Your character drawings are so gorgeous, but one of the things that really captivates me is how you draw backgrounds! Do you have anything you'd recommend to people who are just starting to draw bgs??

Uuuuh I had a really difficult start into backgrounds, since it took me a loooong time until I stopped avoiding it /skipping it, by just doing simple smokey textured messes of colors instead of trying to make something real-looking. So from my experience, the best recommendation would be: just jump into it. Don't avoid it. The first tries will look bad, yes, but it will get better the more you keep at it.

(they're in a playlist of vids I collect concerning helpful art stuff, so feel free to browse through)
Backgrounds are such a broad subject, so that learning any kinds of fundamentals will automatically help you improve bg's as well. Color theory, values, perspective, shading, composition etcetc.
If you're intimidated, try doing tiny thumbnails from time to time, to ease yourself into it? Doesn't matter if the backgrounds you do look cliché, repetitive, or unimaginative. You shouldn't worry about that when trying to get into smth. As long as you sit down and spend time thinking about how do make something look like a bg, then that's progress you're making!
So if you just feel like drawing 10 slight variations of one mountain as your exercise, then go for it! The only thing you'll need to keep in mind, is to move on to the next challenge once you've gotten comfortable with one type of bg, for example.

One question how do you get your digital artwork to not look pixelated? i have a few different programs and they all are slightly pixelated. beautiful drawing btw!
Atezal Draws try increasing the size of the canvas. The bigger the canvas, the more pixels used to create the image, and the cleaner the look!

You could also increase pixels per inch, I keep mine at around 500 but I’ve seen some people go as high as 1500, it just takes up a lot of memory so you might not be able to use as many layers depending on the program

From what I understand, blocking would only prevent them from commenting on my videos. I asked them to take the videos down for now - but if that goes no-where, the alternative is to issue a copyright complaint :x
@@Remarin Yeah, I'm hoping his channel gets taken down for copyright, considering how many other artist's videos he's reuploaded.
Well, I've just now seen some more indepth descriptions of their activity and it seems that channel takedowns doesn't bother them since they just make a new one :I they're apparently quite infamous for this kinda stuff?
@@Remarin yeah, he's kind of a pest in the art community. this isn't the first youtube account he's made to steal videos. he's had hundreds of account all over the place dedicated to conning artists out of their art and harassing people etc.
