While I admire your workmanship, I am more inclined to preserving the watch as in original condition as possible. In this example you have a case restored and polished to its original, but the dial and hands look vintage, which kind of does not work for me.

This is a tool vintage watch. The people who typically collect these want them in original condition, even if it is rough. By refinishing it the way you did you took away considerable value.
True for some, ut I would want a brand new piece as if I bought it then. This is as close to that as I can get. To each his own,
I like to experience the watch as it would have been when first bought when new.
