    The welding was shocking and mesmerizing. I never realized that's how it was done when a watch with a huge gouge was repaired. Very cool. The bracelet repair was awesome. I've watched videos of that process only, and it looks like it takes hours to do. This video could have been four hours long! Amazing craftsmanship.

      Thanks 🙏 Porosity is always tricky. But I solved it afterI shot the video, check my community post. It’s very important to weld in the exact same steel that the case is built off and Argon settings will reduce the porosity a lot. This case was very problematic, it had a lot of rust, even deep in the case, that makes the welding process way more difficult.

    Gonna go ahead and say it. I've seen a lot of restoration videos on Rolex pieces. I saw the beginning and I was like...."good luck." Seriously though.....that was an amazing transformation. Excellent skilled work. You are worth every penny.

    This is a great video. Your skill and craftsmanship is unbelievable! I never knew you could add to the case.
    I’m halfway through and for no dialogue it’s very informative and oddly relaxing. It must feel so rewarding working with your hands on such beautiful watches. I’m sure the owners are happy too.

    Habe bei meiner Uhr(16030) ja nur das Endergebnis gesehen und nie die Schritte dahin. So extrem kleinteilig und Aufwendig habe ich mir das nicht vorgestellt. Deshalb war es sehr interessant das alles einmal zu sehen. Überzeugende Arbeit.

    Used Rolex watches are often molested with over polishing, customization (dials, markers, bezels, PVD and DLC coatings), and cheap, unauthentic aftermarket parts. What a pity.

    This is a phenomenal job. I can’t help but to notice the chamfers in the crown side are much more pronounced than the other side. Just saying. Overall amazing job.

    Your videos cure my heart. I have a Tudor watch overpolished and terribly shaped and I have sent it to AD to re-polish but I do not think they will match anywhere you have done. Do you receive watches internationally

    How much of the bracelet stretch was in the gold links compared with what you corrected by replacing the pins? Did you have to press the links back to their original shape?

      Thank you 😊 Of course there is stretch also in the gold links, but stretch improved quite well without restoring the gold links as well. The bracelet is pressed to original shape.

    Wirklich geniales Video. Ich hab lange danach gesucht, wie man richtig die Oberseite der Hörner poliert/lappt. War wirklich toll zu sehen. Ich würde mich unglaublich darüber freuen, wenn du einmal zeigen könntest wie man den Winkel richtig einstellt.

      Danke das ist super nett. Ich mache relativ viel CAD und habe mich immer gefragt wie diese Geometrie bei meiner Sub zustande kommt, da es ja eben nicht einfach gedreht oder von der Seite gefräst sein kann und die Oystergehäuse seit den 50ern so aussehen. War wirklich ein heftiger Aha-Moment als ich Ihr Video gesehen habe.

    Id be interested to know what grade of SS is the watch case and what grade ss wire was used to restore this watch.

      Vintage Rolex Watches are from 316l steel and newer from 904l steel. I always use the same steel, case is made from, for welding.

    I have a big project and am wondering if you can restore it.
    I have a certina ph500m case with a damaged drilled out too big crowntube and a damaged case.
