Thank you guys for showing what the 33s will look like on the 3rd gens. For people who don't want to necessarily dish out the cash for a lift or level kit, 33s seem to be the alternative. The problem I have found is nobody is really running 33s because all the off-road influencers are stuffing the biggest set of tires they can under these trucks. They look great with huge tires, but not everybody has access or ability to run huge setups so again thanks for showing the 33s can look good as well.
Glad we could help cover this topic!
Also not to mention your fuel economy being cut in half by running bigger tires. Majority of us are normal joes who are not sponsored and your wallet will thank you for it
285/70/17 isn't a true 33 inch tire its actually 32.8 inches. I went with a 275/70/18 tire that is equal to 33.2 inches, with 18x9 +18 method wheels and it doesn't rub at all on stock height on my 2023 tundra.
I have 275/65r20 on my factory platinum wheels for winters. So 34”. Zero rub on the uca or on full lock.
I got my setup on my truck done. Went with 285/70/17 tires coupled with 17" wheels and 0 offset, which gives me a 1" poke all way around. I love the way this offset looks on my stock ride height and when I switch to a level kit and 35's in the future its going to look even better!
Make a video showing how 35’s fit on a TRD 4x4 off road limited with the TRD lift from factory..
Just bought mine
Love this dude's sense of humor. Don't usually laugh at tire fitment videos.
I didn't think I was funny, so thanks lol
35’s look amazing
35's with 0 offset looks perfect💯✔️ Level that Tundra and you're set.
Great video. I went 33's with a +25 offset and it looks great, drives great and smooth as factory. If you are not wanting to lift or level, this is the way to go. Thank you!
Thanks!
Crazy to think I used to run 33s and looking back they definitely look small compared to the 37s I run on my truck now. Since then I gave my truck a make over with a DK long travel kit with fiberglass all around.
absolute great video guys
Thanks!
some tool box ideas for my 1794 tundra , picking it up Friday cant wait
295/60R"x" + RC 3.5 inch lift = Perfect!
I have 295/60 on my 2023 Tundra with a 2" lift.
No rubbing
35 are a must
Hey what’s up! I drive the new Tundra with the V6 twin turbo. Thinking of upgrading to 285/70/18 or 295/70/18 tires on stock 18” wheels (TRD off road 4x4). Would like to see stock wheels with hubcentric spacers different widths (1”, 1.5”, 2”). Then finally new wheel choices. Stock suspension for now. Also bolt on mufflers for smooth sound and better mileage/power. Underbody armor (bolt-on scrape plates). Etc, etc. Thanks! 😃
I have a few questions, I upgraded to 34’s from the stock tires. Have you noticed a difference in performance and braking? I didn’t noticed too much difference after the tires and icon suspension lift
33s look good to me. Nice video buddy. 👊🏼
Thanks!
Just got my new 24' TRD double cab 4x4. Love the truck fo far but one thing I couldn't belive they didn't have was tow loops in the front? What the heck? Wold love to see an install video of how to add them. Also, a video of how to add the airbag system for better towing.
As for seat belt, last week I place a package that weighed as much as a small person, the damn seatbelt alert wouldn’t stop, I had to pull over and pull the back seat up to place the package in the rear area.
Looks dope ‼️
Thanks!
How does the 35’s affect your MPH (not MPG)? Thanks for the video?
I just need help I have stock 20 inch rims and I want to put some all terrains tires on with no lift kit . What would be a good size tire that would not rub thanks
I was interested in the ADD Stealth bumper.
Any ideas for a 2023 Tundra Limited lowering kit
Will those tires you tried on this video cause any rubbing on 2024 tundra pro stock wheels?
Can you create a video showing how to wire the light bar to be triggered with the high beams
Would like to see some videos on 3rd gen with the load leveling rear suspension if possible! Great video!
I also have been curious how much space was left between break pad and wheel with the 17s
just came across your channel looking at stuff for my new 3rd gen. Liked and subscribed. Can you go over the same tire fitment on a 3rd gen with the TRD lift sometime?
Eventually this Tundra will get that kit installed and we can make a video on that.
Do Bummber upgrades - and backup lights
Liked and subscribed, thank you for making this. What trim was the tundra?
Thanks for the support! This is a SR5 Tundra
Can you guys try running 35s with a -10 offset, I have 33s on my 24 Tundra with 17x8.5 -10 offset and I’d love to see if it’ll fit with the Fabtech level you put on in the other video since that’s what I’m considering on running.
I have a 2016 Tundra. I would like to fit 37's with minimum lift. Need to keep the tailgate as low as possible but have good offroad ability and comfort on my 80% plus highway driving. OK with fiberglass fenders but want to know the best suspension to "improve" on the suspension or what combination it takes.
It would be good to see Lifting the tundra, difference between 3 in, 6 in and more
Is there a way to calibrate the speedometer after changing tire sizes for the 3rd gen tundras?
ive been trying to do a front camera install idk how
The TRD grill is cool
It's a good look
3rd gen Limited. Id love to see how easy it would be to add powered running boards when I am told the wiring harness does not support it. I initially had a platinum with the powered running boards. Changed to the limited and was told I couldn't use my powered running boards because there is no support in the wiring harness.
good vid...thanks for the comparison. when my stock tires are due for replacement, thinking of Geolanders for the '23 tundra. Or the Coopers equivalent. which would you do?
I don't think you'll go wrong with either one but I don't have personal experience with the Coopers.
Rough country front levelling kit,
Aftermarket fender flares
If my 1794 has a TRD off road package will the 35s fit with no lift/level kit or will there still be some rubbing?
That’s a nice truck. The owner must be really cool
Meh
About to put 315 70 R18s on my 2023 Tundra but I have a RC 1.75” kit in the front and a cornfed 1” spacer in the rear with SCS F5s with +12 offset. We’ll see what happens! 😂
What would you recommend doing to fit 35" tires correctly? Would spacers on both front and back to lift the truck to keep the forward rake work? 2" spacers?
Just got a 2024 TRD and I want to slap a camper shell on and offset tires not sure where to shop at
Thanks
Hope this was helpful for you!
How about a video on adding front tow hooks without spending a fortune.
What’s the biggest that fit the factory installed lift?
have you get any steering vibration on any certain speed with that 35 tire? also how many mileage it reduce compared to stock tire?
Great video. What are the specs on those tires? Contemplating an upgrade soon myself. Torn between 285/60/r20 or 275/60/r20 on my ‘24 Tundra Limited Off-road. Thanks!
285/70/17 and 315/70/17
Looks so much better with just a set of wheels and tires! Just add a Westcott collar lift in the front and she's golden!
We're about to do some testing on different leveling kits to see what's best.
On a Tundra stock suspension, 33s are the absolute best option for wheel travel!!!
2024 Tundra 1794 Edition with the TRD Off-road package. Lift is only 1 inch, don't understand why it doesn't have the 3. Plan is to get it lifted to 3 and put some 35 tires on it.
From your road video is the first time I seen the air deflector deployed
A lot of people probably don't even know if they have that or not lol
@@yotaxpedition I wonder if my 1794 with trd has one
You’re working with 17 in wheels and barely get by. Do you think the stock 18 in is going to fit?
I’ve got a 2023 Trd Pro. A lot of comments out there but what can be ran on that running stock setup and wheels? I’ve seen some 35” installs. Any input would be much appreciated
Following.. Have the same setup with fox suspension. Looking at 305/70/18 or 295/70/18 on stock TRD Rims.
Nice video. I like the bronze 35’s
I have a mag grey 2nd gen with 315/70/17’s on TE37’s +25 on a 1.5 middle setting 5100. Still has a bit of rake. Something I wanted. Cheers
Sounds like a nice truck!
@@yotaxpedition Aside from the gas consumption and a power steering rack failure. It has been excellent vehicle. 2012 with 120 k miles. 🙌
So with the stock 20 inch TRD wheels, will 33x12.5 rub since it may not poke out as much as the aftermarket wheels you used?
What’s the best size 33s? For the TRD 20” rim (No lift) 2024
Hi, thanks for your video! I'm still trying to decide what to do with my 2022. Was that a wheel spacer (the thing that fell when putting the new rim/tire on) that was installed on the front wheel, or does that piece just center the wheel? Thanks! The other thing that I've seen on other another site is that there is a stock threaded place to pin back the carpet with a bolt. You might check that out.
No wheel spacers. That was a hub centric ring.
Awesome, thanks for the info!!!

Is it possible to switch instrument cluster
I have a 22 Limited Tundra and the lighting inside is terrible. I want to add OEM ambient lighti ng. Yall should do a diy vid for that. Keep up the good work
Do you know if the 33s will fit the TRD Sport?
Got inspired on your video. I have tundra limited 2022. Planning to upgrade tires to 35” for aggressive look. Will 1.75” leveling kit work on it without any rubbing issues?? Thanks
We installed a leveling kit on the Tundra in this video. We still rubbed a little. But it really depends on your wheel specs.
@@yotaxpeditionhow about factory wheels? Really wanting to do 35x12.5r20 on mine but have Avs and limited options…do I need 2 or 3” kit to fit 35’s?
Taking delivery of a 3rd gen Tundra this week. Sounds like 33s are the answer
Great video. An idea for your lift if it's always a pain. Flip it 180⁰ and back in. Unless you suck at backing up, it's much easier to get into tight spots. 😂
Hopefully the lift will be in a new building soon lol
I just got my 2024 platinum 4 days ago can you do a video on lifts. My son wants me to get 6in I am thinking like 4in. And which lift is best.
I personally would not go with a 6" lift. A 3" lift kit is more than plenty. Looks good and functional. Those big lift kits are just for show. The OEM TRD lift kit is a great option. yotaxpedition.com/products/oem-trd-3-lift-kit-tundra-2022-2025
Do you link to buy those black rims on 33s? I really like the look
Here is the link for the wheels yotaxpedition.com/products/fifteen52-range-hd
You think I can fit 35's Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my stock 2024 TRD Pro tundra with stock wheels?
I think it would work w/ the Pro suspension. If I'm not mistaken, you can fit 35's without any rubbing on a non-pro model with just a 2'' front leveling kit.
The black wheels look so much better!
I am a fan of black on black!
Any idea what the bracket you removed is for?
It's just like a support bracket for the fender liner.
Hi! I have a 2018 Toyota tundra can I fit 20x10x35x 0offset with little or no trim? Or do I need a lift kit thank you
You're def going to need a lift kit for that set up.
As a Tundra owner, you get used to the 10 point turns. I always back into parking spots.
What if I just want so more aggressive-looking tires on my stock rims which are 20’s what size tires would u recommend ?
You can always just go with the stock size but in a A/T or M/T
Oh wanted a bit more of and aggressive look
Why my 17 inches dont fit on my 23 Toyota tundra??? No lift
i just ordered a tundra with the 3" lift from the factory. you think 35s will fit fine??? or would i also need to removed some things.
brother, did you watch the video...?
I’ve heard people complaining about the mt tires when they drive over 65
Depends on the tire. You also need to make sure you're rotating your tires regularly so they don't start wearing funny. That's when they start to get extra noisy. The sound necessarily doesn't bother me.
Hey guys I’m from southern Georgia and I have Toyota tundra sr5 trd sport. I like to know what tires and rims look better in my tundra
I mean, that's personal opinion. Get what YOU think looks good.
What spacer are you running for the 35s
No spacers
Did you add spacers?
No spacers
💪💪💪
Are those 33” or 35”, I have a 21 off road and it came with 265/70 16. I don’t want the tires sticking out past the fenders, rocks and mud would be a pain in the ass.
Whether it’s a 35 or a 33, they could either stick out. It all is going to depend on the offset of the wheels
Is that Tundra a TRD Off Road? I don't think so. Do you think 35's will fit on a TRD Off Road? I have a 3rd gen one
This is a SR5 model. Should fit the same as this.
How about getting the OEM 3” TRD lift from factory? Is it worth?
Good option, we just did a video going over that lift kit if you want to check it out!
@@yotaxpedition Yes, I watched that video. Thanks for the details.
Any issues running a 35 under the truck for the spare?
We have not tried fitting a 35" spare yet
These guys are badass. SO SUBSCRIBE if you’re watching them dammit!
Appreciate you!
Those brown rims look like what I get when I eat Guy Fieri burgers in Bogota Columbia.
I prefer 35 with a +18 offset
Camo tundra door overlays and tailgate? I'd like a set for my black 22' sr. That looks B.A. with the black
We thought about doing camo before. We currently have topo available
33 on the truck looks better
33” looks better 🙌
33s look more functional. 35s are best suited to a lift if you want the full usage out of your parts.
Black out the chrome
Toyota has a history of new generation models being failures! And then ultimately becoming collectible . Having owned a ‘91 FJ 80, 2014 4Runner SR5 Premium, 2015 Land Cruiser and now a 2024 Tundra TRD off road 1794 Edition I can say none were/are perfect but I’m completely enjoying my Tundra. The new car smell is gone and it’s a joy to drive. Will it be collectible, probably, since everyone thinks it’s so ugly! Can you say FJ Cruiser!!
Toyota forgot the U in TRD.
TURD
You better have a good mechanic for all the crap 35’s and 37’s are going to tear up.
33s are basicly the stock tire size. very close anyways.
Yeah pretty much. Just more aggressive and wider.
Truck needs a leveling kit
We installed one soon after this video. Fabtech kit
The minor rubbing is nothing compared to the look of the truck
This is true. The rubbing was very minor
To bad there not a 35in tire their a 315/70r17 (metric) witch is a 34.4in (standard measurement) tire. Wonder how many people watched this video and bought a true 35in (standard measurement) tire for their Tundra and realize they don't fit. It does matter.
Wear your seatbelts lol
I want it on the stock wheels. Stop the aftermarket stuff
So just for show and no go? He'll never use it off-road..
So?
Sorry it's too dangerous. It's like putting 5 lb of potato in a 1 lb bag. And what do you get. Easy blowout. And who knows what after the blowout you're only going one way. 👎🤷♂️
