Hello Matt, Something I had never thought of before came to me today. Lizzie on the crew at these jobs helps put at ease young women who need help but fear a bunch of strange men. Best effort I participated in was towing a converted truck (bus body on rear) and the 20x 17 year olds (that had been passengers until the driver failed his double declutch to first gear) were on 2 tow ropes out front pulling the truck up an icy gravel mountain road to a glacier.... until we got to the hut..... made the tourists' day...
Yep, because sometimes it's not really "stuck" in the literal sense; it just has less traction than it needs to start moving. Give it a little help to get moving, and it will move. I've driven in clay mud; it's like grease. If it's not deep, and it often isn't, you don't sink and get "stuck," but you have nearly zero traction unless you have very suitable tires.

You're not heinously stuck until you have to crawl out your window because the mud has the lower half of your doors pinned and your front bumper is firmly planted against a granite wall under the mud... Such as that only time my 2000 Silverado (aka, 'Tiny') has ever been stuck. BTW, Yankee Lake in Ohio near Pennsylvania is a lot of fun! Look then up if you like to play in mud.
The mud itself is heinous; when it gets a top coat like that, it's like trying to drive on greased cement-the smooth kind, like you find in a garage. Traction is near zero unless your tires are really good, and even then, Rudy illustrated how slippery it is when he slid across it and turned the vehicle 180. But was he really heinously stuck? Nah. I imagined a much worse stuck when he said that, and then saw his stuck and realized that he is a city guy with no basis for comparison. :)

When was this filmed? The Van recovery looks like spring
Morr in the Morning! Man, Matt makes it look so easy!
When the guy in the Tacoma said they were most heinously stuck in the mud. I thought " no way dude! Bogus!"
An odious and abominable description of their weak sauce stick.
