Besides, this is a rivalry with who we call the Hated Ones. Gloating is fine. Them gloating in our faces is fine as well. Do you think they haven’t gloated enough with their World Series Rings? I'm from N.Y.C. and was a tour guide telling the tourists the story of both teams. I took them to where the Polo Grounds and Ebbets field was. I also took them to where the Dodgers wanted their new stadium to be. Even though the Dodgers moved to LA, the name Dodgers still belongs to New York. You see in order to get to Ebbets field, the fans had to cross trolley tracks. Sometimes when the trolley was coming, they would run and dodge the trolleys, hence the name Dodgers was born.
I literally came to the comments section to complain about Yaz and Slater, and the first topic was about those bozos. Yaz and Slater need to never play ever again I was done with those guys 3 years ago.

6:00 Dodger fan here... wanted to take a moment to put some respect on the point being made here. When you're up against an organization like the Giants face in their division (just as the Red Sox did with the Yankees during the time period referenced) you don't get the luxury of typical patience and transactional grades. You have to be in on everything, every player, every option, if not to at least disrupt the other team from getting anything they want. Having to go to to toe with the Yankees, and making the decision in the front office to not give an inch on anything, is what really broke the curse and took the Red Sox over the Yankees. I definitely don't want to see the Hated Ones do that, and I'm not too worried as long as Farhan is running things, but it's a great observation!

The Dodgers are doing what the Giants did when they had one of the biggest payrolls in baseball. Have to also tip my cap to the most terrifying Giant of that era: Bochy. Did he retire? Yes. Did he come back and win a 4th ring with the Texas Rangers? Yes he did. You had one of the greatest managers in the history of baseball.
Biggest Difference? Mookie Betts, Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman.
Mookie Betts is amazing. If you saw him, you mining not think he was a professional athlete. But he’s good at everything.

I believe he was traded prior to the NL DH being implemented. He can't play the field. He wouldve been DH last couple of years but Ohtani is the DH now most nights.
