Fun fact: The swim charge fins generate power faster than the Seaglide can use power, allowing you to use the Seaglide indefinitely and making it a mobile battery cell charger. Turning off the Seaglide's map and light makes the battery charge even faster. Definite S tier in my opinion.
Useful tip for sure!! But you can complete the game without it, that's why I didn't give it an S. It is true though, it is a useful mobile batter charger.
I agree with most of your placements here (which is a first for me watching any tier list, lol). I will say that the grav trap has also been very useful to me in the lost river. I'll usually go down there with my seamoth to collect what I need to upgrade my prawn suit before I'll take the prawn down (and generally get stuck down there, lol). I'll either take the propulsion cannon or the grav trap with me, depending on my mood, but either can grab crystalline sulfer through the brine without me having to take damage. And the stasis rifle is more than just peace of mind against leviathans. These days, I always use my prawn to go to the deep grand reef degasi base, but back when I wasn’t so good at spider-manning around, I went in my seamoth. Swim beside the seamoth, shoot the stasis rifle at your own feet, and there you go: a bubble of safety to protect your precious vehicle from nasty crabsquids who might try to destroy it while you're inside. I would also park directly beside the base so I could redo it without having to rush back out when it wore down. The only other ones I'll mention are the air filter and the flare. Both are tools I never used before modding the game, but with the deathrun mod, the air filter and pipes become S-tier and for me, at least, the flares were super useful because early batteries are not rechargeable and things cost more resources to make, so I couldn't afford a flashlight/torch in the early game, so blinding was better than no light at all. 😅 Anyway, great video! I enjoyed your take!
Thanks so much! I learn so much from comments haha. I probably should have specified that the list is intended for the first run, when everything is new and advanced techniques are about 100 hours of gameplay away 😂 But that is the magic of Subnautica, just so many ways to approach the game, and being inventive is often rewarded. Really glad you enjoyed it 🙏
Charge Fins keep seaglider charge at 100% fulltime, curious that you're a seaglider advocate and missed this. You could even use the seaglider as a portable charger for the batteries of your other tools
24:53 the tether tool should have been in A tier, here is why.. In below zero once you finally make Alan a new body, he teleports to outpost zero and unlike the first game where there were teleporters in the primary containment facility, which took you to multiple important biomes, in below zero there is no teleporter, which means you have to climb your way all the way out of the crystal caves and then once you get out of there, you need to go to outpost zero however there is no teleporter that goes to outpost zero… This is where the tether tool comes in before you head out to the fabricator facility to create Alan’s new body make a second seatruck cabin and only attach the teleportation module then just park the sea truck at outpost zero and there you go you have a teleporter from the fabricator cavern to zero
You can explore most of the Aurora and can get the Neptune Rocket blueprints without the propulsion cannon *EASILY* so I’d give the propulsion cannon at best, B
The propulsion cannon is entirely optional for beating the game as there is a second entrance for the Aurora, meaning you can get the Neptune rocket, and not essential, but, there is a ledge above the entrance to Cargo Bay 3, I explored most of the Aurora without a propulsion cannon, even fixing the drive core
I don’t think I used the propulsion cannon at all in my play through, I don’t remember how I got on the aurora but I remember a door blocked by fire so I used the extinguisher to get in
There are boxes covering the entrance, you can upgrade the propulsion cannon to the repulsion and knock them aside? They need to be moved somehow, though. Sounds like you didn’t do that either… how curious 🤨
@@milkedcow5299 there's a second entrance, way up high and over a bridge of debris, by the admin office and cargo bay that doesn't need a propulsion cannon. It is useful to have it to get into the cargo bay, but you can parkour around the stuff in the way, unlike the other entrance. You probably got in through there. *edit, nvm, I misread your comment as a question, lol
@@bucketofsunshine6366 You know I think they inteded you to have the Propulsion Cannon to enter that way, but now you mention it, with a whoooole load of jumping and abusing the game's physics, I think you can, that's right. Maybe it's an S- 😂

love the greenscreen, really cool!
What do you mean green screen? He is actually in a subnautica base.
This is so handy!! Thanks for the tips and guide 😁

Liked the video!!!!
I boarded the aurora without the propulsion cannon, idk how 💀
Not sure, maybe a heck of a lot of jumping and wiggling 😄

haha nice greenscreen!
Thanks man!! Took a few attempts, I was quite pleased with the result - hoping to get more use out of it moving forward 😀
you guys actually use the seaglide!? I didn't think too many people used it, I don't.
that’s mentally ill behavior
Bro plays on slow mode
u need laser cutter to get rocket blueprint
Bro really stole a sea glider from Subnotica
