Your voice and storytelling are something extremely rare. Honestly, it's one of the best literary analysts I've watched in a long time! Keep up the amazing work.
Wow, thank you so much!
Agreed. I love listening to these when I work, even though I already know the story of the series
Rare?
It's kinda ironic that Shay cares so much for innocent lives because Rogue is one of the games where you can kill civilians without penalty/desynchronization
Its a pretty great twist. Is this the first appearance in which the series punishes through hunter NPCs instead of desync?
Im thinking it could be because of Lisbon, a permanent traumatic marker in the genetic memories that makes a haze of anyone he kills from that moment forward
@@tucan9111 That's pretty clever. it reminds me of some different animus notes in Syndicate: because most people tune-out when they're travelling, those genetic memories have hazy spots too. Possibly an explanation for Fast Travel
The quality of content, the pacing and the presentation. Patient wolf is out here setting standards for these types of video.
I can't get enough of these story videos. The narration and editing is netflix quality. You deserve a million views per video man!
Yo it's cool to see you in the comments cause I watch you to
your assassins stories are narrated a billion time better than the actual movie of this franchise
You mean the movie with fassbender? You're mistaken. There is no movie, just like there's no Batman and Robin or Ghostbusters 2016.
Amazing narration as always. One small correction I want to add. Lawrence Washington and James Wardrop were not officially Grand Masters. At that point of time the Colonial Rite of the Templar Order did not yet exist. It was rather weak and was only a prelude to what's to come. As such, it was considered as a merely extension of the British Rite and was completely under control of the British Grand Master Reginald Birch. It was only when Haytham was officially sent to the Colonies by Birch, the Order in the Colonies has become an officially separate Colonial Rite with Haytham Kenway appointed as its first Grand Master.
But pay no mind to me geeking out, lmao, it is a fantastic video! Always nice to listen to your narrations and in depth retelling of the story.
The way you narrate the story is amazing man, you just don't read out the lore, you make it like an actual experience
Downloaded your videos to watch on my plane journey to Thailand in a few hours!
I really appreciate how much work you put in to these videos, i always put time aside to watch these quality videos
I absolutely adore your videos! Some of the best storytelling on UA-cam period!! Love how you added bits of the freedom cry soundtrack into the Adéwalé scenes! Really broke my heart though in rogue when you had to kill him
I liked how different games crossed over with one another. I wish Ubisoft would have stayed with this strategy instead of bouncing around
I played it like 17 times but with youre style of story telling it was a whole new experience❤❤❤
Amazing as usual. I’ve listened to all the stories you’ve told and you do such a tremendous job at pacing, clarity and understanding of the storytelling is outstanding.
Perfection. Only way to describe this depiction of my favorite AC story and lore. Rogue is an unung hero in the AC franchise, providing a bridge between so many other stories. And you laid that bridge out masterfully. Well done, good sir!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Wow, thank you!
And thanks so much for joining as a member. More content on the way soon!
The video was very well made. And you are very smooth and easy to listen to. You made this story so compelling, even if it was a super lame story in reality. It's really just "how do we make a Templar story? Just flip the roles and make the Assassins the usual assholes that we normally make the Templars"
I constantly keep hearing this bullshit take.
"assassin creed rogue is lame because it just flipped the story"
In reality assassin's creed rogue is one of the games that actually brought the supposed grey area to the war between the assassins and templars. In previous games it was non-existent. Only Ac revelation, Ac 3 and a little bit of ac 1 has this three dimensionality. The rest are just one dimesionsal portrayal of two factions that are made up of cold blooded killers.
@@Rengokuo4o6it's not just that, the actions of the assassins in this game make no sense, they completely disregard their Creed, I theorize that in truth the Templars may have frame the Assassins while also to the Assassins framing Shay Cormac, it makes some sense to it.
1:09:26 Joke’s on them. I just became the perfect spy for the assassins embedded in the Templar Order, with them falsely believing Shay’s story swayed me.😝
Game companies should hire you to tell their stories. You are doing a better job at communicating with gamers than they are! In addition to this, your narration is very engaging. Keep up the good work!
Well done man, this video is a masterpiece 👏👏 perfectly summed up the story in such an awesome way using everything from the game like cutsceens, and quotes right out of the campaign. Pacing is perfect
Being an AC fan, I am sincerely awed by the quality of your work. The content is well-paced and its never boring. I have watched the entire AC lore thrice already and I still find something new when I watch it.
Keep up the great work, man! One should learn the art of storytelling from you. Please drop AC unity and the rest as soon as possible! Thanks ❤
Fun fact : in the French version, Otso Berg is voiced by the same comedian who voices Morgan Freeman
Absolutely love the content. Binged through the full series in one day
I love your narration, I have trouble keeping up with games stories because I am usually distracted by many other things like when I played ac Unity I had no clue what was going on however now that i'm playing Rouge and watching your vid side by side I am fully invested in Shay's story and his journey through the 7 years war. Thank you PatientWolf
I can not believe how great you've made these videos. I put the first on to kill some time, and ended up watching your AC vids for 5+ hours, came back today to finish this one. Your writing story telling gets better with every episode, I can't wait for the next one!
the story is so well told youd think that ThePatientWolf would be a perfessional in fact he is
the detail, the quality all of it is so well done
loving the AC storys
please keep up the great work🐺
The editing of this video is nothing short of masterful.
It’s made me enjoy the story even more than I did when I played the game.
The narration blends really well to give Shay’s story garvitas
So good man. Love it
What Shay Patric Cormac always mend to me is that people who love you can be hard on you. People who don't don't have to be, if you trust them anyway
Brilliant yet again, keep up the good work.
awesome narration and contextualization of the story. also i appreciate the video editing where you make it so that the in-game assassination somewhat coincide with the cutscene that follows. improves the immersion quite a bit.
Can't wait to watch the next one!
Amazing I cant wait for the next part
Been waiting on this one
Honestly I love these videos honestly the way u describe the story is so good I’ve said before I think I’ve watched most episodes has got to be at least 3 times over I just can’t get enough of them
That's so awesome man! thank you!
@@ThePatientWolf keep up the good work u deserve it 👍🏻
One of the best ong, so easy to understand and quick to explain
I found the channel only today from the Black Flag video, and I'm absolutely loving the content.
Thank you for this video. I have played every Assassin's Creed game so far, and this was my favourite one
Bless you!
I have a new respect for this story. With your narration it seems more of a full story, it makes better sense. I might play it again, for maybe the 5th time.
ThePatientWolf once again doing God’s work. Long time fan my man, keep up the great stories🫶🏼
Its a bit late, but your voice and storytelling is supurb, and your literary analysis is phenomenal.
Please consider doing a video on Assassin's Creed Syndicate or Valhalla eventually
Your analysis on Evie Frye or Eivor would be very welcome
You are the best at what youre doing brother ❤
Everybody remember to drop a like and comment for this beast of a creator!!!! Ty for another story
You do very Good Work
Greetings from Albania
You are amazing at storytelling. that ending. Oh my God you just turned the game into a movie. Or a podcast you should make this into a podcast.
Wow! You are a natral! Your storytelling is brilliant, what an amazing video to an already a great story, i bet my neighbor heard my clapping after that may the father of understanding guide us :D
Can’t wait for Unity and Origins!
I hope you go viral buddy
Definitely the AC game that makes you think the most critically about the narrative
They did such a good job at making us understand shays conversion
The Morrigan, A good name
But ThePatientWolf is a very close second
I Really like the Documentary. Much better then HBO's
I also love how Shays hair was shaggy while an assassin, yet he carried himself with more dignity when he found his place. They should have included him in Unity
Unity when bro? 6 months and counting?😅
Keep up ur great work bro. I didn't even noticed the stories of AC games while playing as I was focused on playing but watching ur videos made this experience a complete one indeed❤️
Not for a good few months yet :( Sorry.
Playing through rouge rn, can’t wait to watch this video then
Love these. Just out of curiosity, you ever thinking on going back to doing gameplay videos again?
55:08 En aalu monaliso padhala added those tears 😢
When you said "May the father of understanding guide us" .... I got chills
I love when you post...I'm looking forward to unity
Shay is such a interesting character and it could be argued that he had doubts about the assassin order even before the earthquake since the other assassins dont respect shay and his abilities or opinions and dont tell him important information even tho he's a member of their order
It was painful having to kill Adewale.
Even though the games after ac revelations were a bit iffy, you gotta love the intricate stories Ac3 through rogue put out
Can you please do the newer ones? Origins, odyssey, Valhalla, and Maroge? I don’t have time to play them because of my family life. I love listening to these videos going to and from work!!
He's going in order so next is Unity then I think Syndicate then Origins and so on
I was just wanting to watch a video on rogue bought the remaster after years. Then my favorite content creator :D
You are the greatest it’s gonna be really sad when this seires end
These are fantastic! A couple other good storyline videos could be the Deus Ex series and the Bioshock series
You just made me actually like the story of the AC game I hated the most. Your storytelling is amazing!
4 months..and still waiting on unity 😢
I love the ending 🤣
I can’t be doing with Shays story. He’s too noble to be a Templar. Shay’s story is just Absertgo messing with the memories of the Subject they took the DNA from. They even tried to manipulate Connor’s memories for Abstergo Entertainment to make him an evil and bitter man. I wouldn’t be surprised that it turned out Shay Cormac was a right bastard!
They don't know enough about Shay to mess with his memories. That's the main point of the story right? to figure out who he was. Shay also has to be the most empathetic character in AC series, his empathy extends to a point of being a doormat for assassins and then he finally has enough after the earthquake. It's logical for this forced "good" character to do everything in his power to prevent assassins from taking the artifacts.
@@2jqejh19 We don't know how long they had Shay's descendants DNA for. End of the day Shay just doesn't do it for me. There's just to much nobility from a Templar. It's like when Haytham shot Achilles, Haytham is a stone cold killer, there's no way he would show that amount of mercy.
What order should I watch these in please!!
Great video as always can't wait for your video on Unity and I would love for you to cover The Watch Dogs trilogy which consists of Watch_Dogs Watch_Dogs 2 and Watch Dogs Legion
Man I missed you.
We need the unity story now please!
Amazing work! Been waiting for you to do unity for too long! Cant wait till its dropped!
Could u pls do vid on the whole Max Payen game lore
Are you doing ALL the AC games? Bc I forgot how many AC games thete were and I seen you missed some. Love the series tho!
I love your videos.
I’m mad Achilles aged like bread lol
We need more templar games
I love, love , love these videos. But this one made me glad I skipped Rogue. 🤪 Great job on this video, though. Love @thepatientwolf !
i would love to point out that entire plot of rogue hinges on shay not being able to calm the hell down through entire sail from portugal to american colonies
and had he NOT barged through the door yelling like a idiot, achilles would have to at least listen to him
and maybe realize that what they want to collect is not pieces of eden
Truly my gta fan fiction connects the assassins creed as not only a historical open world genre unique to the rest of the other game series but this could’ve been set in the gta universe and it’s focused on the eternal assassins Templar war.
17:45 you really just gone sail past the loot? - My only gripe with this video hahahaaa
And I was here playing like I don't have time for the story I am busy doing pirate things
That's such a coincidence, I have been going through AC games that I have skipped, I just finished AC 3 and now Rogue, I really liked the story of this game. Really nice perspective of the other side that we are fighting against. Though Shay does not have as much personality as Edward, he was still way more fun than Connor could ever ber
This story was so emotionally devastating of what became of the colonial assassins
Waiting for Valhalla.... How huge's gonna that be
The next revolution is one of the most underated games in the series
Sooooo will u do one on ac nexus it would make sense and be amazing it kinda like after mirage and it first person so instead of playing them u would live as them be more able to take story telling way deeper
Also make videos on Crysis game stories....
a sailing ship cannot refuel.... I think he meant "restocked"
Toppings
Hi how long until unity is out ?
I can’t wait for ac unity
Does Adewale have white hands or is it just his gloves
Please do Prince of Persia
i never understood its story
@@sussybussin5152 its interesting one ✅
Assassin‘s creed unity oh boy I have to say I’m not excited about this one The only thing I’m gonna say is miss opportunity of 3 characters 2 characters we are hoping to see but didn’t and the third one who has a revenge story that goes sadly nowhere but that’s all I’m gonna say so, good luck keep up the good narration.
I’m excited for unity
When can we expect the assassin's creed unity video
When is the next video???
Finaly
You should make a Ghost of Tsushima video
When is the origins coming?
I really like your videos. Im just always confused why theres always a premiere for videos that are ready and uploaded. Is it for the peak watch time?
Just to alert the masses so people who are let’s say busy can see that it’ll be uploaded soon and get ready and also it just serves as an extra notification for those who watch the content
This is a release to the general public. Before today, it was only available to those who had a paid membership.
Overlooked red dead revolver.
