    I don't fish anymore but there is one thing I have noticed about a lot of the fishing channels. Couples , Families enjoying time together. In the modern world where people often ignore each other to spend more time staring at their phone I find this refreshing and encouraging.

    Thank you for the helpful video! I will have to try this solution out on my short bed Tacoma. I like your Equator, don't see those too often!

      The equator was a good truck to me. I just recently upgraded to a Gladiator.
      Been wanting a 4x4 midsized truck for a while 👍

    That was cool. I was wondering how I’d move two of those around in my truck.

    Great idea to loading yoir two hobie. I just picked up two outback and trying to figure best way to haul in 5,5 length pickup bed. What length truck bed do you have ? Do you put anything between the two boats to keep from rubbing. Thx a bunch. Cheers

      It’s a short Bed truck so I do use a bed extender, nothing is used between the kayaks. They mate up perfectly.

    The Hobie dealer I bought my PA12 from told me that using ratchet straps on any Hobie voids the hull's warranty. He actually gave me two lashing straps for free because I only had ratchet straps. I know you know what you are doing, I saw that you hardly put any pressure when you strapped it down. I just thought I would share the info for others who may not know that the shape of these yaks can be distorted and Hobie won't cover that.
    Thanks for the video. I bought a jet ski trailer and converted it, but it isn't always the best option. I have 5 kayaks but sometimes I take 1, next time I may take 3 or 4, so I run into different scenarios for hauling. I cringe at the thought of putting another kayak on my PA12. I will get over that in time.
    Happy peddling.

      Georgia Boy that’s good info to know. I don’t ratchet it too tight but my dealer never told me that even when loading it in my truck. After it was secured I had then come back out for a last minute mirage drive leash install and no one told me that info.
      Thanks again. I haven’t had any issues . I just feel more comfortable with a ratchet on them.

      I know what you mean. I was nervous on the 2 hour interstate ride home. Hobie certainly isn't going to replace one that blows out or off of a vehicle because it "wasn't" ratcheted down.
      Quick question... Was the outback originally yours?

    • @GetOutTheHouseGoFish
      @GetOutTheHouseGoFish  6 років тому +1

      Georgia Boy yes the outback I purchased from the dealer. The PA12 I purchased from someone who might of used it 5-6 times and was scratch free. I was amazed.

    Looks great but doesn’t seem to much space left for seats, drives, poles, cooler, tackle, battery, etc

    • @GetOutTheHouseGoFish
      @GetOutTheHouseGoFish  2 роки тому +1

      The rods are stored in the PA12 but sometimes I would store a few more to the side of the yaks.
      The other gear and seats were in the back seat of the truck.

    I have a PA 12 and a Compass, do it same way except I welded the nuts on bed extender. I drilled holes in the bed extender and use rope locks ( I think thats what they are called ) I never leave kayaks alone. I heard that someone was at a stoplight and another person jumped out of a car and grabbed their drive and seat 🤬🤬🤬 I lock everything up

    • @GetOutTheHouseGoFish
      @GetOutTheHouseGoFish  2 роки тому

      That’s terrible someone would jump out and grab your gear. I keep my drive in my truck and the seat is always locked in.

  • @Nelsonthelaw

    Great video! But what about the gear, all the poles, crates, seats, mirage drives? Where do i put the fish? (Dont say inside the cab!) . Trying to figure out the best way to take all my gear and my buddy's gear too. Thanks in advance!

    • @GetOutTheHouseGoFish
      @GetOutTheHouseGoFish  6 років тому +1

      Yea the gear I do put in the cab; as far as the fish, they go in the Arctic Cooler and after strapping everything in I still have room for my cooler on the side of my kayaks in the truck bed.

    I have the exact same truck Bed Extender and kayak setup and ordered what I thought to be large pool noodles but cannot slide it over the female part of the extender that is resting underneath the bottom of the kayak how did you get your noodles over that or where did you find pool noodles with somewhere closer to a 2in inner hole diameter? Video and advice was great help just hit a brick wall with that issue

    • @GetOutTheHouseGoFish
      @GetOutTheHouseGoFish  6 років тому

      I got the bigger pool noodles from Walmart. I got a knife and cut an x from the inside to about halfway out then worked it on to the metal. Took a bit of pushing and working back and forth. It’ll push what ever extra material out and then it’ll be a nice tight fit.

    I load and carry my kayak exactly the same way. I might get a ladder rack for my pickup so I can take the boat and kayak next time I go to the Keys. I just subbed back. You are almost to 1000 subs... Congrats!

    • @GetOutTheHouseGoFish
      @GetOutTheHouseGoFish  6 років тому +1

      RetiredGuy Adventures Thank you. I was worried at first with loading both kayaks into the back of the truck but another person told me about flipping the outback with rudder to the rear and they would mate up perfectly and the outback wouldn’t touch the window.
      Works perfectly 🙂No issues at all.
