women's health. The Panorama programme was a disservice to 51% of the population and I have complained to both BBC and Ofcom. Thank you for setting out the facts so clearly.
Proud of you Liz 🙌🙌 I’m a patient at Newson health and they sorted my hormones out. Post hysterectomy I had horrendous insomnia and anxiety and the NHS didn’t help me but they did and the past years had been so much better now I’m on HRT.
Thank you Liz!! I think you’ve told the world exactly what they need to know, so relieved as thought that programme would set us all back years. Keep up the brilliant work Louise
Fantastic and beautifully articulated response to a disgraceful and biased Panorama fabrication. You and Dr. Louise Newson should be incredibly proud of what you have, and continue to achieve. Please keep going. 🤗
Thanks Liz for this wonderful blog and sticking up for Newson clinic. Newson clinic helped me tremendously with my debilitating menopause issues and my GP always takes Newson clinic advice/recommendations when prescribing my HRT. Please don’t let Louise Newson give up her wonderful work. I have now logged a complaint via the bbc website about the appalling Panorama program.
I am not a UK citizen, I live in Portugal as an expat, I’m a huge fan of Dr Louise and Newson Health, AND I just filed a complaint with the BBC. Thanks so much for the back story and bringing this to my attention!
Well done Liz 👏👏👏👏 Dr Newson is an amazing woman, professional & leading light in menopause awareness. Thank you for providing your usual excellent & balanced view point 🙏🏻
This is such an interesting listen and so glad I have watched your video. I went to see my GP to talk about trying HRT but she wasn't interested in talking to me. Very worrying that a charity is more concerned about loosing money than helping women with their health.
Thanks Liz, this is so needed. My friends and I have been scratching our heads wondering what was at the root of this unjust vilification… well now we know. Will be making a complaint before the deadline.
Well done Liz I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. 5 complaints out of 45,000 women treated. My menopause started at 43 after chemotherapy. The symptoms of the menopause were worse than the chemotherapy because I couldn’t understand what the hell was happening to me. Newson health saved me back in 2018. I am thriving now thanks to Louise Newson.
I have forwarded this video to all the women I know. Thank you Liz for doing this. I have already complained twice to the BBC receiving 2 patronising blanket responses. I will now move on to Ofcom. I have already STOPPED following the BMS !!
Thank you Liz ... I'm done with the BBC .... I didnt watch the Panorama programme, thinking it would be one sided & I've always found Newson health very professional.... A Witch hunt indeed ..... If it wasn't for yourself, Louise, Davina & many more informative podcasts & videos about menopause, I would still be suffering from 2 migraines a week ,vomiting for 10 hours a day with each migraine, it was absolutely horrendous... BECAUSE OF MY LACK OF ESTROGEN ... I am 55 years old.... My GP was dealing with my migraines ,or trying to, until i learnt so much from yourselves & could HRT be the answer? Yes is was ,no more migraines for me after starting HRT ....Amen
Hello Liz, I am a bit lost for words sorry 😞 thank you for your video, how you stayed calm I don't know. I wasn't aware of Panarama programme wouldn't watch it anyway. I can't thank you and Louise for all you are doing for all of us women. Thank you again x
I am so glad you have aired this. I have been a Louise Newson supporter since Covid when I found you & Louise. I have so many friends who won’t touch HRT & poo poo my support of HRT & they throw this program at me. I just needed to hear someone who is educated & unbiased give this info. What is going here? Why does this happen around women’s health 😢. Thank goodness for you, Louise etc for your empowerment & help to get the right message out there for women 🙏🙌
Thank you Liz for your video and concise explanation. I was shocked when I watched the Panorama programme and you have prompted me to make a complaint to the BBC and Ofcom (just in time!)
Thank you Liz for the informative piece and speaking up. I am in the camp who did not watch Panorama and believer in Louise and Newson Health and delighted to just be that!
liz, this is amazing. thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and sharing everything so clearly for others to make sense of everything. ❤❤❤
Thank you for the in depth research and analysis you have undertaken Liz. In Australia we feel left behind as it is, and need professionals and experts in the field of menopause more than ever. I hope Dr Newson continues her fight to bring awareness to the world ❤
I’m off to the Stratford Newson Clinic for my check up in two weeks. I’ve been going since lockdown. I always have a great experience and the Dr I see has corresponded with my doctor. Great analysis Liz, I think you should go on morning TV and spread the word. Go Liz…a very important message and reassurance to many women watching your video. Thank you also for dropping the background music. ❤
So well said!! Thank you for your thoughts on this. I have been so let down by the NHS in terms of women's health over the years after infertility and an early menopause. Thank goodness for all the work that Dr Newson and doctors like her do.
This is a brilliant video Liz. So well summarised. Thank you so much for putting this important message out there so that women can have a balanced view and understand how imbalanced the Panorama piece was. You are an inspiration, thank you for all you do for women. Love Sarah (GP and a menopause doctor) xx
What an amazing kickback! I am so pleased you’ve done this. I’m so sad that more people of influence have decided to stay schtum on this. Or say very little. Thank you thank. I got my complaint in to the BBC and Ofcom last night before it finished.
So pleased you have done this video, thank you 🙏 I have been a patient at the Newson Clinic where I received the best of care and was later referred to the NHS. I was extremely sad to hear of this unfair Panarama report.
Thank you so much for this. I was appalled, upset and disgusted by the Panorama programme, so I’m grateful to you for providing the links to complain, which I’ve just done. There is a self-justifying statement on their website defending the programme, and showing that they have not taken any of the criticism on board. Dr Newson is a victim of pettiness and jealousy, which sadly often seems to happen to exceptional people who show up the mediocrity of the “establishment “.
BRAVO!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 You 💯 hit the nail on the head. THANK YOU 🙏🏼 I’ve been a patient of Newson Health for a couple of years. My life forever changed for the better having been educated about the benefits of HRT. I do feel for those 5 patients, but SHAME on you Panorama for being totally one sided. That is not journalism and it’s shocking that the BBC would allow this kind of reporting. Do better for 51% of the population.
Thankyou so much for putting in the work to get this important piece out. I complained to the BBC & Offcom after the panorama doc came out. I couldn’t believe what I was watching! Thank goodness for the indefatigable Dr Louise Newson and everything she’s doing for us and our children.
Thank you Liz. Your well researched response should be aired on the BBC. All the work that Louise has done in this area and everyone else striving for equality in women’s health in this country should be applauded. My life was transformed when I became a patient at Newson Health suffering for 14 years when trying without success to get HRT through the NHS. I was astonished at the one sided view of the Panorama documentary and grateful for this clearly articulated response to set the record straight. All women have the right to a the correct and fair healthcare.
THANK YOU Liz. For using your respected and well known voice to stand up for Dr N and speak up for women everywhere. BBC and OFCOM complaints done. ✔️ This has been the most damaging thing for women since the now-debunked ‘WHI study’. May this be debunked too.
Thank you for this, having been prescribed the highest licensed dose just before the programme aired I’ve been worried even though I’m a regular listener to Louise Newson’s podcast. I should add that my GP who is a women’s health specialist told me HRT isn’t only for vasomotor symptoms (hot flushes etc) and she would have to refer me to the menopause clinic at the hospital. Long story short the increased patches are working really well and the symptoms I had been having on the 75 patch are resolved. It’s obvious that you have researched thoroughly before responding, I now understand a lot more about oestrogen doses and will happily continue on my current dose.
Thank you from Perth Western Australia for supporting Dr Newson.. .. I watch all her podcasts and am grateful for her shared knowledge it helped me on my H R T journey as a 70 year old woman ..I haven’t seen the panorama program but won’t be watching it and I thank your subscribing for sending in complaints to the BBC and Ofcom ..best wishes to all
Thank you for highlighting this and explaining this so clearly x Do Newson is a trailblazer for women’s health and she will get her reward and recognition in due course but unfortunately it’s too soon 😮 I’ve made a complaint for the first time ever I hope she gets the apology she rightly deserves xx
WOW - How you remained so calm.....I was livid listening to you state the facts. But not surprised, I am acutely aware research into woman's bodies and healthcare is sadly underfunded. Never mind research into peri-menopausal women of any ethnicity. Well done and thank you. Thank you for shining a light on the facts, knowledge is power.
Why have Newson Health discussed the health records of the women who made complaints? That is confidential information and legally cannot be shared with another person without that patient's consent.
What Liz says is that Newson Health said the patients referred to in the programme - some of whom were interviewed - were well-monitored and that their records would prove it. That is not the same as divulging their medical records. No specifics were mentioned and it was also clear from the programme that the women mentioned had already disclosed, of their own volition, that they were patients of Newson Health. So no breach of confidentiality there either. The irony here is that doctor-patient confidentiality in this scenario means that the patient can speak freely but the doctors are limited in what they can say in the context of a TV programme. (Different where there is a formal professional/legal investigation where all info must be disclosed by all parties.) So this 'trial' by Panorama was one-sided and vilified one person and her body of work. The BMS needs to wake up and catch up, rather wring its hands in horror. Women in this new generation (Gen X and Millennials) are seeking proper information and evidence so they can make decisions about their health and quality of life.
Well done Liz. I’ve no dealings with the Newson Clinic but am well aware of the good work Dr Louise & her team do. This is by far your best piece of journalism (and I’ve ready lots of your work over the years) simply because of how effective you are at highlighting this issue and providing us all with very factual information. Thanks for raising awareness of this situation and speaking out on behalf of so many women. I hope good sense prevails.
I'm also a patient of the Newson clinic. I went there with such severe issues I felt I couldn't go on. They picked apart my life and symptoms and within six weeks I started to improve. My GP hadn't been able to help me. Eighteen months later I'm almost back to myself. I only use a small dose of estrogen but it isn't about how much you use it's how much you absorb. I am grateful to the Newson clinic for helping me get my life back.
Louise always comes over as authentic, empathetic and a genuine advocate for women’s health. I didn’t watch the doc when I heard about it because it sounded like a negative hit job. Thanks Liz for confirming this.
Amazing. Well done - I watched this today as I’m off ill with Covid and was a aghast that one of the menopause heroes in all of this was being touted as unreliable and without integrity and knowledge. I will be filing a complaint also.
I bet the BBC won't broadcast this! They should be taken off air, to think that our taxes fund the rubbish they produce. I have been a Newson Health patient for the past few years, although my GP was supportive Newson health have been fantastic. Newson Health save thousands of women lives every single year. Thank you for making a balanced video and supporting Dr Newson; she is a trail blazer and should be celebrated and not be so clearly and publicly bullied by the BBC.
I’m so proud of you, Liz! Funny how men don’t have this issue getting viagra, isn’t it ? I’ve watched you for years and I have just started body identical HRT, even though I’m through the menopause. You have shown the benefits towards heart health and bone health. Well done for defending Louise Newson xx
We would not be where we are today with the menopause and HRT knowledge without Louise fighting for us women and our right to the knowledge and treatment. Thank you for giving us the freedom of choice I will always be grateful for the work that Louise has done for women.
Thank you for being a vocal advocate for Dr. Louise. I recently finished listening to her book, and it is an incredibly comprehensive resource for women experiencing peri & post menopause. It is a must-read, and I highly recommend it to the BMS and the BBC. They may gain valuable insights and knowledge from it! During my 13 years of experience in general practice management, five patient complaints is really unremarkable. Thank you from Australia 🇦🇺 🙏
THANK YOU!!!!! I'm American, we are way behind the UK on perimenopause and menopause care! You are a pundit on this very vital issue. Thank you for championing this cause! In the US, there is no money in menopause research and our healthcare is a business.
I’m not a patient of Louise’s but have used her information to advocate for myself with my NHS GP. This didn’t work so I ended up going private. I watched the program and was bewildered so wrote a complaint to the BBC the following day. Of course, they defended themselves, but at least the complaint has been logged
Just made an official BBC complaint, hope it’s through on time. Dr Newson is a lifesaver for women and needs all our support now. She is such an advocate for correct menopause treatment. Can’t thank her enough for getting my life back. ❤
Liz you are a strong advocate for women and I thank you for it. This Panorama programme is reminiscent of the poor journalism in the 70/80s when HRT was portrayed as a bad solution for women with scare mongering, this caused women to shy away from HRT for decades. Thank you for explaining from your researched knowledge Liz. BBC website here I come.
❤ thankyou Liz I watched that Panorama episode with disbelief and thank goodness you do what you do! I’ve missed the deadline to complain about that program unfortunately …
Brilliant well balanced video Liz. Not enough questions being asked about who makes the decisions about what’s broadcast on the BBC. 5/45000 and the damage could ripple out in so many ways affecting thousands of women through loss of faith in menopause medicine. When perhaps the faith that should be questioned is in the programmers behind the Panorama show.
Thank you, Liz, for this brilliant, rational, well-researched and much needed statement. I'm only sorry that I didn't find it in time to lodge a formal complaint, but thank you for the complaints you have lodged and I sincerely hope they lead to the right outcome.
Thank you so much for this. I went to my GP with my report from Dr Louise newsons clinic last week my GP looked at me soon as she seen my report and said no I’m not giving anything this women suggests as she’s being struck off. I came out of there sobbing I’m 40 years old had an hysterectomy for cancer 10 years ago and the NHS left me years with no hormones Newson clinic suggested hug dose of oestrogen and some progesterone not for womb protection but to help me with my crippling anxiety she refused and I’m fighting them for it all it’s absolutely shockingNewson clinic have been amazing with me even wrote another report for my GP to back me up they are all amazing there and helping thousands of women my GP was happy to offer me a an anti depressant of which I refused but wouldn’t give me hormones that my body naturally needs Thank you all of you for helping us women you are angels ❤️
@@lizearlewellbeing it’s been and still is a rough ride but I’m using all the resources from people like yourself and Dr Newson to arm myself and educate myself best I can thank goodness us women have people like you guys to help us fight our corner although it’s sad we have to fight ❤️
Thanks for this video. It’s interesting that you say GPs listen to the advice from Newson. I’m a patient of Newson and have been very happy with their care after subpar perimenopause treatment (well lack of it) at the GP. Being told by a male GP that I was depressed when I knew I wasn’t was not a surprise as so many perimenopausal women have the same experience…. A nurse at my clinic said go private and come back to us and we can prescribe. I followed her advice and feel so much better on high dose oestrogen HRT. Up until my last repeat HRT prescription my GP was happy to prescribe but it’s all changed some Panorama and they are no longer prescribing off-license high dose oestrogen after a change in practice protocol! This is so short sighted. I feel that this is a huge step back in women’s health care.
Hi Liz, this is a great video I myself am a patient of Louise Newson and genuinely think she saved my life. My menopausal symptoms were so horrific. My GP refused to prescribe me HRT because of the cardiovascular risk despite the NICE guidelines stating that HRT does not increase risk of cardiovascular disease in women of my age and does not cause an increased risk of death from cardiovascular disease at all. So I contacted the Louise Newson clinic, got my life back, saw my GP and showed them how much healthier I was on HRT, with charts and records and everything. And they still refused to prescribe me HRT. I was a qualified nurse, my menopause symptoms were so severe I could no longer work and had to give up my nursing registration in 2022. Interestingly enough, the BNF (British National Formulary), which is what medical professionals refer to with any questions or queries about medications, does not mention 100mcg as the maximum dose for transdermal patches. Instead, they give a starting dose and then say ‘adjust dose according to response’
I’ve been a patient of the Newson Clinic and cannot speak highly enough of the treatment I had, when my own GP said I couldn’t have HRT. As one of Louise’s patients, I received lengthy calls with my Dr who each time, then sent me very detailed reports of the conversation and treatment and each time, a copy was sent to my GP. I also received regular blood tests to monitor levels as I was one of the ‘poor absorbers’. Following the reports from Newson Health, the same GP who said I couldn’t have HRT completely changed her opinion of my suitability for HRT and indeed supported my decision, but I wonder if this would be the case had I not have gone to the Newson clinic. Louise has done more than any other person or persons collectively, to advance hormonal care for women and thousands of women are now empowered to ask their GP’s for appropriate treatment because of her. Thank you Liz for your factual and detailed appraisal of this damning documentary!
Thank you so much Liz. Very well explained and in fact eye-opening as to the deeper facts and evidence that the programme either didn't research or chose to avoid reporting on. Disappointing from the BBC who pride themselves on trust and impartiality. Thanks again for this and for sharing the links 🙏
I'm in the USA so wasn't able to see the documentary, it's not available here (thank goodness!). Thank you for taking the time to set the record straight. HRT and Dr. Newson has given back my life. On a positive note, here in the US, there was a great documentary on menopause on a major broadcast channel. It's called "M-Factor" - check it out. Hopefully, change will come about soon for women's health. We're such a underserved population.
Thank you for informing us about the M-factor documentary. I am a teacher from Germany who is so so thankful to Dr. Newson and her work... I will try to watch the aforementioned documentary. Best wishes to you from Germany!
Thank you for such an informative and brave post. You are a respected author and your contribution/complaint will be noted with interest. I started taking HRT 10 years ago and was lucky enough to have had the most wonderful Asian male GP who read all the information I gave him on oestrogel as compared to the Premarin he offered me. His lack of knowledge was because of the after effects of the million women study which was flawed but resulted in millions of women being then off of HRT. We need women like you to challenge these false TV documentaries which are pedalling untruths. Social media so often gets the blame for false reporting but the BBC, as a public funded broadcaster, should be ashamed of this programme.
Go Liz! Thank you for the video. We should get Dr Mary Claire Haver over here and get a conference organised to advance proper menopause care in the UK.
Liz. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am in tears listening to this. I know that my oestrogen prescribed level is too low and my symptoms are ( again) brain fog, tears, insomnia , dry skin, watery eyes, frequent urination. Ive been put on incorrect dose of Prog for a year by a Gyny consultant resulting in heavy bleeding , labour level pain and need for a biopsy to rule out cancer, thankfully that was fine. Im going to try a higher oestrogen dose for a week and see if I get back to normal function. I dont have faith in the NHS 'EXPERTS' in Edinburgh that the GPs defer to. Im lucky enough to also be on T but that was a minefield to get prescribed.
Totally agree feels very like drama driven panorama ignorance. Putting women back in the box is very apt as I felt it was misogyny 😢
Amazing amazing amazing 🎉

Sorry to hear ❤️
Thanks Liz, this is so needed. My friends and I have been scratching our heads wondering what was at the root of this unjust vilification… well now we know. Will be making a complaint before the deadline.
❤
Well done Liz I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said.
5 complaints out of 45,000 women treated.
My menopause started at 43 after chemotherapy. The symptoms of the menopause were worse than the chemotherapy because I couldn’t understand what the hell was happening to me. Newson health saved me back in 2018. I am thriving now thanks to Louise Newson.
❤
I have forwarded this video to all the women I know. Thank you Liz for doing this. I have already complained twice to the BBC receiving 2 patronising blanket responses. I will now move on to Ofcom. I have already STOPPED following the BMS !!
Hopefully collectively we can make a difference ❤
@@lizearlewellbeing 🙌🏼
💪💪💪💪🤗🤗🤗
❤
Hello Liz, I am a bit lost for words sorry 😞 thank you for your video, how you stayed calm I don't know. I wasn't aware of Panarama programme wouldn't watch it anyway. I can't thank you and Louise for all you are doing for all of us women. Thank you again x
❤
I love you for speaking out on behalf of your friend and colleague. Its empowering and helpful and Im grateful for your courage xx
We're speaking out on behalf of midlife women ❤️
Brilliant and informative video Liz. Thank you for pushing this. I have complained to the BBC and Ofcom.
Excellent!
❤️
Thank you Liz for your video and concise explanation. I was shocked when I watched the Panorama programme and you have prompted me to make a complaint to the BBC and Ofcom (just in time!)
❤
Thank you Liz for the informative piece and speaking up. I am in the camp who did not watch Panorama and believer in Louise and Newson Health and delighted to just be that!
❤️
Brilliantly explained Liz, Thankyou for taking the time to do this x
❤
liz, this is amazing. thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and sharing everything so clearly for others to make sense of everything. ❤❤❤
❤
Thank you so much for this video Liz. Very informative, very balanced and much needed.
❤️
Thank you for the in depth research and analysis you have undertaken Liz. In Australia we feel left behind as it is, and need professionals and experts in the field of menopause more than ever. I hope Dr Newson continues her fight to bring awareness to the world ❤
Thanks so much for watching ❤
Seconded !
Just came from a vulval derm consult and no mention of / option for compound hormone assistance whatsoever. Astounded.
❤
So well said!! Thank you for your thoughts on this. I have been so let down by the NHS in terms of women's health over the years after infertility and an early menopause. Thank goodness for all the work that Dr Newson and doctors like her do.
❤
This is a brilliant video Liz. So well summarised.
Thank you so much for putting this important message out there so that women can have a balanced view and understand how imbalanced the Panorama piece was.
You are an inspiration, thank you for all you do for women.
Love Sarah (GP and a menopause doctor) xx
Thank you so much! That means a lot ❤
I’ve just submitted a complaint. I hope collectively we can make a difference.
💕♀️💕♀️💕💪

Just submitted complaint. Exceptional video Liz , thank you 👏🏻👏🏻😊
Thank you ❤
Thank you for sharing this balanced and informative video. I hope it reaches far and wide and helps to change the future landscape for women’s health.
Let's hope so ❤
Well done Liz. Thank you. Great to have you on our side 👏👏👏👏
❤️
What would we do without amazing women like you and Louise to look out for us women, I’ve put my complaint in tonight.
❤
Thank you for doing this for us.
❤❤
What an amazing kickback! I am so pleased you’ve done this. I’m so sad that more people of influence have decided to stay schtum on this. Or say very little. Thank you thank. I got my complaint in to the BBC and Ofcom last night before it finished.
❤
So pleased you have done this video, thank you 🙏 I have been a patient at the Newson Clinic where I received the best of care and was later referred to the NHS.
I was extremely sad to hear of this unfair Panarama report.
❤
Thank you so much for this. I was appalled, upset and disgusted by the Panorama programme, so I’m grateful to you for providing the links to complain, which I’ve just done. There is a self-justifying statement on their website defending the programme, and showing that they have not taken any of the criticism on board. Dr Newson is a victim of pettiness and jealousy, which sadly often seems to happen to exceptional people who show up the mediocrity of the “establishment “.
❤️
❤
Well said 👏 👌 thank you Liz Earl 👏 👍 x
Thanks for watching!
Thankyou so much for putting in the work to get this important piece out.
I complained to the BBC & Offcom after the panorama doc came out. I couldn’t believe what I was watching!
Thank goodness for the indefatigable Dr Louise Newson and everything she’s doing for us and our children.
❤️
👏👏👏
I’ve been under the Newson team, and they have helped me greatly. Where the NHS was not able to.
❤
This it first time at your channel. I found the talk style suits me very well. Thank you. I have subscribed and intend to sample more of your work.
Glad you enjoyed ❤
Well presented. Thank you Liz Earle. I shall make my complaints to the BBC and Ofcom today.
Excellent!
❤
This was very enlightening, thank you ❤
❤️
Pleased to see you do this thank you
❤
thanks Liz, VERY useful to hear this.
❤
THANK YOU Liz. For using your respected and well known voice to stand up for Dr N and speak up for women everywhere. BBC and OFCOM complaints done. ✔️ This has been the most damaging thing for women since the now-debunked ‘WHI study’. May this be debunked too.
❤
So pleased you've found some support for your symptoms ❤
Thanks so much liz from the Netherlands. You explained it so very well❤❤
❤
Thank you from Perth Western Australia for supporting Dr Newson.. .. I watch all her podcasts and am grateful for her shared knowledge it helped me on my H R T journey as a 70 year old woman ..I haven’t seen the panorama program but won’t be watching it and I thank your subscribing for sending in complaints to the BBC and Ofcom ..best wishes to all
Thank you ❤
Thank you for highlighting this and explaining this so clearly x
Do Newson is a trailblazer for women’s health and she will get her reward and recognition in due course but unfortunately it’s too soon 😮
I’ve made a complaint for the first time ever
I hope she gets the apology she rightly deserves xx
❤️
Thank you so very much for this, ❤❤❤
❤
Hi liz thank you so much for this video ❤ xx
❤
WOW - How you remained so calm.....I was livid listening to you state the facts. But not surprised, I am acutely aware research into woman's bodies and healthcare is sadly underfunded. Never mind research into peri-menopausal women of any ethnicity.
Well done and thank you.
Thank you for shining a light on the facts, knowledge is power.
❤
Thank you Liz I am a patient of the Newson Clinic & I would not be able to function healthily or even drive without the right hrt. ❤
❤
Thank you for this video and supporting both women in menopauze and Dr. Newson ❤
❤
So eloquently put thank you my love
❤
Absolutely brilliant work thankyou
Many thanks! ❤
(Different where there is a formal professional/legal investigation where all info must be disclosed by all parties.)
So this 'trial' by Panorama was one-sided and vilified one person and her body of work. The BMS needs to wake up and catch up, rather wring its hands in horror. Women in this new generation (Gen X and Millennials) are seeking proper information and evidence so they can make decisions about their health and quality of life.
Why have you not listened properly?
Well done Liz. I’ve no dealings with the Newson Clinic but am well aware of the good work Dr Louise & her team do. This is by far your best piece of journalism (and I’ve ready lots of your work over the years) simply because of how effective you are at highlighting this issue and providing us all with very factual information. Thanks for raising awareness of this situation and speaking out on behalf of so many women. I hope good sense prevails.
❤
I adore you for doing this Liz! I really appreciate Dr Newson.
❤️
Thank you so much for your considered and evidenced based defence of Dr Newson. I was appalled when I watched it.
❤️
I'm also a patient of the Newson clinic. I went there with such severe issues I felt I couldn't go on. They picked apart my life and symptoms and within six weeks I started to improve.
My GP hadn't been able to help me.
Eighteen months later I'm almost back to myself.
I only use a small dose of estrogen but it isn't about how much you use it's how much you absorb.
I am grateful to the Newson clinic for helping me get my life back.
❤️
Louise always comes over as authentic, empathetic and a genuine advocate for women’s health. I didn’t watch the doc when I heard about it because it sounded like a negative hit job. Thanks Liz for confirming this.
❤
Amazing. Well done - I watched this today as I’m off ill with Covid and was a aghast that one of the menopause heroes in all of this was being touted as unreliable and without integrity and knowledge. I will be filing a complaint also.
Thank you!!! Please file this complaint!! I am from Germany and Dr Newson is my hero who literally save me out of Menopause hell... ♀️💪♀️💪♀️
❤
Well said and thank you for your research xx
Thanks for watching!
❤
Grateful to you for doing this, dear Liz - also on our behalf. Much love from sunny South Africa💕💕
Thank you so much! ❤
🙏😘
❤
We would not be where we are today with the menopause and HRT knowledge without Louise fighting for us women and our right to the knowledge and treatment. Thank you for giving us the freedom of choice I will always be grateful for the work that Louise has done for women.
🤗♀️💕
❤
Very well explained. Thank you
❤️
Thank you for being a vocal advocate for Dr. Louise. I recently finished listening to her book, and it is an incredibly comprehensive resource for women experiencing peri & post menopause. It is a must-read, and I highly recommend it to the BMS and the BBC. They may gain valuable insights and knowledge from it! During my 13 years of experience in general practice management, five patient complaints is really unremarkable. Thank you from Australia 🇦🇺 🙏
👍💕♀️
❤️
Who expects a fair and balanced report from the BBC? Not me😢
THANK YOU!!!!! I'm American, we are way behind the UK on perimenopause and menopause care! You are a pundit on this very vital issue. Thank you for championing this cause! In the US, there is no money in menopause research and our healthcare is a business.
❤
Wow wow! Thank you for this eye opening and thought provoking video. Hope Dr Newson gets the justice she so rightly deserves. ❤
I’m not a patient of Louise’s but have used her information to advocate for myself with my NHS GP. This didn’t work so I ended up going private. I watched the program and was bewildered so wrote a complaint to the BBC the following day. Of course, they defended themselves, but at least the complaint has been logged
Thank you for making the effort to make this complaint! 💪😘
❤
Just made an official BBC complaint, hope it’s through on time. Dr Newson is a lifesaver for women and needs all our support now. She is such an advocate for correct menopause treatment. Can’t thank her enough for getting my life back. ❤
👍😂💪
❤
So eye-opening, thankyou
❤
Thank you Liz for your informative video,
Thanks for watching!
@@lizearlewellbeing thank you for your reply, your passion and dedication to women’s wellbeing is admirable
❤ thankyou Liz I watched that Panorama episode with disbelief and thank goodness you do what you do! I’ve missed the deadline to complain about that program unfortunately …
❤️
Brilliant well balanced video Liz. Not enough questions being asked about who makes the decisions about what’s broadcast on the BBC. 5/45000 and the damage could ripple out in so many ways affecting thousands of women through loss of faith in menopause medicine. When perhaps the faith that should be questioned is in the programmers behind the Panorama show.
❤
Well done Liz I am sharing this too. ❤
Thank you ❤
Thank you, Liz, for this brilliant, rational, well-researched and much needed statement. I'm only sorry that I didn't find it in time to lodge a formal complaint, but thank you for the complaints you have lodged and I sincerely hope they lead to the right outcome.
❤
Thank you so much for this. I went to my GP with my report from Dr Louise newsons clinic last week my GP looked at me soon as she seen my report and said no I’m not giving anything this women suggests as she’s being struck off. I came out of there sobbing I’m 40 years old had an hysterectomy for cancer 10 years ago and the NHS left me years with no hormones Newson clinic suggested hug dose of oestrogen and some progesterone not for womb protection but to help me with my crippling anxiety she refused and I’m fighting them for it all it’s absolutely shockingNewson clinic have been amazing with me even wrote another report for my GP to back me up they are all amazing there and helping thousands of women my GP was happy to offer me a an anti depressant of which I refused but wouldn’t give me hormones that my body naturally needs
Thank you all of you for helping us women you are angels ❤️
That is absolutely disgusting you deserve so much better ❤
I suggest you send them this video. Advocate for yourself and saying she was struck off is absolutely rubbish. So sorry you are battling.
That's so frustrating and so sorry to read this - your body, your choice! Please do seek another GP if you can ❤
@@lizearlewellbeing it’s been and still is a rough ride but I’m using all the resources from people like yourself and Dr Newson to arm myself and educate myself best I can thank goodness us women have people like you guys to help us fight our corner although it’s sad we have to fight ❤️
I doubt very much that Dr Newson is being struck off. Your doctor sounds like such a drama queen 😊xx
❤️
Excellent and informative thank you.
You're welcome! ❤️
So glad you have done this video
❤️
Hi Liz, this is a great video
I myself am a patient of Louise Newson and genuinely think she saved my life.
Thank you for sharing ❤️
❤
Thank you Liz, from Germany!!! ❤
Thanks for watching! ❤
Thanks so much ❤
I'm in the USA so wasn't able to see the documentary, it's not available here (thank goodness!).
❤️
❤️
Go Liz! Thank you for the video. We should get Dr Mary Claire Haver over here and get a conference organised to advance proper menopause care in the UK.
💪♀️💪♀️💪
❤
Thank you for sharing ❤️
Thank you for this video. I found the programme extremely odd for all the reasons you mention.
❤️
