I've always liked how even when they're worn the dark gray toning on Barbers makes the design pop. When toned they seem to have more detail than they actually do.

Good Morning TCG!🍵 Except for my Type Set, my aim for most Barber Halves has been to fill the album holes rather than high grade. But it amazes me how very worn so many of them are! They really worked hard doing their job!!😊

Hi, Ben. When I was young, I thought the Barber Liberty was a male. It still looks like that to me today. I am more into MS and PR Barbers than the circulated grades. I think the Cameo and Deep Cameo Proofs are badass. Another informative video. Thanks. *TYU*

That's the same grading book you recommended to me back when. After buying it, not that expensive, I realized that the line images were easier to understand than the photos in the new grading books that cost much more than the old one cost me. Frankly put, it made a great difference in grading for me., I'm more accurate. Highly recommend the book.

"I know I'm upside down--don't criticize." A chuckle and reflection about seeing new things by simply flipping the coin. Over time, the face of a coin becomes hard-wired, and simply inverting the coin may improve our assessments. This practice can't beat moving the light around, but seeing is hard. This, from a photographer who's shot for decades.

I and several other young numismatists really appreciate these guides especially on more niche groups of coins such as Barber coinage, excellent guide👍

Barbers we’re my specialty for 5 years
Had many dozens of semi key barber quarters and halves VF XF AU and a handful of MS
Barber halves especially have tripled in VF and better in the last 10 years
Big money for AU58 and MS coins
My AU 55/58 set were about $300-500 a coin for the common dates and anywhere from $700-5000 for the semi keys
    Today they’re 2-3x that

Hoorayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy I have been looking forward to this for LONG ASS TIMEEEEEEEEE - A selfish part of me wishes you wouldn't teach them :) Nobody does a good job of grading at this point on Ebay - there's those in the "know" that have put the time in and there's those are just starting...and spending time on Fine 12 - AU50 is my preferred sweet spot online :) but it's kinda like poker....a minute to learn but a lifetime to master

1900 was actually the year of the hun change type I and type II reverse
1892 quarters have type I and 2 reverses
1897-0 quarters have a center mm variety (my favorite barber coin of all). 99% of 97-0 quarters have the mm to the far right under the eagle tail
The CMM is centered between the eagles legs right in the middle and is downright rare
