Actually the reason why you guys failed at the end is for some weird reason Breen's escape pod did not fall down after Timble destroyed the portal but instead it accelerated upward and that still counts as Breen successfully escaping.
Edit: well it did fall but for some reason it bounced back up

I don't play lego dimensions but I bought the portal 2 level pack just for the Chell minifig. Wish lego made more valve stuff, a lego HL2 muscle car with Gordon, Alyx, Vort and Chompski would be lit.
This mod is so cool looking. I notice the developers changed the minifigs from stock body pieces to custom designs, so I hope they keep working on it. I'd love to see it with fully brick-ified Combine Vehicles and Aircraft.

Freeplay is unlocked after every chapter, though. Unless you mean buying the necessary characters like Alyx since her multitool is needed for certain panels.

The game hasn’t gotten less atmospheric. I just think we’ve all just gotten faster and therefore less capable of appreciating the game’s fine details.
I think it’s actually because Gmod doesn’t play some of the map’s effects properly

They have changed some lighting and effects over the years but it's very subtle stuff so yeah, it's probably just because we've played the game so many times and can practically speedrun through it, we're seeing it more and more as a scripted game, it's broken some of the immersion if that makes sense.
