    There's a two hour drive one way (so fuel and time), multiple crew members, late night call on the weekend, and the recovery itself. These rescues cannot be cheap! Good stuff.

      Must have been over 500 bucks easy.

    • @gregparrott
      @gregparrott 3 роки тому +9

      @@SuperReviews4you The logistics say $500 is too low. There are 3 and possibly 4 on salary, a 4 hour of drive time covering 210+ miles, first loading a trailer with the Morrvair and connecting the trailer to the F-250, unloading the Morrvair at the jobsite, driving out to find the customer, perhaps an hour spent freeing two trucks and re-attaching a camper, reloading the trailer with the Morrvair after the job was done, unloading the trailer back home and detaching the trailer, a weekend service, a late night service.
      $500 won't cover 3 to 4 people, at least 6, likely 7 hours total, 2 vehicles + trailer, over 210 miles. And then there's the free T shirt and a smile from Lizzy :)

      In Nj i wouldve charged on the low 700, high 1000-1100+, depending on recoveries, $5/mile there $2/mile back and the actually cost of recovery... and i do it alone, you dont need a crew to do what they are doing, Dont get me wrong sometimes you do need help from another Most of the time these recoveries are Solo, but considering its being filmed it makes it way more enjoyable, than watching 1 person talk to themselves lol I hope youtube is compensating matt good this way he can keep cost to a minimal but still make good $

Drainage rock on the other hand, has smooth edges that is almost impossible to compact well enough to provide the hard drive able surface that we need. 😎

If you keep on driving like this, you might run over someone. Just think about this for a second. What if you run over a kid because you were taking a call? Could you live with that? Those things cost 50 bucks if you want a decent one. They feature voice commands and everything. They really make your life easier. As someone who is on the road a lot and sees a lot of what can go wrong, I can highly recommend not to skimp out on such an inexpensive piece of gear. It might safe lives, incl. your own.
