Yes it’s possible in my experience but it takes placing a LOT of air pipes, building many bridges, and a lot of patience. I ended up making paths out of light sticks to get to important areas. I used the portable pumps to generate heat on the fly. The hardest part was getting in and out of the mining site, I ended up making a staircase out of air pipes…. Propulsion cannon is IMO necessary for getting resources efficiently off of walls. There’s also an exploit with climbing onto unbuilt solar panels iirc. I did a playthrough to make sure my mod was possible

According to this, you could theorically go into the limits of the map, enter into the -9999 meter depth water and use the water for constructing the vehicles (or maybe something more) I also really appreciate that great music at 9:32 :v
Prawn is way better on land than Snowfox. Spend a few minutes learning how to launch with the grapple and your mobility becomes crazy. You can even pretty easily get on top of land you're not supposed to. It's also super tanky and can kill the bears in two seconds.

I recommend getting the Prawn Suit if you can, 'cause unlike the first game, it's actually OP on land. I never even built a Snowfox in my first playthrough, because the Prawn Suit was already great. Hell, it's even useful for Skyriming your way on top of the big glacier walls if necessary. I even managed to get mine to Maida's Greenhouse by jumping from iceberg to iceberg after doing this.

The building out of a cave plan reminds me of when I got my prawn suit stuck in the jellyshroom caves in the original game without the grabbing hook or jump upgrade, and ended up building a bunch of corridors to jump onto so I could get out. I imagine it's a lot more painful on foot compared to prawn suit in water.
I got my prawn stuck in a hole due to the weird geometry outside the rim of the glacial basin. I was contemplating reloading my save even though said save was at my base in the lilly pad islands, When I remembered that unbuilt base peices still had collision so I built a ladder out of I-corridors and managed to get it out of that hole. Truly the happiest I felt playing this game.

I made a new discovery, at last for myself. If you ride a snowfox and you fall, it doesnt matter how high you fall with it. As long as you don't move you'll be fine. This helps me a lot. Also I love your videos, keep it up

When playing this "normally", I used a combination of the prawn suit grappling arm to glitch-fling myself skyward as well as the ability of incomplete foundation pieces to somehow be solid enough to walk on despite not actually existing. By grappling to something up high and walking in various directions, the grappling hook seems to pull with a lot more force. I built a couple of bases on the ledges overlooking the ice worm areas that way.
so awesome, I cant wait too see this series! also maybe save a sea cluster and make a planter so you can harvest them easier ? if able to or the planters need still work.. and if you know? there is a whole subnautica mod for mine craft! as seen you had a roblox subnautica up
@@TheLastBacon an little confused sry but with phrasing, it a minecraft mod, that turns minecraft into subnautica lol- called Minenautica (it's on curseforge where majority of minecraft mods are)
I think you could go into the cave, scan the fragments that you need and then keep jumping off any elevated surface you can get to, so you would be back at your lifepod with the blueprint. You won't lose any resources you had before the adventure either, as it will keep all things you had last time you entered the lifepod.
for the propultion cannon, you could go down with just a scanner, scan the fragments, then simply die and respawn back at the pod (keeping the blueprint)

Alright so heres a tip for below zero, but of course, SPOILERS! Anyways my tip sounds dumb at first, but its actually super useful. USE THE PRAWN SUIT. This sounds dumb at first, but let me explain it. In the description of the prawn suit, it says its a vehicle for sea AND land, so my tip is yknow that super annoying part where you have to get past the ice worms to get to the cache? Instead of using the annoying bike, just use your prawn suit. It honestly works really well, and the grapple hook physics dont change on land, so you can launch yourself using it. Now you dont have to worry about the cold, or the ice worms because you can just grapple away, or just tank some hits, if it hits you at all.
I feel your pain, once while playing this game I experienced the no water detection glitch and had to walk from delta island to enter the drop pod to fix it, I died many times.

After watching you complete this challenge in the original Subnautica id rather you not torture yourself again to do it in Below Zero They were great videos but they seem like way to much work and we all like you lol
You could also just... Build a single tube with a hatch, and build a fabricator and solar panel, and just build the propulsion Cannon down there. Is what I would have said if there was light deep in the cave. But based on the depth meter, maybe solar panels still work, because it's above 0m?

I love how Riley isn't good on steep ledges but is a better jumper. Robin is good on ledges but sucks at jumping. And both are good at falling great distances! 😅😅
I'm not a dev of subnautica (or any game for that matter), but if I was I would feel extremely excited that players find new ways to use the game's mechanics to make fun challenges like this. I would also hate how broken and cursed these shenanigans are lol

The only issue is that the cannon alone won’t help me and I can’t craft any of the objects that can be used for flying :)

I love how Riley isn't good on steep ledges but is a better jumper. Robin is good on ledges but sucks at jumping. And both are good at falling great distances! 😅😅

I'm not a dev of subnautica (or any game for that matter), but if I was I would feel extremely excited that players find new ways to use the game's mechanics to make fun challenges like this.
