OpenBVE Jubilee Line Phase 2 - North Greenwich to Waterloo | 1996TS

- This is phase 2 of the highly detailed Jubilee Line route that was released a few days ago. This update brings new features and has been quite a challenge driving down towards Waterloo, knowing when to brake and the window for stopping accurately are small. I also added in some announcements at the time of recording for extra realism :)
I hope to upload a video explaining what's new and some driving aids and tips to help the new user with getting started.

Why are some of the sounds in the video different from the download? The key noise, the train operation master switch and door button click all sound different.

Drivers have to yes, usually when they're departing from a terminal station, and at busy peak hours
Do you have any way to get better graphics, mine aren't as good as yours and i know nothing of the topic...
What are your current PC Specs? The computer I used when recording this was:
AMD Athlon Phenom II at 3.00GHZ
Nvidia Geforce GTX 750Ti
8GB RAM
If running this in windowed mode sometimes resizing the window smaller can allow for the game to run smoother than in full screen where it begins to stutter

Once you terminate at West Hampstead, how do you turn the trian around to go South bound back to Stratford
Hello there!
At the present moment there is no Southbound (Eastbound from Westminster) route created at the moment. My guess is the developer is intending to continue Northbound up to Stanmore in stages, then will eventually start on the return. How long? It may likely be some years till we see this. Depending on the team and their direction of things.

@@user-ns4gc6gm1z On the central line you are under ATP control, if you try overspeeding by at least 5kph over the ATP will slow the train back down to the permitted speed. Only way you can really drive without being restricted is to remove the plugin from the train however this is unrealistic and the train may not function as its intended to

Wow ,I was wondering when the next phase would be finished,and you done a very good job so far,really detailed,good graphics,and realistic sounds,Must have spent a lot of time and effort doing this.I love playing this route one of the best, But I have noticed when I first start off from Stratford the graphics start to jitter,It's ok in the tunnels,Any idea what it could be,Or is it just a glitch that will be sorted ... Thanks
Hiya glad you've enjoyed the video, I agree, the developer done an awesome job in bringing back the era when the Jubilee Line extension was newly built and the trains were manually driven. Regarding the jittering, I'd think it could be the simulator drawing more objects as you travel along the route. There's a lot more objects placed above ground than in the tunnel which likely play a factor to the minor lags you're getting.
1. Why did you set the destination to West Hampstead when the time this route was created, The line only went from Stratford to Waterloo. Only trains from Stanmore to Charing Cross or vice versa would go to West Hampstead. It is impossible to go to West Hampstead on the Stratford to Waterloo line because Westminster station that would connect the 2 branches hasn't been completed yet. Just set it to Waterloo next time.
2. You must always stop so that the window to your left is completely in the green chevron marker and you shouldn't be able to see the arrows.
3. Southwark is not pronounced Suv-ik, it's Suv-ook.
1. I'm making the videos follow the route progress as it is being developed in stages. Although you are correct at the time both sides of the line were not "connected" at the time and the manual clearly shows it, I wasn't being realistic there but I believe the next phase (Phase 3) goes slightly forward in time to when the lines connect and is being done up to maybe West Hampstead I hear but I'm hoping to continue where I left off once that releases eventually. Hope that makes sense.
2. You should yes, however there are stopping tolerances within the stop area. Sometimes stopping slightly outside the green or just before the green within arrow limits is fine. You'll know when you're within limits of the stopping point as the "Accurate Stop" light will illuminate enabling you to open the doors. I've driven the real thing before under the eye of the instructor operator just prior to the commissioning of TBTC on these units. Even with the TBTC system in ATO I noticed the train tends to stop within the arrow area sometimes just before the green or slightly just after, not always bang on in the green area.
3. However you pronounce it mate, I tend to say "Suth -uuk" but I have a southerly accent anyway.
I believe phase 3 is near completion. I saw a few pics of Swiss Cottage and St Johns Wood stations and the developers are also working on a 1967 stock for what I believe is for the Victoria line. Though they did say that the line on phase 3 may only run from Swiss Cottage to Charing Cross or Bermondsey. I guess we'll have to wait for the entire line and hopefully ATO.

@@cyberknue1598 realism to a degree 😋 Phase 3 isn't going in the opposite direction, it is continuing Northbound.
