- Omg I am officially fan of Skid Row, Every single song which I heard so far - so lovely. I adore the moment at 6:35 , can listen it again and again.
Album "Slave to the Grind"
1991
Lyrics
She caught the melting sky
It burned but still the winter passes by and by
To the other side
A slow parade of wind
That blows through trees that wilted with the season's children
Are we saved by the words of bastard saints
Do we live in fear or faith
Tell me now who's behind the rain
A maze of tangled grace
The symptoms of "for real" are crumbling from embrace
But still we chase the shadows of belief
And new religion clouds our visions of the roots of our souls
Are we ashamed of our own fate
Or play the fool for our own sake tell me who's behind the rain
What do we need where do we go
When we get where we don't know
Why should we doubt the virgin white of fallen snow
When faith's our shelter from the cold
What do we need where do we go
When we get where we don't know
Why should we doubt the virgin white of fallen snow
When faith's our shelter from the cold
Quicksand Jesus I'm so far away without you
Quicksand Jesus I'm so far away without you, oh oh
Quicksand Jesus I'm so far away
Quicksand Jesus I'm so far away
Quicksand Jesus I need you
Quicksand Jesus I believe you
Quicksand I'm so far away
Yeah, yeah, oh, oh

There will never be a decade of music that gets in your blood like 1980 to 1990....thank you...it was awesome
YEP, seenem live with GNR in 93' Sydney Aus. I was 19, FUKYEH
Do "I Remember You" next from Skid Row.
+1 for "I Remember You". My favorite Skid Row guitar solo of all time!
Im here to help :) At least "18 and life" pls :)
Skid Row is the reason I wish I had straight hair and probably why God made it curly.
Lynch Mob you might like also.
Scotti Hill and Dave Sabo, geniuses. Just like Mick Mars in Crüe.
I think you have covered the majority of Skid Row's more popular songs , There is one more you should probably do ? ( I Remember You ) , it's probably the song that made Skid Row one of the more popular bands in the 80's and 90's Metal scene ? I'd also 'Highly recommend' . . . . My favorite band from that era , TESLA ! ( Maybe start out with LOVE SONG , or WHAT YOU GIVE ) ? Love your videos , keep em' coming ! \m/ \m/
His voice is definitely incredible. A lot of people say he can’t sing like that anymore, but it’s complete bullshit. I just saw him on the 30th anniversary tour at the end of 2019 and I was blown away. He can still wail.
I'm glad you got to hear Skid Row's masterpiece 'Quicksand Jesus' . . . . I had no doubt you would love it ! \m/ \m/
This song still shivers me to this day. Solos, voice, perfect combination
Sebastian is her crush 🥰
You're completely right, their solos are amazing. Scotti Hill and Dave Sabo are both awesome and very underrated guitarists. I'd recommend reacting to "I remember you" and "Monkey Business" by Skid Row.
🤘🤘 awesome metal band Ever I've heard 🤘🤘🤘
Probably my favorite and most well written Skid Row song. It's about his struggle with his faith
Excellent taste
This song is off Slave to the Grind, which was released in June of 1991. The Skids went on tour and took Pantera as their opening band, on Pantera's first stadium tour in the US. They might have been part of the reason Pantera got to be so huge, as they put them in front of packed stadiums full of mainstream fans. Yes, I saw Baz's leather pants. What a babe. You should watch and react to Skid Row and Pantera singing Cold Gin together when they were on tour, since you and I are such fans of Phil and Baz. You could also watch Skid Row on Saturday Night Live singing Monkey Business and Piece of Me, both excellent live performances.
You are correct Vicky about pantera they went everywhere skid row went they came out before them at Wembley which was incredible but these songs are gonna be around for decades to come after us old guys are gone but all the songs they gave us are incredible while on stage these guys were great together even right up to the end bands like that don't come along but maybe once in your life and that's if you're lucky so everybody lets enjoy them while we can
This is 90s and my favourite song ever love singing it to
Till this day whenever I hear their songs I get lost
Te has dado cuenta de lo bien que canta?, lo dudo mucho cortando el vídeo como lo cortas........ hay muchas reacciones para ver, tuyas, nunca más
Skid row is my no1 band of all time😎
This band was my first concert May, 1990 Guam, USA. Great performance live.
Skid Row and QueensRyche were way underrated back in the day. I’m glad to see so many people listening to them again.
You have to listen to some QueensRyche, one more time around. Anybody listening song titles. You’ll be amazed as well. Any of it actually
essa musica e uma obra de arte
I can't believe you stopped the song to talk about a t-shirt!!!
No it's not 35 or 4o years ago....the album "Slave to the Grind" was
released on June 11, 1991. "Quicksand jesus" was released in 1992...
However it is awesome to see the younger audience appreciating the music of that time...🤟😎
Just read the lyrics and listen to the song without being dazzled by the visuals and you will understand the music ...🤔
У Себастьяна Баха невероятный голос, а то, как он ведёт себя на сцене...Настоящий рок-н-рольщик, хехе :)
I was born in 1971, so yes the rock and metal from the 80's and early 90's are my memories. Great times, at 13 I could order a beer in a bar, no one would asked you for an ID card :) You mentioned a few bands from that area, but no Van Halen? I believe those were very big in the USA at that time.
Van Halen of of the major bands for sure, I’m honestly know not that many songs from them, that’s why can’t put them in my personal top 5. I rather add Scorpions just because it was a band which introduced me into rock music and also well, I love them love love love Scorpions)
@Keith Johnson I'm Dutch and during the 80's it was 'normal' here, the same for cigarettes. If you buyed them at the age of 9 or 10, people thought that you were buying them for your parents (which was common these days). I skipped school whenever I liked, without visiting the head of the school, all stuff that kids nowadays can forget :)
@@IYOU oh I wouldn't hold it against you :) There is plenty of time to (re)discover bands, it is a never ending journey and a great one. I'm not complaining, I'd rather see a 'youngster' dive in this kind of music than a review of the latest single of some kind of pop diva. Not that there is something wrong with it, but it is not that interesting for me personally to watch. I hope I don't offend you with calling you 'youngster' but I have a daughter who is almost your age hahaha. Your choice for The Scorpions is good one, Klaus Meine is a great vocalist.
@Keith Johnson over here it is the same situation, and yes from the same political wing. We have elections in march next year, but expect that it wouldn't change a lot. Our mainstream media is infected with people from the same corner, Slowly but surely people are starting to lose more freedom. I know that things can't be turned around, but I'm only hoping that it ain't getting worser.
Skid Row - Wasted Time ^ ^
my favorite song
Skid Row is an excellent addition to your list of favorite bands. This might be my favorite song by them. They really do put poetry to music, the songwriters were amazing with these lyrics.
"She caught the melting sky
It burned but still the winter passes by and by"
The visual of a melting sky, and the contrast of it burning (hot) as winter (cold) passes by -- that's masterful writing right there.
Sebastian's voice adds so much depth and emotion to it, it really is just the perfect song. I'm so glad you reviewed it!
Skid Row had Pantera as opening act on tour concert in Fayetville,NC(Cumberland Couny Civic Arena) in '91.Also had Soundgarden as openers before that.Maybe do Soundgarden review off Badmotorfinger album-Rusty Cage or Slaves and Bulldozers?Just a suggestion.🤘
One of their best songs ever. Came out in 91 from Slave To The Grind. Sebastian was that singer that made you feel everything back then. Love that song and still do!
Those of us who watch feel the same. Sometimes the songs make us smile and other times laugh and other times cry. We love that music can do that to us. Music is an old friend of the ears and the heart and the soul. We love it when music comes by for a visit, and reminds us of things, people and events we’ve long forgotten. Music is Time Machine to our past, and a beautiful magic whose spells we all know well and whose vibrations of sound can heal, tame and pour love into the heart and soul.
David
Favorite bands top 5 -
1. Pantera
2. Skid Row
3. System of a Down
4. Alice In Chains
5. Anything Chris Cornell - solo artist, SoundGarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog
Well said, and I would wholeheartedly support a reaction video to something by Alice in Chains!
I totally agree about Alice in Chains , with Layne singer obviously , one of my favourite group in 90's and now too ... Album Facelift , Dirt and Alice in Chains i played thousand times and i know songs by heart and mind
Andrea Burgi when Layne died I cried like a baby. Nobody could sing the pain the way Layne could. Love “facelift”. But I have to say “dirt” is one of my all-time favorite albums. I only have one check box to be on my all-time favorite album list - Every song on the album has to be great. And “dirt” gets that checkmark ✅ in my opinion. Love that album for sure
@@GravelBone367Yes DIRT is one of the Best album of ever and for me as if Layne never died , in my mind he' s still alive , the memory still remains , every week i always listen some pieces of Facelift ( We die young , bleed the freaks ) , Dirt totally Eternal masterpiece every song and Alice in Chains ( Love/hate/ love ). Without to forget EP " Jar of flies " with the wonderfull timeless" Nutshell ".... Alice in Chains means a lot for me , also because in those years i lost a girlfriend because she passed away for hard drugs and she was a huge fan of AIC , so the memory is very intense. ua-cam.com/video/K2rU_5n0C4o/v-deo.html
Andrea Burgi Very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Losing people that we love is among some of the hardest experiences of this life. I’m guessing she was a lot like you are as a person. Be well.
You should just him sing cause you can't hit any of his notes he has the longest notes in history and the highest range out there
How about vocal reaction to Dangerous Toys? Boys in the 80s and early 90s had beautiful voices.
Not many bands get to have gifted guitar players who bring out the sound besides the vocalist.
Some of the greatest rock guitarists came from the 80's. Thanks Eddie for resetting the approach. C'mon haters , you know it is true. Skid Row was a great band. Not Hairmetal either , just great rockers with a great sound.
please try 🙏 💘
Bon Jovi - Never Say Goodbye
Bon Jovi - Living In Sin
Bon Jovi - This Ain't A Love Song
Bon Jovi - I'll Be There For You
Skid Row - I Remember You
Good afternoon my beautiful Russian friend.. ohman, such an awesome jam.. the vocals of Bach are a master piece. Love this song.. early 90's it was released.. slave to the grind is a great album. Love the hair, and your voice ...thanks for reacting my friend.. be safe out there.. love it... next some red hot chili peppers...
Sebastian Bach - By your side
nice song 👍
Excellent choice!
You are correct in saying this is not NEW. It's from their second album, "Slave to the Grind" which is the same album as "Wasted Time", "In a Darkened Room", etc, etc...released June 11, 1991 - FYI. Still one of my top favorite albums of all time, actually!
My beautiful Russian friend.. I don't think you ever reacted to guns n roses.. November rain. Estranged. And don't cry.. are a trilogy of a story. I can't remember the order of the songs.. I think don't cry. November rain. And estranged.. is the order .. there so many classics from gnr.
Tesla what you give. Red hot chili peppers. LA Guns., Warrant, Scorpions, motley Crue, .. there are so many great bands from the 80s dear..
I would love to do video to G&R, but I know all this songs, it used to be one of my favorite bands, and also I love Slash’s solo creations. .. the same situation with Scorpions/ I think I know every single song from them) Motley Crue or warrant maybe - don’t know them. Maybe you could tell me exactly a song? Thank you 🪐
@@IYOU warrant`s heaven, uncle Tom's cabin, down boys, I saw red, cherry pie, this song Janis lane hated. Janie has written songs for other bands along. Motley crue, has many classics. Dr. Feelgood was their biggest hit. .songs dr Feelgood, without you, kickstart my heart, dont go away mad.. teslas what you give from the album psychotic supper..is my favorite ballad... Firehouse love of a lifetime is an awesome ballad... so many good music. Have you heard red hot chili peppers.. great band
"Estranged" and " " its so easy 'by GNR are awesome to react and not overheard, "wild side " by Motley Crue another great crazy song to react, and i would like ' when the smoke is going down " by Scorpions
Rachel Bolan(Skid Row bass guitarist) Interview on May 24, 2011.
The question asked was ; "Is Quicksand Jesus about religious tension or bouts with faith?"
Bolan answered: "You pretty much hit the nail on the head. I grew up in a Catholic family and so did Snake(Dave Sabo: guitarist). You know that good old fashioned Catholic guilt. It’s just about keeping your beliefs during good times and bad times. It’s so easy to not be spiritual when things are going really good and then when they go bad you start relying on whatever god you pray to to get you out of it. It’s kind of saying that whatever it is you believe in, you should probably put in 100% all the time. We started writing it and war broke out in the middle east. The lyrics just started pouring out but we did not have a title for it.
Snake and I used to do a lot of dirt bike riding and we knew we wanted “Jesus” in the title but we could never really settle on anything. There was a busted Jesus in Snakes mom’s flower garden. The garden was there right before we took off to go riding on the trail and every time it rained the Jesus sank. We called it “Quicksand Jesus” and what we would do is touch it for luck and then we would take off. If someone would wreck we’d say, “You forgot to touch Quicksand Jesus didn’t you?” One day, we just looked at each other and said, “That’s it! That’s the song title!” That song was a labor of love. Snake and I never had such a tug of war on certain parts and elements of songs as much as we did with that one. That one took us a long time to write. It’s cool that’s your favorite song because that’s my favorite Skid Row song that we ever did. I’m proud of it and I’m so glad we still do that one."
And this is a song you will never forget pretty baby
Yessss , you have one of the most beautyfull songs of Skid Row with unforgettable lyrics very impressed in my mind like " Are we saved by the words of bastard saints " and " Why should we doubt the virgin white of fallen snow " 🖤 ...S. Bach so cute pretty guy, with awesome high level voice , at the point that also very good solos guitars came later after him , that s the reason why ! Anyway i swear i wish you had been here ( Pink Floyd 😉) with us in 80's and 90's because it was really a great time that i remember as teenager and i thank God for this , but almost is good for you that you're younger now ...and so let's relive toghether that glorious time on this channel with masterpiece like that ...i need you ...i believe you ...im so far awayyyyyy 🤟🖤
I feel that you are rights about 80'... but also I think that it could be association of your youth, and everyone in the world loves youth and all this years when life with adventures, no routine, first love, romances, something like fresh air....butterflies in tummy)... 90th in Russia - honestly was a horrible time, 80th I don't really remember, but also feel attached to the music from that decade. this song really has something special, now I have it my very important and favorite playlist, and I'm picky)))) xoxo
@@IYOU yes i was born in 1973 so 80's my teenage and 90's my twenty aged, and i remember well for all the things you said but also because , as you can see in videos, music group tendencies and everything was wonderfull and stimolated , the first Wave British Heavy Metal ( iron maiden motorhead) the first trash metal ( metallica megadeth slayer) glamour metal in L.A. ( motley crue) , then Grunge Movements in 90's , Pantera 🖤...all of this i have seen and lived during it happened and i think makes me young forever, feel lucky for that! Yes i remember those years in Urss , CSI and Russia after with Comunism, Boris Eltsin and crazy politicians and social mess , i m sorry was not very funny for you that time but now you can mind and relive only the good things of the past with us ! You are going to add many beautyfull songs like this , you will see 😉
Dave Sabo and Rachel Bolan wrote this song about the Gulf War. It’s called Quicksand Jesus because the war took place in the dessert. Sabo said in an interview that it was the most difficult song he wrote. You should react to Monkey Business by Skid Row. It’s a great rock song. You should also react to Guns N Roses. Welcome to the Jungle would be a good place to start.
Thank you! I think reaction to Guns n Roses suppose to be unique, but I well know this band and all songs which were suggested so far - I know them. ☮️
You are the first person talk about the great scotti hill and the great lead guitars based on jimi hendrix style, he and bach was the soul of this band
Yeah, women loved Skid Row.
Please try Slaughter fly to the angels. You will love it , can’t wait to see your reaction 💜
The unplugged version is insane!
I saw someone make the comment slaughter fly to the angels, great song and amazing vocals.
Eargasm is the word you were looking for 🤣🤣
Skid Row - Monkey Business
It was released in 1991
You should also review “I’ll Never Let You Go” by Steelheart.
I’ve done this reaction already!!!
I lived during the 70s and 80s music.
Being a teen in the 80s simply put, was MAGICAL! It was just an awesome time to be young !
I’m glad you liked this one. I love it, and still listen to it today!
Crazy by Circus of Power would be cool
You have such a lovely voice Speaking and singing
Hey cutiepie...this came out in 1991 from the "Slave to the Grind" CD...Skid Row came out in 1989 with their self titled CD..which did sell pretty well for them..thats got "18& Life" ."Youth Gone Wild" pn that CD
Okay I love ❤️ you lol, your gorgeous, the perfect Rock n Roll girl, that was my era, I have ticket to see Sebastian Bach in Bristol, Tennessee June 25, 2021, Love ❤️ Jesus✝️
@IYOU You are the youngest girl who managed to explain in a few words this nostalgic feeling, of seeing something from an incredible musical and youthful past, especially in terms of artistic experiences, with the desire to have lived it.
It really is very clear how much you admire this era and how many incredible things were produced during it.
It means when you are in deep shit and fucked up royal, you pray. Like you are in quicksand. BTW quicksand is real.
а еще я знаю чего тебе точно еще не рекомендовали - Lake of tears - So fell autumn rain, невероятно красивая песня, сделай реакцию, обязательно lyric video
You sound like a pretty good singer yourself like your reactions keep it up
As a consumer of reaction videos, I feel you really need to work on the audio of the media you are reviewing. Too many competitors out there with much better sound.
This song is about the people who gets lost in a big city...and they got nowhere to Go....🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥
LOL there is 2 versions of this C,D. Because target
\and Walmart would not allow this song
im so far waaaaaaa! * imitation guitar * XDDDD at 8:29) oh, if Sebastian Bach had made a reaction to this reaction.)))))
Essa música é maravilhosa assim como a sua boca. É minha canção favorita do skid row. Surreal!
Your shoulders are perfect YOU don't need shoulder pads! YOU Rock! 💥
“Let’s listen to his leather pants again” 😂😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The t-shirt thing is typical. It had sleeves at one point, and then got scissored off. Half my gym tshirts started as concert tees.
Bach wasn't born.. he was engineered in a rock front man factory that blew up after creating him.
you have to check out their song "18 & life" i think its more popular than this and my personal favorite
check out TORA TORA walkin shoes and phantom rider
you stop it at the best part - you don't get it
It’s great to see you react to the music i have watched unfold over the years. You should react to some ZZ Top...Legs
And, guns and roses!!!?🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Always was one of my favorite Skid Row songs. Nice reaction

@@kellyparker8879 that woulda been awesome ;)
its about a statue in one of their gandmas house
I like reaction videos from knowledgeable reactors. But not yours. Listening to you warble over the vocals and commenting on fashion choices with about a millimeter's worth of depth and analysis? No thanks.
🤣
God you are so beautiful....wow
Queensryche Silent Lucidity
Skid Row the best, i love you👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍exciting, my heart. ..oh my Jesus
Will you marry me?
You look like an actress. Most people assume I'm a model. Can you imagine what it would be like if we actually met?

Without a doubt Sebastian is one of the best voices of metal and this song is proof of that. Changing the subject, I recommend a poison theme called something to believe in also a group of 80's hope it is to your liking...... Best regards
You , wine and this song .
MOTLEY CRUE!!! #Crue4Life
We had the best fashion and music in the late 80s and early 90s. I still have hair as long as Sabastions and I'm 59. Still catnip to the ladies too. 😂😂🤟🤟
My favorite band... I played drums on a Skid Row Tribute when I was 15 years old until my 20 years old hehe, now I'm 28
ultra instinct theme
He is a best singer for me!!! All time, and Im happy, because im not alone....
Slaughter To Prevail- Demolisher there a band from Russia! Lead singer Alex Terrible is awesome 👌
This is one of the best songs ever. Your English is improving! Keep up the good work. I hope to visit Moscow some day!
