      @@ATFprdepartmentas half as sharp as a sphere? Because the spherical shape penetrates as is. And I think it even deforms a decent amount into idek what shape when getting shot out and flying as is as well lol.

    • @ATFprdepartment
      @ATFprdepartment 7 місяців тому +5

      @@Puppy_Puppington that’s the joke, a ball isn’t sharp, it’s completely smooth. As for deformation, the joke isn’t supposed to be that deep, but since you’re wondering I’m going to go on an autistic tirade about musket balls
      Musket balls are spherical, yes. However muskets are smooth bore, no rifling (RIFLES have rifling, it’s a small difference but a significant one). Although there’s no rifling or grooves to deform the ball that way, a musket ball is typically VERY slightly larger than the diameter of the rifle (it’s lead, so it squishes in there with the ramrod very easily), this is to make sure the ball doesn’t fall out the end like a golf ball in a Pringle’s can and to provide a better seal when the powder ignites in the barrel during firing.
      So there’s plenty of deforming of musket balls even before they’re fired due to their size and being made of lead, which is a pretty damn brittle material.
      If you’re any more interested in what a musket ball does after being fired or when hitting a person, GarandThumb made a fantastic video analyzing it

    So, several years ago, I played Black Flag. I made it all the way to the events at 1:20:00 in this video, then my game crashed and my save file was wiped clean for unknown reasons. As a result, I can say that while this is one of the most enjoyable Assassin's Creed games to play, It is also the only one I will probably never finish.

    The whole Aita part went over my head! I completely forgot about that from the previous game and just ignored it when Roberts said it, thought he was just hearing voices and acting crazy, although I do think the game should have emphasized Aita's significance more, this explains that entirely thank you for these videos they really explain all those little details, now the modern day story line makes a tad bit more sense,

    I love how this game incorporates it's protagonist into the historical setting in a plausible way. The Jackdaw for instance was a brig stolen from the doomed Spanish Treasure Fleet of 1715, considering the whole convoy was lost it's very possible that some escaped prisoners jacked one of the ships, we can never know either way.
    The pirate genre is so underutilized in gaming that this was a massive breath of fresh air. The vibrant Caribbean open world was a pleasure to explore, captaining my own ship never gets old, the characters were charismatic and very human, the story was and is amazing.
    Now I need to play through this game again.

    My favorite story to tell about playing this game is the fight with Roberts. I’m reality, he had been killed by a chain shot. Not knowing this at the time, I actually killed him with a chain shot the first time I played it. The game transported me to the cutscene that plays after, without me having to board the ship. I’ve never been able to replicate the act, as it seems I managed to hit a high wave just right in order to shoot him.

    The new games make me so sad, there's really no philosophy in their writing. These games were about humanity and humility, and it's just not there anymore. We saw flashes of it with Mirage, but it's just not the same. Basim isn't entirely human OR particularly likable either, so that probably doesn't help.

I think about it just like when the producer of an artist tells him that he needs to create his music under certain standards, lenght and including specific sounds so the songs can be played in the radio for having a pop structure which will guarantee success. I really admire those musicians who are loyal to their own music and keep doing 6+ minutes songs, trying new and different sounds, rythms and instruments regardless what could bring them more money, listeners or success. Editing, recording, and writting in order to create your videos is a hard work. It is an art work for me, and you are a great artist. My favorite AC game. Many people (including me) before playing it can ask how hard AC fan can say Black Flag is his fav with such unortodox thematics, but it really has everything.

    Amazing. I literally just thought “Man, I wonder if there’s a video explaining the story of Black Flag for my monkey brain. And it was uploaded 15 hours ago… what timing!”

    I love that this story video on AC4 included a deep dive into the psyche of the characters. Great work! Definitely rewatching this in the future

    I've finished this game at least 2 times and know the story. Yet the way you present it here is very entertaining. Really love how you spliced together different parts of gameplay and cut scenes to tell the story.

    Awesome video. Still feel the worst story driven decision Ubisoft made was killing off Desmond… oh what could have been.

    Have you considerd creating a £1 teir for your patrion? I (like many others) love your vidios and want to suport you but dont have a reliable sorce of income. I mean ffs i'm 15 I get paid £5 an hour for 5 hours on a Saturday it's basicly dalight robory 😂 - I'm laughing but I'm crying inside. But if there were a lower teir with only one or two perk I'd happily pay it. ❤
