I believe the reason the port isn't in the back is to protect the port from getting damaged, in the event the whole unit gets pushed back into a wall, or whatever is behind it.
It's mainly to avoid having to constantly bend down and reattach the cable every so often when if falls out. By having the cable mount to the inside then bend 180 degrees like that is to make it nearly impossible to accidentally disconnect the cable.
That was my thought to. Personally I would have put it on the underside like they did with the connector between the main pedals and the clutch. They could even still have that bend to help keep the plug from disconnecting just off to one side but also protected from your foot slipping or whatever.

Love your content but you’ve made a couple slightly incorrect statements about the brake. The elastomers are for the soft stage and the pedal will travel regardless of the elastomer hardness. You adjusted the preload on the back which is the pad to disk take up “simulation” which is the first part of the soft stage, not the whole soft stage. The elastomers finish the soft stage. Push more and the pedal will lock out - ie - stop moving completely - you’re in the hard stage, but you can continue to brake due to the system still measuring the pressure of the fluid without any brake pedal movement. This is the big difference when compared to all other hydraulic and load cell pedals, they have to continue to move to measure pressure - even if a small amount - and that is not what happens with a race car pedal. In race brakes once the pads are on the disk completely there is zero pedal movement, just pressure.
Almost spot on, except other hydraulic systems will also continue to measure an increase in pressure past the mechanical bump stop, it’s just that most are designed with a longer throw so you’re likely to actually reach it before maxing out your calibration. It’s very unusual to physically max out the 1000+ PSI sensors typically used on hydraulic pedals.
@@boostedmedia wow, Will commenting on my comment!! For sure, it would take a Herculean effort to get to the bump stop on my Tilton-based hydraulics - so effectively they’re going to still have movement but you’re right they still would measure pressure if locked out.

Jay, great video! These pedals look amazing for my next racing rig. Love the racing sim content, all sim content. I'm a race simmer but a flight simmer mainly and would love to see your review/tier list of flight pedals and other peripherals in the flight space.
This makes me really excited to get my sim rig out of storage and put in some laps. I can't even begin to tell you how much I would love to see you do a JayzTwoCents Time Attack Challenge. You, Nick and Phil put down your best lap times on a specific track in a specific car and give all of us a week to try and beat it. Could be an ongoing thing where every month we move on to a different track/car combination. Would be amazing if we could have some type of timing leader board... Ugh, papa Jay plz!
I have always wanted a sim rig. My issue is that as much as I enjoy driving, my initial passion was flying. You mentioned you haven't decided on a frame yet. Any chance you could get/review a frame that can support both (if that exists)?
Next level racing have hotas mounts for there GTtrack rig. The mounts are an additional £150 ontop of the cost of the main rig which is around £650. then youl need a a couple of grand for the sim hardware aswell. i personally went for mounts that attach to my office chairs frame and kept the sim rig set up for racing only. Its an expensive rabbit hole, but such a good rabbit hole to go down.
Have a look at sim-lab too, and rigmetal in the US. Aluminium profile based rigs are the most flexible so you could in theory get all your hardware mounted to those
If you want to do both, driving and flying the best rig you can buy is 8020 aluminium extrusion. If you really want flex free and infinitely adjustable rig, that is the only way. I would look at 120mm minimum for flying, to gain the extra height to accommodate the mechanism/mounting solution for rudder pedals and regular pedals. If in EU I would look at the SimXPro XT120 or the better/sturdier option XT160 or the OG of alu rigs SimLab P1-X which is also 160mm. It is the industry standard for 8020 rigs, since it is the sturdiest option and later upgradable to accommodate ANYTHING. If you are in the US, you can look at Track Racer TR120/160, GTOmega Prime, ASR 4 and ASR6. For the UK you have GT Omega Prime and Si Turnbull rigs. I built my own 80x40mm rig at the beginning for 280€ to mount the G29 to it, and can with no problem now run CSW 2.5 with V3 pedals (skip those, get the BJ GT Steel (Mechanical) for almost the same). And this black Friday I finally decided it is time to upgrade the 15 year old logitech joystick, and got the Warthog combo for 370€ (was looking at VKB Gunfighter Mk.III and VIRPIL Throttle, but decided it is a big enough improvement already and I can later have 2 good joystick systems if needed). And I can say that I had no problem adding the HOTAS on top of the original driving sim setup.
Appreciate the sim racing content, Jay! For anyone looking to get into it, just know you do NOT need to spend a grand on pedals and a grand on the wheel. There are top tier drivers using a 300$ Logitech setup. Thrustmaster is an excellent step up from starter to get going.
Jay, I'm from cali too... been watching your channel for like 4 years now and have never Subbed.. Usually it's because I like my privacy and I'm not a follower, and I don't like being bothered by people... .Buttt... I just subbed to your channel today... I was surprised to hear Asetek were entering the sim racing arena. Wow they went all out on these pedals. I’d be interested to see how much they will cost in the UK as compared to say Heusinkveld Engineering Sim Pedals Ultimate+ which if I had the space or budget would probably be on the list. Important to get out there to any new comers thinking of getting in to sim racing, that a lot of the high end equipment is beyond the average persons budget. I totally agree with Jay that the professional experience and feel that you get from high end equipment can not be met by entry level equipment. But do not let that put you off. I still use a Logitech G27 and am comfortably beating friends that have spent near 10K on extremely high end sim setup. You don’t have to spend thousands to be fast, don’t get me wrong if I could I would😀, entry level stuff is more than enough if that all your budget can afford.
iv tried those pedals the older ultimate non + and absolutely wipe the floor with a lot of pedals on the market i have fanatec v3 and it felt completely different
Hi Jayz. I am new to your channel, and I found you when I was looking for a solution to my pc problems. The reason that I have a pc, is so I can enjoy sim racing. It is great to know that I can gain knowledge on both of those subjects from one source. Keep up the great content.
A long while back you put out the question of what content we'd like to see due to the situation with PC parts/builds. I would love to see more detailed videos covering your Sim rig. Not just the parts you decide to use but also components you considered but ultimately decided in another direction.
Alright I wasn't interested in a sim rig but seeing this makes me want to go for it. I was always all about the arcade games. Seeing something like this is really appealing.
Jay please make a follow up video while using these after you have mounted them on to your sim rig. Would be nice to see them in use and how you would have set them up
YES! I loved the sim racing stuff you did and I'm so glad to see some more of it. Just got my GT Omega Art cockpit but still waiting for fanatec to ship my csl dd and lc pedals
I have been watching this channel for years and I had no idea he was into sim racing lol. I must have somehow missed anything to do with sim racing on his channel lol. Makes it even funnier because in 2019 I got really into sim racing and have been doing it ever since and this is the first sim related video I have seen haha.😆
Hello, you are so right about how a racing brake pedal works. It's about using force to control braking rather than pedal movement. You have a much better control of the force applied to the pedal if it does not move, or very little. Only road cars use pedals that have a long stroke.
Dang those look dope. I usually get pretty bored of racing games very fast, but I've always wanted a nice quality wheel and pedal set. I'll have to check these out when I have space for them.
A high quality budget Logi G920 or Thrustmaster T150 Pro(never the RS) for around 200 USD is perfect for desk mounting and entry SIM rigs. T300 is the next step up then Fanatec
lol. I just placed my order for the ClubSport V3 Pedals with the performance kit. I'm getting into sim racing myself, finally. Dropped around $1400 over the last two days. I'm getting the Thrustmaster TS-PC with the Sparco Rally Wheel, along with the TH8A shifter. I'm mounting it all with the GT Omega Apex Racing Wheel Stand. I think it will be a sweet place to start into this hobby. My main goal with the gear was to hit a level of quality where I didn't immediately want to upgrade. Which I knew I would if I bought anything less than the ClubSport V3 Pedals. There's simply nothing below the V3 that wouldn't greatly disappoint. I have very limited space, so I couldn't go with a full cockpit. This means the weakest part of this setup will be my chair, and keeping it secure enough to operate the pedals properly. I'm open to suggestions. If there's a chair that can be stored away easily, but will grip well on a hard floor, let me know!
When you look at how much they put into these pedals money wise they basically have to go for broke here and really try to take a chunk of the market - reviews all seem very positive
@@ConfusedRaccoon overall, all have been very positive and comparatively a good value and very lifelike. Albeit a few little nits here and there. BUT... all were given to the reviewers and weren't purchased. Tho most say they would not hesitate to use them as their main pedals, even over more pricey ones.... Adjustability is a bit lacking and a bit noisy for quiet nights when you don't want others to be disturbed....
Jay will probably want to make a trip to Micro Center to see the newly imported high-end sim gear they've started stocking recently - Sim-Lab profile/extrusion cockpit (P1-X is as close to the industry benchmark as there is such a thing) - Simucube Direct Drive wheel bases (Also long considered some of the best in the market) - Gomez Sim Industries steering wheels I think too Plus could be more, but I'm not in the US so would need a closer look!
They arent kidding on that price though... over 1000 bucks just for the full pedal set... Holy. I grew up with a 68 Mercury Cougar and a 1970 Ford Torino. After I fixed the brake systems on both I had a solid pedal as well. You get REAL used to it and brake pressure is all direct feedback from the car and the brakes themselves. I love it. But anytime I drove my dads truck or my moms car I was hitting the brakes a little to hard for a few miles. Took me like a year of switching cars regularly before I stopped doing it. I am actually surprised with how nice this system is. At least from what I can tell watching a video. Glad they were smart enough to put a physical connection between the two sets. I was worried they skipped that and it already killed it for me, but no problem.
This looks dope! (also expensive). I've never really been someone to be interested in sym racing, but this peaks my interest. I'd love to actually get a cage, get some pedals, steering wheel and just start sym racing Rally (I love watching rally). But getting into sym racing is rather expensive sadly.
I wish somebody would make force feedback gear shift. I got G29 wheel/pedals with TH8a shifter with added shifter for my 18 speed for ATS ( American truck simulator). Nobody i knows makes force feed back gear shift. So you get that real gear shift moving a bit, I think that be kinda cool if somebody made. But good video as always Jay. Ask that company if they every make force feed back gear shift for ATS or other racing sims.
Google DIY sim racing shifter with clutch lockout. Someone has a great diy online for a shifter that also has a lockout where you have to use the clutch to shift. One of those with a transducer mounted to the bottom for driveline vibration and the sense of clunking into gear would give you a great sense of immersion.
@@Jpilgrim30 Oh sound interesting. But I already float gears now with ATS, I just wish my THA8 shifter now was stiffer with bit rattle so feels more real. But alright. I’ll try to look that up. Unless you have link? But thanks for info :)
Just wanted to say thank you Jay, Phil, and Nick for all you do, never did I think that I would ever build a computer but with the help from your channel and a little bit of luck getting a new graphics card I just completed my new build and it had a good post when I turned it on, such an amazing feeling to know that I built it and It and I works great so thank you guys, and keep doing what you do love the channel sincerely Travis

@Douglas m My bad. You learn something new every day. Though, calling a sequential manual a manual is a technical distinction. The user experience is more akin to an automatic than a manual.
@@empiricalmadman3260 I understand what you mean, but the fact that user has to manually change the gears weather it be an h pattern or a sequential(stick or paddle) should qualify it as a manual
Hey Jay. I was going through your back catalog and saw one of your old world of warships commercials with the U.S.S. Iowa BB61. My father was stationed on the Iowa during it's refit and for two years after in the 80s. I was fortunate enough to go on a 3 day cruise with him, it's a truly amazing ship. I was on deck when they demonstrated a full broadside, I'm sure you've seen the photos online. The amount of fire power was truly awesome and terrifying. Anyway just wanted to share with you.
Damn. I was really hoping these would be cheaper. Really hard to get into the hobby when you need to drop several thousand on kit. ~£900 for the peddles. I'm guessing the DD wheel will be £1000+ and then another £200 for the shifter? Oh well. Going to have to hope someone's selling a G29 or something on eBay.
If you want to start out and are looking for gear trying out a G29 or similar is the best bet, the amount of people who bought big due to staying home in the past 2 years and have started selling up because they say they don't have the time to make the most of it is quite high Gear of this spec and price is the stuff you check out when you're absolutely committed
A g29 is a great starter if you wanna go a little more Gucci you can get the new fanatec budget direct drive wheel it’s like $700 for the base a wheel and a pedal set that’s pretty decent.
You can try looking for a Thrustmaster T300RS. It should be better than G29 and it does come with 3 pedals (I think Gran Turismo edition has 3 pedals). Shouldn't break the bank like some of these parts you mentioned, but should be a decent entry point. It doesn't come with a shifter out of the box, but neither does the G29. Although the shifter for the T300RS is more expensive than G29 shifter, it's also more versatile supporting H shifting or sequential shifting and definitely feels more robust compared to G29, but there is a noticeable price difference between the two.

I'm sure it would cost more if it had the clutch pedal included, so I actually like that it's separate because you won't have paid more for a pedal you don't use if you don't have a gear lever yet or, like you said, you don't use it at all. Meaning you can upgrade incrementally, meaning easier entry into the sim world and more customers
I'd say the USB on the pedals isn't mounted at the front like you showed due to people using it just on carpet/floor, stomping the brakes/clutch would make the pedal box slide forward and smashing the USB plug into things.
I know you like cars, but your average sedan, "most cars," have a push rod that connects from the brake pedal into the brake booster. There is a little slack at first, but when you push firmly on the brake, it's actually the resistance from the vacuum in the booster that you feel. In the common sedan of course. Thank you for your vids though.
I'm not even looking for a racing sim (because I don't have anywhere to put it) But, you said one thing that is awesome. Enthusiasts are involved with making the product(s). I'm looking forward to seeing more on this. Maybe one day I will have space for a sim rig.
So, I don't have my license, I love cars, I wish I had space for a car sim at home. But this is video is soooooo interesting, like boy, I was so into all your explanations about break pedals! You are a man of knowledge!! I Really enjoyed watching it!!! Nice job!
If I’m correct…. Brakes on a typical car are actually a ‘normally closed’ reed switch. So when your foot is off the pedal it pushes the button and opens the circuit. But when you touch the pedal, it releases the button/switch and closes the circuit which turns the brakes on
Nice to see Asetek getting into sim racing. Started with a low end Thrustmaster wheel and pedal and have used Logitech and Fanatec gear as well. Been waiting to get into the higher end of direct drive wheels and higher end pedals above my Fanatec CSL elite.
Is it weird that I dont give two ducks about sim racing but I like Jay and crew so much that I want to watch their videos just to help them with the algorithm
12:33 firm brake pedals are awesome, also makes a lot of sense for racing as you sometimes want to use brakes and throttle at the same time so you have to use your clutch leg to brake
I mean once learning it has hydraulics inside, it all makes sense it's made by asetek. What a great day to be a simracing nerd. Actually accessible industrial grade hydraulic pressure sensitive brakes instead of loadcells. Great to see simracing content on the channel again.
And the hydraulic system just activates an electric pressure switch and sends the exact same information for the game to process as the load cell or even a hall sensor actually. No reason that a well constructed quality load cell pedal set could not be configured with little to no pedal travel and use software to set up dead zones and pressure curves and deliver the exact same feel as the hydraulic unit at a much lower price point. The hydraulic fluid does not compress and is only doing the same thing using the fluid as the medium to apply pressure to the switch where the load cell is using the pressure applied directly from the pedal to the load cell switch to do the same thing. It is still just changing the resistance of a variable electric switch using applied pressure to the brake pedal, no more, no less.
i've been playing ACC for a year now and just moved from ps4 to PC after i upgraded my PC. thrustmaster T300 works fine for me now....but will probably upgrade next year. A wheelstand/racing seat has probably been the best upgrade i've made so far
I didn't know you were a motorhead and sim fan! So many people underestimate the learning potential of a half decent sim. Can't wait to see your setup, very excited... I was SO close to buying a Yaw-VR motion pod (LTT did a vid) off kickstarter, before the pandemic, without a PC, or VR lol. Glad I didn't for so many reasons. I finally have a VR capable PC (great timing). I'm a huge believer in VR (playing VR shooters broke my life-long bad habit of shooting with one eye closed) and I know VR has gotta be the best way to sim. I really wonder if you can learn heal-toe on a sim, or if the software just doesn't have enough feedback to let you know when you get it right. Practicing in my pop's base Subaru Impreza (sorry dad) with squishy brakes, badly spaced pedals (too close like the STI), and SLOW throttle response (heavy flywheel + electronic throttle body) has made it much more natural in any proper spots car. I've always had trouble with heal toe and my big feet, so learning on a sim world be incredible. Also, I really dig the idea of being able to mount the clutch farther away from the other pedals (where it should be)
Please keep going sim racing content, I would really enjoy a video showing your racing sim. I started watching your channel when I was doing research to build my gaming PC that I built with the sole purpose of playing iracing
I believe the reason the port isn't in the back is to protect the port from getting damaged, in the event the whole unit gets pushed back into a wall, or whatever is behind it.

Would be amazing if we could have some type of timing leader board... Ugh, papa Jay plz!
You killed their website! Wish you could compare them to the
Heusinkveld's.
I have always wanted a sim rig. My issue is that as much as I enjoy driving, my initial passion was flying. You mentioned you haven't decided on a frame yet. Any chance you could get/review a frame that can support both (if that exists)?
He mention he got an Obutto Revolution
Next level racing have hotas mounts for there GTtrack rig. The mounts are an additional £150 ontop of the cost of the main rig which is around £650. then youl need a a couple of grand for the sim hardware aswell.
i personally went for mounts that attach to my office chairs frame and kept the sim rig set up for racing only. Its an expensive rabbit hole, but such a good rabbit hole to go down.
Do what I did... build a dual rig.. part-time flying, part-time driving ;)
13:55 I assume they have the USB C port facing inwards to make sure you can access it no matter what kind of encasing you put it into.
I saw these on instagram a while back I have been saving to buy these. I’m so happy to see jay review them. Makes me want to get them right now
As a sim racers and a fan/subscriber to your channel I loved the Sim racing content! Thank you for all of your content.
I'm just wondering how Asetek will figure out how to collect fees from the other Racing Pedal makers. 😀
Gud one 🦍
They bought the company that made the displays used in basically all High-End steering wheels, so yea, they're working on it.
lmao their ceo must have huge nose
@KacKLaPPeN23 do you have any links , I'd like to k ow more about that .
Soon they will patent the way pedals are and even ford will have to pay a royal fee
19:09: And you know what else I never thought I would say in the same sentence?
Linus in the background: This amazing segway sponsor, iFixIt!
Appreciate the sim racing content, Jay! For anyone looking to get into it, just know you do NOT need to spend a grand on pedals and a grand on the wheel. There are top tier drivers using a 300$ Logitech setup. Thrustmaster is an excellent step up from starter to get going.
And the more expensive stuff doesnt make you a better driver
Jay, I'm from cali too... been watching your channel for like 4 years now and have never Subbed.. Usually it's because I like my privacy and I'm not a follower, and I don't like being bothered by people... .Buttt... I just subbed to your channel today...
I just like your vibe, like your energy, like the crew (Phil & Nick) .. I even like that you bring your wife and daughters on sometimes... that's dope, bro .
I'm from Silicon Valley, so i've been in tech and I.T. since the early 2000s, so of course, your channel's material resonates with me well .
Keep up the good times !
Woah, who do I contact to get my hands on these!?!?!?
Super pumped to see an in use review of this system.
Nice mate! Can’t wait to see the final product with the sim rig 👍🏼
Welcome and congratulations on finding another money pit hobby
Jay please make a follow up video while using these after you have mounted them on to your sim rig. Would be nice to see them in use and how you would have set them up
YES! I loved the sim racing stuff you did and I'm so glad to see some more of it. Just got my GT Omega Art cockpit but still waiting for fanatec to ship my csl dd and lc pedals
Dear customer, we regret to inform you that the container ship from China has had another delay :D
@@misterdog7 I’ve already gotten two of that emails lol. I just hope the next one is a processing email
@@nathankim9170 They could have transported it by truck from China already in this time...
I have been watching this channel for years and I had no idea he was into sim racing lol. I must have somehow missed anything to do with sim racing on his channel lol. Makes it even funnier because in 2019 I got really into sim racing and have been doing it ever since and this is the first sim related video I have seen haha.😆
I am into sim racing since two years. Love seeing Jay talking about sim racing!
Danish Design :) im so proud
The reasons for the USB C plug facing that way is so obvious Jay. Its so you don't accidently pull the cable out.
this..
cable clip is being looked at too
/AsetekSimSports
Asetek has been handing these out like candy to EVERY sim racer you tube content provider, must have seen about 7 or 8 reviews already already
What's the average response to them? Good, bad or meh?
When you look at how much they put into these pedals money wise they basically have to go for broke here and really try to take a chunk of the market - reviews all seem very positive
@@ConfusedRaccoon overall, all have been very positive and comparatively a good value and very lifelike. Albeit a few little nits here and there. BUT... all were given to the reviewers and weren't purchased. Tho most say they would not hesitate to use them as their main pedals, even over more pricey ones.... Adjustability is a bit lacking and a bit noisy for quiet nights when you don't want others to be disturbed....
yeah they are bringing the heat to the top dogs and PC style release
Jay will probably want to make a trip to Micro Center to see the newly imported high-end sim gear they've started stocking recently
- Sim-Lab profile/extrusion cockpit (P1-X is as close to the industry benchmark as there is such a thing)
- Simucube Direct Drive wheel bases (Also long considered some of the best in the market)
- Gomez Sim Industries steering wheels I think too
Plus could be more, but I'm not in the US so would need a closer look!
I run the thrustmaster lcm pedals and for the price they are built really well and robust
Wow!
That is impressive.
Was on Asetek's site and checked all the specs of the set in the 'Tech Specs'.
Pretty amazing.
We need more sim content like this Jay!
This looks dope! (also expensive). I've never really been someone to be interested in sym racing, but this peaks my interest. I'd love to actually get a cage, get some pedals, steering wheel and just start sym racing Rally (I love watching rally). But getting into sym racing is rather expensive sadly.
glad the ifixit ad is back, its the most entertaining ad i've ever seen
@@Jpilgrim30
Oh sound interesting. But I already float gears now with ATS, I just wish my THA8 shifter now was stiffer with bit rattle so feels more real. But alright. I’ll try to look that up. Unless you have link? But thanks for info :)

Ok many thanks :)
You can totally tell Jay loved talking about cars in such a technical sense. He seemed so in his element and it's awesome!
Those pedals are friggin gorgeous. Definitely do a follow up with them in use. o.o
As a Sim Racing nerd, I'm loving the Sim Racing content!!!
Now get two rigs set up and invite guests in to race so we can all mock Linus getting beaten round the ring!
;)
Finally seeing sim racing rig content again! Looking forward to seeing these puppies working!
Finally a pedal set for those who want to have somewhat close to as stiff break as it is in F1 car.
I love that the cluctch is a side opyion. As someone that can't drive with a clutch due to a lack of pressure feel in the legs. This is really nice
That moment when jay says an f1 car and lmp1 cars are automatic…..
I was going to say something, but decided against doing so.
Well, they are. Cars with DCTs and paddle shifters are still automatics. If it doesn't have a clutch, it isn't a manual.
@@empiricalmadman3260 f1 cars and lmp cars have clutches they are actuated by paddles on the back of the wheel. They aren’t dct, almost no race cars are because of weight.
@Douglas m My bad. You learn something new every day. Though, calling a sequential manual a manual is a technical distinction. The user experience is more akin to an automatic than a manual.
@@empiricalmadman3260 I understand what you mean, but the fact that user has to manually change the gears weather it be an h pattern or a sequential(stick or paddle) should qualify it as a manual
not gnna lie . love seeing sim stuff on the main channel . this a blend if my two worlds
LOVE this content. During the GPU shortage of you just wanna review stuff like this I am SO DOWN!
Oh well. Going to have to hope someone's selling a G29 or something on eBay.
most people enter sim hobbies on cheaper parts in flight/space you see a lot of Thrustmaster T16000 sticks for example.
If you want to start out and are looking for gear trying out a G29 or similar is the best bet, the amount of people who bought big due to staying home in the past 2 years and have started selling up because they say they don't have the time to make the most of it is quite high
Gear of this spec and price is the stuff you check out when you're absolutely committed
A g29 is a great starter if you wanna go a little more Gucci you can get the new fanatec budget direct drive wheel it’s like $700 for the base a wheel and a pedal set that’s pretty decent.
Look into the Fanatec CSL DD.
Seeing more sim rigs and parts would be awesome 👍
I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet.
More Sim Racing stuff PLEEEASE! Have just gotten into it myself and would love to know more.
Can’t wait to see you try it on some racing sims
I know you like cars, but your average sedan, "most cars," have a push rod that connects from the brake pedal into the brake booster. There is a little slack at first, but when you push firmly on the brake, it's actually the resistance from the vacuum in the booster that you feel. In the common sedan of course. Thank you for your vids though.
Big yes! This type of content I like as an alternative of PC Builds and crazy experiments.
I sure hope that AseTek does not try to patent troll the rest of the sim industry.
How nice, and to see that spark in your eyes. That feel of "now THIS is new stuff to unbox, test and review"
Nice job!
Funny. I was just saying that the pedals seem too tall, and then 10 seconds later, Jay mentions you can lower/raise the pedal heights.
@JayzTwoCents
I was going to watch this whole video but when you said
"Those are all AUTOMATICS" @1:25
I spit my coffee all over my monitor
If I’m correct…. Brakes on a typical car are actually a ‘normally closed’ reed switch. So when your foot is off the pedal it pushes the button and opens the circuit. But when you touch the pedal, it releases the button/switch and closes the circuit which turns the brakes on
FINALLY! Love seeing you doing sim gear.
Nice to see Asetek getting into sim racing. Started with a low end Thrustmaster wheel and pedal and have used Logitech and Fanatec gear as well. Been waiting to get into the higher end of direct drive wheels and higher end pedals above my Fanatec CSL elite.
I've already pre ordered my pedals can't wait to step up from the Fanatec v3's
Wooooh! 12:30 am est! Love late night binging.
Is it weird that I dont give two ducks about sim racing but I like Jay and crew so much that I want to watch their videos just to help them with the algorithm
could you guys possibly do a video where you show off a more budget sim rig set up?
I usually just skip over the sponsored clip, but never when I watch the ad for iFixit you guys created. It's always a blast
12:33 firm brake pedals are awesome, also makes a lot of sense for racing as you sometimes want to use brakes and throttle at the same time so you have to use your clutch leg to brake
and firm brakes allow you to start braking later ;)
that clutch pedal is awsome. trustmaster has one good set of pedals T-LCM. those fall in a medium category but isn't low end anymore.
I'm glad to see someone who knows what he's talking about doing a review like this.
Can't wait to see the wheel !
You can tell when Jay gets excited, he fixes his sweater a lot. 🤣
A wheelstand/racing seat has probably been the best upgrade i've made so far

great to see more sim-racing videos, we need more.
I've been looking to get into Sim racing... This made me rethink my budget...
