    Love me some nature backgrounds,, really wanted to get the coloring and light-setting right. Though it's still a long way to go before I'm able to simulate the real-life lushness of green. I always tend to go a bit monochrome concerning vegetation.
    Gosh someday man, someday nwn
    Though you might notice me fiddling with a myriad of different brushes before going in and actually adding final greenery details,, and that's simply because I'm still not very familiar with all those various brushes :'3 Haven't really checked what each one does, or how to use them. But I ended up painting in most details anyways and just used some grass brushes and texture brushes.

    I love your art so much, it always looks so professional. It’s just amazing :o, and the amount of time you must spend on these but still be able to make something beautiful is awesome. Keep up the good work!

    You're my biggest inspiration in art, and I remember when I found your speedpaints for the first time, I was amazed. I've followed you for so long, and you've improved so much! Every piece is unique and better than the last, and that's what I love about your art. Every time I see some your art it gives me the serious urge to go start drawing, even in an art block.
    Thank you for not giving up on art, thank you for sharing it with the world. You're my favorite artist, and (most likely) always will be.

    You can try to add some more blue and yellow colors to the background to make it seem more lush! ^^ hue shifting always helps with that!

    • @Remarin
      @Remarin  6 років тому +25

      It's more that I often end up grouping together large portions of an image in the same hues even if I start out with a bigger variety of colors; so for this, it's mostly a yellowish-green and some limited browns. It's the "trying to make everything look like it fits together" taken a bit too far. While trying to make the light setting, and general values look as good as possible, it's often the colors that end up loosing their hue-variation in the process.
      >:0 it's such a delicate balance that needs be upheld between shading and coloring and I still haven't entirely figured out a way to make both work in a flexible manner in my drawing process.
      Like, once the colors of the messy doodle of blobs is set, I usually don't go and add new colors that aren't already on the canvas (except for small details like flowers)
      In the end it's just a set of habits that need to be worked on :'3

      Remarin Yeah I'm sure you'll figure something out! ^^ you could try to use some blue/greenish shading on the figure aswell to pull everything together

    Good god its been 2 years and I am still absolutely in love with this painting of yours. Your work is always outstanding and is always improving but something about this keeps it as my favorite painting from you. Remarin, you really inspire me, and one day one of my goals is to be just as good at art as you. Keep drawing and inspiring others, Rem!❤

    The youtube user "Reposted of dragon Gamez n artz" reposted this speedpaint on their channel and has been stealing people's art for a while. If you could report them, it would help stop it from happening to other people. Great art, by the way!

    One of my most burning questions in life:
    *how does one pronounce this art Jesus's name*
    is it Ree-marr-in, or Rem-Arr-in?

    • @Remarin
      @Remarin  6 років тому +3

      Lolol, I personally think of it as Ré-mar-in ((like, if you type "rémarinne" in French google translate and sound it out, it's the closest I could get it?))
      Though that's how I pronounce it when I'm talking to my fellow Germanic-language speaking people (luxembourgish, german, swedish) when talking in English it's "Reh-marr-in", and in French funnily enough "Reh-mar-en" (like what you'd hear when typed out normally in French google translate.
      But I guess that's simply to make it easier for people to tell what it's spelled like?

  • @haleypaskos3947
    @haleypaskos3947 4 роки тому

    Hey! You probably won't respond to this but I have a question- when doing lineart, I noticed you always start with the eyes. Is there any specific reason for that or just habit?

    • @Remarin
      @Remarin  4 роки тому +4

      It's probably mostly out of habit, but I guess it could be explained in a way; that I try to always pay close attention to detail/accuracy when it comes to eyes. And it's actually a good idea to invest some extra care into the eyes, because those are often the first thing our human brains will focus on when first looking at smth. But I guess it's also just how I've gotten used to rendering faces/heads; starting from the middle and working my way outward. I can't say if it's a good method or not though :I it works for me more often than not, at least

    • @haleypaskos3947
      @haleypaskos3947 4 роки тому

      I see! Thanks for replying! And yeah normally I start with the eyes too, it gets a feel of where everything is I guess. Again, thank you!
