A playthrough of HL2 "Undercharged" might actually be interesting, especially if the mod-makers put in the effort to include unusual solutions to bits of the game in the absence of items, weapons, pieces of map geometry etc. that's usually there by default. Also that VHS filter looks surprisingly cool imo!

Half Life 2 Undercharged: no NPC's, no weapons and all the maps are empty
And the ending is just a game crash
like those intentionally low quality "liminal space" garrys mod maps but with story progression.

thats sorts like the gmod maps where they recreate hl2 maps to see what they looked like before the combine
This is like getting a bunch of those realism addons for GMod and playing through the Half-Life 2 maps with them on
Except those mods are actually good.

The start of the realism set up feels like a Wii/ light gun shooter
It felt more like the Wii CoD games, or the original 2 Arma games (i.e Operation Flashpoint and Arma: Armed Assault)
"Half Life 2 but Good" mod where it desaturates all colors, implements 2 weapon limit, regenerating health, & all the music is Breaking Benjamin

3:47 I remember when I player Half-Life: 2 Episode 1 the first time I got that missing texture thing. So it's probably not the mod, but the engine itself for not finding the overlay texture, but it could also be that the devs forgot to pack it in or something.

They should add overcharged Gravity Gun as a setting, I don't see a lot of Half-Life 2: Overcharged in here
Effectively pulling a SMOD move there. For starters, SMOD also had the Strider cannon as a usable weapon utilizing the GG viewmodel. That alone should make Overcharged *a bit* more fun at least.

I actually like the idea of color filter presets, some games do have those purely for cosmetic appeal, but I think I'd rather have that as a feature to MMod or vanilla.

Gordon doing ballerina spits all over the place and destroying everything is truly the best addition this mod has.
The Devs don't understand what Aiming deadzone does. In games like UNRECORD or Insurgency, it just gives you a little more movement with your gun before you turn your character, that's it.
There are few games that did high aiming deadzone well. The original Operation Flashpoint and Armed Assault are the only games that come to mind.
These patches are well...overcharging my mind, but can we get Half-Life 2: Undercharged too?
