The Barber Half is one of my favorite US Coins. I decided about 10 years ago to put together a set in VG10-F12. I do have all the issues (except 1892-micro O) but some still need to be upgraded to my target grade. I'm a small time coin dealer and one of my customers is trying to put together a set in V30-35. I think he still needs 8 issues. As a dealer I'm amazed at how many collectors purchase Morgan Dollars. In fact, all it takes is a big enough checking account to buy them. Well matched Barber Half dollars in any grade is a challenge. Been thinking about starting a Barber Dime set in XF40-45.
I have developed a great appreciation for Barber half dollars after watching your video and have come back to watch this several times. I didn't realize what a nice one goes for.
I'm watching this in 2023 and I enjoyed your video. Very nice coins. I am slowly getting my dansco filled. Do you have any extra coins for sale by chance?
Very cool collection and love the video type wish there were more videos like this. It's either type sets with mostly good or below coins or a collection video with all cheap newer coins. You ever get into the barber dimes or quarters? Or have u thought about making those sets also?
hey buddy, I'm trying to put this set together now. I put the Morgan's, peace dollars and Indian heads together and think these are super cool...im probably at around 20/73 but I definitely need more of the 98p and down( have a 98s and 93s which was a cool find in my book). if you have any extras from collecting like I'm running into....would you let me know please. Thank you sir. Awesome video!!

Do you think Barber coins are not very popular to collect. I was thinking they were unpopular and that made the prices lower even though the mintage figures are low. I have been collecting barber coins more than any other coin because I was thinking it was a good investment. Do you think it is especially a good investment? Or just about the same as any coin you learn about and buy.
Thanks for the questions! Yes, Barbers are not one of the more popular US coin series. That does play a role in keeping prices low despite their scarcity (the principle of supply and demand). No coin or series is guaranteed to appreciate in value - and anyone who says otherwise is just speculating. Do I personally think Barber coins are undervalued? Yes - but I’m obviously biased, lol. What really matters is whether the coin market as a whole feels that they should be worth more. And there’s no telling if and when that will happen. The best advice I can give is to collect what you enjoy; at least that way, if the coins don’t appreciate in value, you’ll still be glad you bought them. Thanks for watching!
Thanks very much - super interesting to see a full collection of "real" coins.
Awesome job love all thanks

I just completed my Barber Half Dollar set. But all my coins are well circulated. Fair to Good at best. Your set is awesome. Nice video.
Great video. Much tougher to complete than my Dansco 7070 or Whitman Morgan series.
