  • Hi Beautiful People! Welcome back to a new video. As shared in my recent mid-week vlog, I had to pause my raw vegan journey due to my digestive health. This gave me an opportunity to truly listen to my body and do what is right for me. In this video I am sharing some of the meals I've been enjoying to help get things back on track as well as resources and information I've learned through research. I do not have chronic digestive issues as this has been a one-off experience and I am feeling much better now!
    Please note that the information shared in this video is not medical advice. It is simply what I've researched and wanted to share. I am not a professional so if you deal with chronic or several digestion and gut related issues, please see a doctor or continue doing what your doctor has recommended.

    I tried the raw vegan diet by day 14, I was in the hospital. I was so excited bc I lost so much weight and I felt so light. I’m not sure how all these ppl that say they’ve been doing it for years stay healthy. I need that secret!

      I tried it for one week and never again. So i have decided to do it twice a week instead. Does it wk, in my opinion, yes. U can still eat what u want if ur a vegetarian or vegan, just pick two days u want to do ur raw vegan foods. Just not every day.

      I'm doing better! Thank you!!! My potassium levels dropped so low I couldn't function. The ER doctor said I could've died if I didn't come in! That's a good idea to try a couple days a week! I felt amazing on it until everything went left. Don't get me started on the inability to use the toilet & the pain from that! I wanted to make it The whole 90 days, but never again!!!

      Everyone's body is not the same. That's one thing that they kept drumming into my head in nutritional courses. Everyone is an individual. What works for one client doesn't necessarily work for the next one. Eating raw doesn't do bad things to my digestive system. I am hungry all day. I can eat some a lot of raw but I definitely need cooked healthy food with no oil. I dance the same way when I eat something tasty.

      If you were in the hospital that fast I'm guessing you were probably not eating enough and/or had an electrolyte imbalance. Probably both, eating enough is very important on any diet.

    The people chiming in about your health, I would take with a grain of sand. Everyone’s experience is different just like you can find people who have had negative experiences on the raw vegan lifestyle you’re going to find equal number of people who have had positive experiences at the end of the day it’s up to each one of us to do our due diligence and by all means listen to your body. 😅On another note, I think I stated in an earlier comment that I was transitioning into a raw diet. Probably 80/20. I was so happy to see that you were throwing your hat in the ring your recipes for cook food I’ve used in the past, so I was so looking forward to how you would be approaching raw recipes. Feel better soon

    Good advice requesting audience NOT to diagnose! I’m an RN for 38 years with lots of “health counseling” experience, and when ppl come to me, I always say the same thing; #1 listen to your body regarding foods and medications, & # 2, seek consultation from your medical provider.
    When we have gut issues, it certainly can be allergies, or something that may require the knowledge of GI specialist! And sometimes, a diagnostic to confirm specific conditions.
    Sooooooo, see your provider is my nursing preference! Especially not knowing the complete medical history of the individual! I love ur channel! Blessings!!

    Come up with two breakfast meals u like two lunches and two dinners one week meal prep one breakfast one lunch and one supper then the next week food prep the other one. Keep that for about a month then see how your gut feels so that as long as you want actually. It gives you more peace and efficiency in life. I suffer with gut issues as well so I know the struggle cook In bigger batches you can easily make things that will help like almond milk coconut milk things that are small slowly weeding out the chemicals from products in the stores I hope this helps you❤

    raw vegan is good for 1-3 days to detox and restart your system, but you have to go heavy on the vitamin supplements, the caloric intake, and you have to make sure you dont burn more than you consume. It's super dicey. I love sticking to whole food plant-based & vegan (along with my vitamins) so my system heals itself instead of crashing on me.

      @@Shakaylafelice You're most welcome 🤗💛 I don't remember it verbatim lol, but I actually mentioned things you're already doing, so 🤷🏽‍♀️ you pretty much got it queen! I know I suggested fermented foods like kimchi and kombucha, and I make my own probiotic pickles but I also will take a Vegan probiotic supplement from time-to-time (but usually just when I'm juice fasting and doing a lot of "cleansing" with enemas and colonics). Oh, and I had included a video of a really well-known raw Vegan and Nutritionist named Shane Sterling just talking about microbiome health while raw Vegan, but you're already on it 😁 You're doing really well and you got this!

    If you don't mind, what's the reason for no longer eating tofu or subbing it with the chickpea? Is it b/c of soy or other factors?

    Kimichi fried rice is good I make it. It’s best not to cook to kimichi just add at the top for maximum benefits- wegmans has a good brand of kimchi and it’s vegan.

    • @dashondanetters5192
      @dashondanetters5192 Рік тому

      It's one of those Nama Juicers. If I am not mistaken, it's a Nama J2 Juicer. It's different kinds but a lot of people are using the Nama J2. They are expensive but worth the money. I am saving so that I can order the juicer. My neighbor has this juicer and when I tell you when she made my juice, it basically didn't have any pulp in it at all!

    Every vegan and vegetarian should take at least every second day early in the morning on an empty stomach 1 tablespoon (= 15 ml) castor oil in order to prevent an intestinal blockage, for in the case that you will eat a lot of fruits or vegetables your large intestine will be really filled and you will remark this one occasionally unpleasant, this especially during the night. In this case it will be very helpfull to take your dosage castor oil in good time.

    Cooking the kimchi destroys the probiotic benefits. It's best to just add it in your fried rice after it's done. That way it won't destroy all the benefits it does when actually cooking it.

    • @Shakaylafelice
      @Shakaylafelice  Рік тому +1

      It doesn’t destroy all of the probiotics but you’re correct in that to get the most out of it, you should just add it on top
