Easily one of the best rock and roll performances period. I find myself coming back to this performance at least every half year and then just binging on it.
Jack lived here in Memphis for a short time and would occasionally join us for neighborhood BBQs. Nobody knew who he was because they were mostly seniors but they said he played music in his garage alot.
@@quontumleeep9430 No you're both wrong. lol He got mad because the amp became unplugged from his guitar when he picked the guitar back up from the desk. It's why he instantly threw the guitar down after it stopped making a sound, and it made Meg pause her drumming for a split second. Then she picked it back up a second later and he finished the song without the guitar. And its why the ending sounded sort of awkward and she didn't stop hitting the drum when he finished. Because she is so used to ending the song on beat with his guitar, so she wasn't sure when the song was ending. He has played on Conan many times by this point, along with many other Late Night talk shows. He is fully aware the host isn't sitting at their desk during performances. lol And him and Conan have a fairly close relationship. He is really serious about his craft and was simply annoyed he didn't get the finish the song like he wanted to and had to finish it without his guitar.
@@YerpDerp17 The correct answer. I always read it as him not being mad, as much as "Fuck it, I don't need the guitar to finish this." Homeboy is possessed on stage, and purposely sets himself up to have a hard time. This is what I've heard him say in interviews.
I remember when Conan had them as the musical guest all week. It was the first time I had "seen" them. I went back to work at guitar center a changed musician. The most awesome duo ever. Had heard them and loved the music but seeing these 2 people seriously rocked my world.
I don’t care what they say I still think Meg is as cute as can be and I love watching her bash the hell out of the drums. Jack is still by far one of the best guitarists in my opinion.
