Bach was absolutely one of the greatest, most powerful, cleanest sounding vocalists in his prime. This whole album is awesome. It's just got balls for days!🤘
'In a Darkened Room' is the third phenomenal ballad off that album. It's a little more understated than the others, but is still a gorgeous tune. And Scotti Hill's solos are the most underappreciated aspect of Skid Row. He's one of the few guys who can rip your face off and your heart out at the same time.
Skid row solos🔥👍 ..that one of reasons i started playing guitar ....put you out of pace ....or close to edge of falling out of rythm like G-force in rollercoster effect ....crazy ...both guitarist, basist , drummer ''breathe''...its all for 10+✔
in the 80s we metal heads WORSHIPED our music and it brings a tear to my eye to see the younger generation enjoying it now so many years later,......CHEERS!
This album (Slave To The Grind) was the first heavy metal album to debut at number 1 on the charts. Every song is a banger. Definitely do Slave To The Grind (the title song!) to get a sense of their heaviness. Kerry King from Slayer said that Sebastian Bach has one of the best screams in metal....he ain't wrong!
I saw Sebastian (as a solo artist) in concert opening for Pantera and Anthrax around 1997. He was amazing live. Skid Row unfairly got lumped in with hair bands when they had some pretty hard music like "Beat Yourself Blind" "Slave to the Grind" "Subhuman Race" "Bonehead" or "My Enemy" as well as songs with though provoking lyrics (like the ones that you reacted to)
That's a fun counterpoint to when I saw Pantera open for Skid Row. One of the best concerts I ever attended, marred only by the whiplash I got when some guy got tossed onto the back of my head mid-concert. We were in the seats, not anywhere near the pit.
Along with Wasted Time, Sebastian's performance on this song is truly a vocal master class. Both were standouts from the album Slave to the Grind. Glad you guys enjoyed it too.
18 and life is such an emotional song. I remember You, In A Darkened Room, Youth Gone Wild, Monkey Business and Slave to the Grind are also great songs.
Remenber when Slave to The Grind came out. Phenomenal. Went straight to #1 Billboard charts. This songs rises and keeps on rising with such an epic control on everything.
I hoped you'd get to this one, I just didn't think it be so soon. This made my day!! Try In a Darkened Room and I Remember You. Two more beautiful tunes. You guys are awesome!
Slave to the Grind (the album) was Skid Row at its prime! Everyone in the band was on point and on fire. You can hear it in every track! You can do a reaction for the entire album (including bonus and alternate tracks!) It will not disappoint and I will watch, like, and comment every single one you do!! Thanks for this!
One of the best reactions I've seen to Quicksand Jesus on UA-cam, you both showed a lot of surprise, emotion, and excitement with Sebastian's voice, the ever so changing song tempo parts, the awesome guitar notes, solos, and thundering power chords, the hard hitting drums, and ever so spot on bass guitar. After hearing this song, 18 and life, Wasted time, and so many other Skid Row songs after 34 years the hair still stands up on my arms and the back of my neck every time that I hear them!
Wow!! 😱😱😱 aquí una vez mas escuchando a mí cantante favorito , grande , maestro , genio , leyenda , pionero , inigualable , bello , hermoso , una voz que solo tienen los ángeles ❤❤❤❤ para mi Seba
Seen them in concert back in the late 80s and early 90s in Phoenix. Incredible voice and just love their music! Feel very fortunate to have seen them live back in the heyday of that type of music.
One of the best vocalist of that era period. I saw him back in 2013 with his solo band. He still sings Skid Row songs, and still has the killer vocals.
Sebastian baby, those vocals are the greatest. Great band you guys gotta listen to In a darkened room by Skid Row my fav. U guys are awesome subscribing 🧡
You guys are just now scratching the surface. There are some truly deep cuts from these guys that will probably surprise you. For example a bad ass cover of Jimi Hendrix, little wing. They are a rock ‘n’ roll band with some heavy duty Metal tunes as well. Monkey business, slave to the grind, youth gone wild, piece of me, Mud kicker, riot act, just to name a few. And They have three more ballads that are bad ass fire - I remember you, in a darkened room and they’re first major hit, 18 and life. Enjoy.
This album Slave To The Grind is up there with Badmotorfinger by Soundgarden. Both these albums came out same year in 1991. These two vocalists Sebastian Bach and Chris Cornell in their absolute prime on these albums. The untouchable 90's so much amazing music it's unreal! \m/
I met them when I was playing at a club, I was 15, he was only 22 and like 6ft3 you know you play he blew it out , his voice them got some back. Skid Row would not be known without him
Thanks for doing this. You just threw me back to seeing this tour live. We were all in tears because of the performance. It’s really cool to see your guys his reaction to something like this
Such an amazing song. I'd forgot how good the bass and guitar are in this one. I've always known he's an amazing singer every since they first came on the scene in the 80s.
Way back in the day I used to sing for a local band trying to make it. I thought i was ok (not great but didnt suck). Then i heard Sebastian's voice. amd I was like ok I quit theyre aint no way i could even scrape his shoes with my voice. He was both an inspiration and a reality check all rolled into tone..lol
ONE OF THE GREATS OF THE LATE 80S AND 90S TO BAD THEY FIRED HIM SKID ROW HAS NOT BEEN THE SAME SINCE HE IS A GEAT GUY MET HIM AT OUR UNCLE SAM JAM IN WOOD HAVEN MI BE FORE COVID HIT TALKED TILL 3 IN THE MORNING AFTER HIS SHOW STILL SOUNDED GREAT DID NOT DO ANY OF THIS ALBUM ONLY THE EARLY STUFF BUT KILLED IT ON STAGE !!!!.
you should react to their first success, the one that put Sebastian's vocals on the map: 18 and life. powerful song with great story telling and vocals out of this world.
Sebastian Bach is without a doubt one of the best vocalists of all time. You want to hear something that hits so hard, check out Skid Row's Slave to the grind and Monkey Business. I know every word of every song on their album, Slave to the Grind. It is a masterpiece.
Dave is the guitar player he grew up next door to Jon Bonjovi ( Bon Jovi ) they made a pact who made it first w would take the other on tour. I only know that because my went to school with Matt Bonjovi and knew th their mom etc
"Slave To The Grind" is a metal masterpiece! When I traded my POS car in 1997, I literally removed this CD from the in-dash CD player (installed in early 1993) with needle-nose pliers. I left the player...
Sebastian effing Bach. Thirty years later, that last note still gives me chills.
Hail yeah...🤘🤘
Bach was absolutely one of the greatest, most powerful, cleanest sounding vocalists in his prime. This whole album is awesome. It's just got balls for days!🤘
Goef Tate Hold my range
You mean DECADES, if not CENTURIES...
1st metal album to debut at #1 on billboard charts.
I can't get enough of slow hard loud metal, rock on!😅
When drummer Rob affuso and vocalist Sebastian Bach left the band it was never the same.
they play Ska Reggae in a horrible versión call "I Remember Two" the new Skid Row is a shit
Right on bro, Scotti Hill's solo's are works of art. The skid's are one of my favs. Cheerz from Oz. \m/
And it has sort of decent lyrics as well. ;-)
Skid row solos🔥👍 ..that one of reasons i started playing guitar ....put you out of pace ....or close to edge of falling out of rythm like G-force in rollercoster effect ....crazy ...both guitarist, basist , drummer ''breathe''...its all for 10+✔
“Can rip your face off and your heart out at the same time”
That is an incredible description! ❤️🤘
No joke , best efffing band of that era! They will PUT DROP YOU THEN GRAB YOU BY THE COLLAR AND RIP YOU TO YOUR FEET FROM THE EMOTION AND MELODIES
Slave to the grind is one of their best ass kicking tracks...
Also "Beat Yourself Blind", "Subhuman Race", "Bonehead", or "My Enemy" for the heavier side
One of the best Heavy Metal records of all time! it has it all!
in the 80s we metal heads WORSHIPED our music and it brings a tear to my eye to see the younger generation enjoying it now so many years later,......CHEERS!

Actually, no. It was Quiet Riot's Metal health
@@jvidalw wrong. Metal Health was the first to hit number 1, not debut at #1
@@MrPetcoBoulevardit was the first but this is the first album to debut at 1#
@@Bryan-wu1ss thats what i said
Probably one of the best singers in terms of being able to seamlessly switch between clear tone and distortion in his voice.
Sebastian and Layne Staley are my favorite singers. Both put so much passion and emotion into every lyric. They also both had great voice control.
@@texthit don’t forget about Miljinko from Steelheart
Sebastian was classically
Trained🤯 his voice still gives me goosebumps

My first concert as a kid was Bon Jovi and Skid Row opened. Such a great time....
New Jerseys Finest.
My second was skid row with Pantera opening. It was on Easter Sunday and I somehow convinced my catholic mom to take me.
Same here. Nothing like the 80s-early 90s rock!
I saw that tour, Skid Row blew Bon Jovi away
1990 Aerosmith with Skid Row.
Along with Wasted Time, Sebastian's performance on this song is truly a vocal master class. Both were standouts from the album Slave to the Grind. Glad you guys enjoyed it too.
Slave To The Grind, just to switch it up a bit.
NO ONE had pipes like Sebastian back then!!!
GEOFF TATE of Queensryche
Skid Row with Sebastian Bach...aaahh miss the good old days. Their first two albums are amazing. Another great song is "In A Darkened Room".
Gotta do monkey business by skid row. Kick ass riff!
Taken from paradise city! In my opinion.
Do the whole fucking album! Seriously! \m/
18 and life is such an emotional song. I remember You, In A Darkened Room, Youth Gone Wild, Monkey Business and Slave to the Grind are also great songs.
Sebastian Bach was/is hands down one of the best voices in his genre
I saw them twice in the early 90s and he blew the roof off of the place both times. That voice has no studio trick.
What's amazing is how much of his voice is still there to this day.
I love this whole fucking album! It's been in my library since the beginning. Sebastian is so good. The title track, Slave to the Grind, kicks ass!
Remenber when Slave to The Grind came out. Phenomenal. Went straight to #1 Billboard charts. This songs rises and keeps on rising with such an epic control on everything.

Also GREAT, GREAT songwriters: Snake Sabo (Guitar) and Rachel Bolan (Bass). You should check out Psycho Love and Monkey Business
Man, I just love her facial reactions!

His Octaves were off the charts….saw them open for Van Halen, what a show!
Imagine being in a studio and singing like this. Just..wow.
ive seen the worlds best for 40 years and Bach live when the opened for pantera, was stunning.. insane good, better than on wax
Probably "I Remember You" is a next step.
For the High Note of the 90's
I remember you is from the 80s...
Awesome reaction guys my 5th time seeing it
Great reaction.
Yeah. Skid row rock. There's 2 excellent guitarists and a bass player, and drummer and singer ofcourse. 🤟♥️🤟♥️.

Getting to see these bands live in the 80s, in their prime, was quite the experience !
In my opinion, this song has one of the top metal vocals (or just vocals in general) performances of all time
That whole record was amazing... This song sabastian just kills it.
My favorite is "In a darkened room" From them...
Thanks guys for your review! Sab and the boys were legends,
Sebastian's voice was second to none back in those 80's, man. I recommend 18 and Life, Youth Gone Wild and I remember You! /m\
Yea one of the best voice in hard rock, love this band good one guys❤️🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
Slave To The Grind and Youth Gone Wild!!🙌🤟🥰
Skid Row is not Skid Row WITHOUT Sebastian Bach there I said it
This album Slave To The Grind is up there with Badmotorfinger by Soundgarden. Both these albums came out same year in 1991. These two vocalists Sebastian Bach and Chris Cornell in their absolute prime on these albums. The untouchable 90's so much amazing music it's unreal! \m/
Sebastian Bach is simply unbelievable. Can't have Skidrow without Bach
This song has always been a fave ...
Best song ever made
the most powerful voice in all of rock.
Piece of Me by Skid Row , Banger!
This is one of my favorite songs of theirs, Bach is such a beast of a singer on this.
You're reacting to a song/ video that I went through live and young is great! I'm 49 now you do the math. Thank you.
Remembering One of the Best Concerts of my life . In Philly Pantera opening Band.. Skid Row Headlined .It was a Amazing Night 😁
Mr. Sebastian Bach , The best voice in the history of the rock.

This came out when I was in grade 3 and is still one of my favorite. There'll never be another sebastian bach
At his prime , no one touches Bach.
@@randalwoodburn8247 Agreed! All three are outstanding, Steve Perry being one of my absolute favorites.
Let me echo that, absolutely no one can touch Sebastian Bach in his prime. Master class every single time
Yea goosebumps evertime
Great to wake up in Codicote Hertfordshire England to this.Goosebumpy guys. Should be ok to have our music festival in August now.
Sebastian Bach ladies and gentlemen
