I knew you would do the right thing before I watched the video.
I lost my wallet going to my car several years ago. I figured I would never see it again. There were 9 Franklins in the wallet. I called the restaurant but nobody had turned it in. About 15 minutes later I got a call from a young lady telling me she and her dad had found my wallet. Told me where they were and I could come get it. I tried to give her $200 but she and her dad wouldn’t take it. Don’t meet many people like this anymore.
Lived near Tyler for many years. Visited the coin store there and dealt with Carl several times. Good for you doing the right thing!
My old Hungarian toolmaker mentor used to say, “what is coming around, is going around.”
This reminds me of an odd experience in a coin shop two years ago - went in, bought a coin, but was looking at another the owner told me a price (somewhere $210-220 based on a percentage premium away from its melt value) - I walked out without buying that, then on my way home turned around, returned, and buy the coin. Another employee rings me up at about $250 and while I was swiping the debit card I was realizing price was way too high but couldn't remember exactly what the owner quoted me. Back and forth arguing price, owner steps in gives me the look like I'm pulling a scam on his employee, turned out employee read silver's spot price thinking it was gold's (like if silver was 20.00 he read it as gold at 2,000). Employee recalculates and gives me a refund on the difference, but the refund he gave meant I now paid too little, and I point out he refunded too much, and employee disagrees with me claiming it is correct, then I'm thinking how much further do I stand there arguing with him? I said thank you and walked out the door.
That sounds super weird. I bet you've never gone back there.
@@kamoroso94 actually I still go back from time to time. They have very good coin capsules & I'm just fed up trying out different capsules bought online that end up being terrible quality - and every once in a while they have a coin sitting in the display that is priced very well, I'd be a fool to pass it up. Last time in there picked up a 1921 Mexico 2 Peso (the original to the design of their modern libertads) & China 20 cent dragon for a very decent price below comparable listings on ebay.
Thank you for taking the time to edit and make these videos on top of running your business. They are extremely helpful and informative.
The Right thing to do. Good Man you are
This is unspoken in our business. The word is TRUST! This is how dealers know who they can deal with or not deal with. Keep up the good work guys!!!!
Always do what’s right! I agree good lessons! My little guy is 6 years old I hope to pass this mentality to him! 👍🏻
I'm enjoying your videos here and just bought a couple old ANACS type coins from your site.
Absolutely 100 percent make as much money as possible and don’t feel bad when it comes to fellow dealers. I do this all the time at garage and estate sales. If someone misses something and sells it too cheap I can’t pull out my money fast enough and try to keep a straight face
Now if you shake on a deal and there’s a clerical error then yes of course go above and beyond to make things right. I suppose I should have watched the whole video before commenting but yah I stand by my first comment as well
Love those old anacs holders they are very conservatively graded and cool coins .
It’s a shame that cac won’t sticker them . That is okay because those coins that I received from you are beautiful.
Very happy customer 🎉 7 stars ⭐️
Always do the right thing.
Hell yes you should do the right thing.
Depends on the person u bought it from. If they are the type to take advantage of every opportunity then I wouldn’t worry about it.
FOR THE VIEWERS.........I've just made a deal with Drew today, and he is very fair to work with. He made me a very reasonable offer. Hope to work with him more in the future!
love those holder but they had a lot inexperanced graders at that time got to be carfullwith those
enjoy watching
Great job Acousha guys. You do a nice job of presenting interesting coins, and speaking from your heart about your thoughts related to various aspects of the hobby/business.
I was looking for three certain coins and the dealer said they could bring them in from their other store and gave me a price. I was told they would have the in a day or two and they would call me when they have them in. After a couple of days I hadn’t heard back so I called and I was told the person at the other location was out sick and when they got them they would call. So a week later I dropped in and they said yes we have them. But the cost would be higher since spot had gone up. I said you gave me a price and they said you didn’t lock it in.
I do not see the link for Seth.... But just recently found you guys and love the videos
Good stuff thanks
Awesome coins. Thanks for sharing Drew👍
I’ve found two recently and gave both wallets back
I wish more ppl thought like y’all
karma , I'm 100% honest.
You guy’s are good , honest, men of character. We appreciate your life lessons and God will bless you for all the things you do.
Casey knows his "LIBEKTY" variety!! Listen to your brother Drew! Nice video as always.
Integraty is doing the right thing
when you know that no one is looking
I do the same thing even though I'm not in the business if I get i find i wasnt charged for an item or something, I always make it right. We all make mistakes and it'd be great if everyone would look out for one another.
I seriously think I just found the 1943 penny but the 3 at the end looks blurry like maybe it was altered? But could just be old and faded? It doesn’t stick to a magnet either. Can I please email you pics of it to see what you think????
Still never found any of the wheat cent rolls on eBay store or your website I looked from day that video came out and only saw quarter rolls but no wheat vent tools or the steel cent rolls I hate when dealers show crap they bought but have no intention to sell to public just don’t show it at all makes zero sense at all it would be same as person showing them a big coin collection for half price but just showing it to you not going sell it ti you my dealer buddy wants it
Where do you have your coins listed. I’d like to buy some coins
Really like soapboxes.
Nice. Feel the same way. Kudos Trust faith God and if that must. Karma
I'd rather do the right thing and not be disappointed by the guy I see in the mirror at the end of the day.
It's called KARMA and it's 1,000% real!
>>>>KARMA
Great move!
KARMA is real. I'm glad you did the right thing.
I’m all for it man, but you really called the guy cause you over paid him and said it was the right thing to do? Now if the collection is sub 5k value sure I get it. Anything more than that, it’s not the right thing. Great video tho.
