Holy cr*p man. If anyone says "oh he just threw money at it." Slap them! This is one of the most thought out builds i have seen on YT. Regardless of style (overland, prerunner, mall crawl, all the others) you can tell when someone has taken the time to understand how they want their rig to perform. And you nailed it man. 👏 awesome!
Thank you so much, Dylan!! Wow I really appreciate this insight. I tried my best to really understand how my truck functions and how that functionality would change (improve) with the mods that I put on. I really want to dial this thing in to perform as best as it can because I want to push it hard, and be safe and make sure nothing is going to break on me. I can talk all day about my truck and the work that goes into it, and even some improvements that I would do differently or some that I would double down on. Cheers! Thanks for watching
Glad this could help! As always all the info is available on my gear project link in my linktree that you can reference back to in the future! If you like anything on my build, please consider purchasing them through @runnin4tacos and using my discount! They’ve got almost everything I have available!
Thank you! Yeah, I really love how I’ve built it so far. I have everything out there and with all the links on where to get them as well, so when you’re ready you know where to go get them!
Thank you for talking about your sponsorships and budgeting for stuff you actually want to purchase for yourself, cutting through the influencer bullshit. A lot of people forget that people work hard to make money to pay for stuff they want.
yes thats my entire goal here. nothing is a secret, transparency is key for stuff like this. its better for everyone when were transparent so it helps people budget out! and for me, I have a personal incentive to only push the stuff i would buy because its just dishonest if im pushing products that are shit lol
I know plenty of Gen 2 guys who run total chaos and absolutely rave about them. They’ve got the pedigree especially with Toyotas and put them to the test! I’m excited to see what they come out with their LT kit
Nice build bro! Those CV angles look kinda gnarly, do you plan on getting extended axels? Im nervous to lift my front end anymore because I don't want my CVs to bind on the trail. Have you came across any issues running them like that?
Thank you! And you know, since I have the kings with the adjuster I can really dial in how much “sway” I have in the street. With it set to max stiffness, it definitely handles better but still feels more sway than with the sway bar in. Max soft on the adjusters just feels stupid haha you feel like you’re driving a boat. You need to get used to it. I daily drive on max stiffness and it feels good, still feels pretty planted. Max soft is a game changer off road though, I literally don’t feel anything sometimes because the suspension just soaks up everything. I always recommend people at least try it without it’s only 8 bolts holding it in, if you don’t like it it’s super easy to bolt right back up 👍🏽
Beautiful build! I noticed you didn’t upgrade to the red axles. Is it because you don’t do much 4 wheel stuff? I want to do a 3 inch lift was told need upgrade to the red axle trd axles or they may pop out?
Thanks man! Right now it’s at 24,500 and still pushing strong! All of the small rattling issues I’ve managed to fix on my own and the suspension is still out here getting used! And yes I always knew MGM was gonna be a sick color with this new body style!
Sick build…..suggestion, would to be to get rid of the TRD 4x4 sticker. It’s no longer TRD (so much more) 😊 and everyone knows it’s 4x4. I think it will look cleaner. Just a thought
New subscriber here. I am thinking of upgrading my 2014 Tundra to 2022 as well. Just wanted to ask which is better, sport or off road trim? Or that all depends on what you are using trick for? Is there a big difference price wise between sport and off road?
Yes, solely depends what you intend to use the truck for. No sense in getting the TRD off road when you’re not gonna use anything you bought it for! You just gotta be real with yourself and know what you’re gonna put it through. The tundra is way too big IMHO for any sort of rock crawling where the locker would really make a difference. That’s not the kind of off roading I enjoy anyway, I want to be able to blast through the desert in 2WD
@@fullmag_tundra I think when the warranty goes out for my tundra I might go the lsk route and swap in a full floater in the back cuz I hate the oem lower shock mounts they really are kick in the balls 😂
@@mayanj1416 dude if you’re annoyed with that, check out the passenger side rear upper link lol. Goes straight through the gas tank 💀💀 so tbh I’m not sure how we’d get more rear travel… the upper links would have to get relocated at a minimum.
@@fullmag_tundra The 32 gal long boy definitely gotta go and swap to a fuel cell behind the rear axle 😂 I see a lot of potential in the 3rd gen can’t wait to see em linked and floating in the desert
I am sponsored by Alpharex and they installed them for me! If you need headlights installed, check out Joseph at Bajarexmotorsports in Orange, CA. They are my go to shop.
The one ting you forgot to mention, was the automimic air dam with the ne bumper mod?. Could that nod void the warrant? Or did your mechanics inform you about that? However, looks cool!
@@fullmag_tundra yeah I plan to make mine a prerunner vs overlander, trynna be like you big dog! If your stock axles can handle the 3inch lift with the way you take jumps, I’m just going to full send it and get Kings!
Definitely not done yet, R.I.P. to your wallet when a long travel suspension kit comes. But definitely hype to see this grow , I’m personally tired of carbon copy overland mall crawler builds , sorry but not sorry 😂
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road? We're the pro auto lighting company for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
Hahah that desert life bro, when you’re moving like 60mph+ lots of small rocks and stuff kick up inside your wheel well. I hear them banging around there all the time

Thank you!
Insane tundra definitely one of my favorite one congrats dude

Hella good looking tundra truck! Awesome video! Love it!
That's a good looking truck! It makes me want to take the wrap off and go back to MGM!
Thank you! You’ve got an awesome build yourself.
Hell yeah dude, great truck and video.
Sickk truck man. Definitely one of the cleanest new tundra out there.
Thank you! I really appreciate it I love where it’s at right now and will continue to keep building!
Coming from someone who had total chaos LT on a Tacoma I can tell you they are definitely budget parts and there are so many better options

Oh yeah man. I take it out as much as I can. 30k miles in and I am enjoying every bit of it
Nice edit and....that truck
Yesssirrr!!! Thanks for watching homie! 🤟🏽
So I can get a TRD premium off road and build it up myself and be pimped interior. Sounds kinda good.
Great looking truck. How high is the top of the cab? I have to park in a garage, so I am limited on my height.
Why u sit soo close to the steering wheel? 5:18

How did you deal with the front automatic “spoiler” air dam under the front bumper?
Thoughts on hydraulic bump stops?
Definitely something I need to do! But just another part on the laundry list :)
Are the axles strapped?
Nobody makes limit strap mounts for the truck yet, I’d need to get them custom fabricated 👍🏽

Is this the mid/high bull bar or low? This truck is the only example on their website
This is the mid-height bull bar option!
Very nice build , question: how much noise on the high way (pebbles , wind etc) without the fender liner ?
Thank you! And honestly none at all, I think the MT don’t really catch a lot of pebbles so they just get ejected right away.
Pretty bad ass .
The one ting you forgot to mention, was the automimic air dam with the ne bumper mod?. Could that nod void the warrant? Or did your mechanics inform you about that? However, looks cool!
What steps are those?
Do you have a diff drop? I hear us SR5 guys need to get the red off road or silver extended cv axles
no diff drop, I dont go crawling in this thing and am not really in 4LO all that much.

what is your offset
0mm offset
Nice setup but trucks are now super expensive

Lockers help in the sand
so does having 4WD vs. 2WD
