Why whom has been un respectful to Pasquale? I have not seen this. He is a fun guy, a great enthusiast whom has opened up new world of cooking for me. Anyone who has been disrespectful to this lovely cook, should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves and must be very sad and unhappy.
When I was a kid I would go to Italy for the summer to visit my grandfather. Isernia Italy. Beautiful place. My cousins and I would play a game called "Strangler di Mezzanotte". The good ol days.

Fresh basil is very much underemployed in North American cooking. It can add to so many dishes! When I assemble a burger, it MUST have at least a slice of tomato and a couple of fresh basil leaves. Some REAL cheese (not processed...) is great with this and on occasion I have sautéed sliced garlic and added that as well. So many simple touches can raise plain, rather bland ingredients into something great... something Italian cooks have been doing all along.
