Perfect video. I have a Nissan Frontier like you. I saved so much time loading two Kayaks for the first time by watching this video. Thanks a lot. I hit the like button.
I can't believe you posted this video. I was puzzling about this exact scenario today, because I have an outback and my friend that I fish with has a lightening strike. Thanks for posting this!
Great video! At 4:00 I use a piece of old yoga mat to put between the ratchet strap head and the kayak. I have scratches on one of my kayaks when I didn't do this and the wind was blowing the head of the strap and moving it just enough to dig into the kayak.
Kinda impressed you got all that boat into a Fronty. Got a friend with that truck, and I figured we'd have to use my Silverado if we both want to go, but now I see that if I can convince her to ditch her tonneau, we can use her truck. 🤣
I just purchased an outback for my wife and I and we both have been having so much fun kayak fishing. Great video and advice on how to load up these 2 kayaks. Are you related to the actor Matthew McConaughey?
I just ordered two Lightning Strikes and I have a reg cab GMC with a tool box. My question is what tailgate extender do you use and where can I get one like yours!
Mine is similar to the one I posted below and then I just got an extra thick noodle. from Walmart to put on it with zip ties. ECOTRIC Pick Up Truck Bed Hitch Extender Extension Rack Canoe Boat Kayak Lumber w/Flag www.amazon.com/dp/B01AW6BEBK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_z0Q7Eb9YKJBKP
between the outback and the lightning strike, which would you consider a more versatile kayak? I was considering getting the LS, but I went with a 2015 Outback fully loaded for like $300 less.
Both are great kayaks; you got your self a great deal. The outback with the CT Vantage seat is going to keep you dry and comfortable for hours fishing. I would have to have more time on the water with the Lightning. I’m still not liking it’s turning radius. The outback we have a bigger rudder on it. I’m probably more comfortable standing in the Lightning. Enjoy that outback 👍🎣
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish thanks for the input! I'm picking up another 2017 Outback today with 180 drive. I'm just gonna throw that in my 15 since the 15 is already rigged. Great deal on this one too. $1,400. That'll be for the wife. She doesn't need 180 drive lol I'm subbed now btw! Great channel!
If your looking for a bed extender then just go to Amazon and search “truck bed extender”. I noticed some have increased in price but they are still under $100. You can pick one up from a local Harbor Freight but I don’t think the one they have has the side arms👍

Great to hear 👍 Glad it helped 😊

I’ll have to watch out for that; I keep it pretty snug 👍
Thanks, that’s really helpful info! I wondered at first why you had the Outback on top but now I get it after watching the whole video.

Got a short bed truck, ordered this extender. Hopefully can get 2 moken 12.5 in the back. Trying to figure out how to maneuver that
A trick : you can watch series at flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Lyric Nash Definitely, I've been using flixzone for months myself :)
Same here. Two new Mokens and trying to figure this out. Any luck?
@@mojodojo5533 load both upside down on top of each other.
Good to know!!

Glad the video helped; others have asked me that too 😆
What bed extender are you using? I have a similar one but mine doesn't adjust to narrow like yours and I really like that. I wish mine did that.
I got it off Amazon; just search bed extender; it’s under $70 with free shipping
