I haven’t seen all of your builds. I haven’t seen much of the shows and honestly I need to. But I’m a Jeep guy 100% and I absolutely love seeing your LJ. I remember seeing it in trail to SEMA and immediately knew I needed to see more of it!
Will we ever see a reunion wheeling trip with you and the old Sami buggy build? I can’t think of the guys name who has it now but I did follow his build. Would be killer to see on of your current rigs and it on a wheeling trip maybe with this LJ
I could come up with so many questions, but I will keep it to kind of one. On the Goat Built you just talked about can you share exactly all the geometry numbers for the rear? Including link lengths, angles, separations, heights etc. and what are the link calculator numbers did it end up with. On a side note to that: I do question how lower link axle pivot location vertically impacts the geometry. Rock crawlers tend to put that pivot location closer to the vertical center line of the axle housing vs desert guys will put it below. My concern/question with it being on the vertical center line will the upper link be the one taking all the axle wrap/twisting forces and with that location how it effects anti squat etc. even if link separation is the same as a setup with that pivot being below the vertical center line. You stated this rig just works so well every where.
Seen you on monster garage then xtreme4x4 with Jessie Combs, then big tire garage! Be a huge fan since close to the beginning to be honest would have love to seen Suburban gorilla I believe that’s what you called it 6x6?!?! Would love to see you doing a budget build on 42” low (belly height 22-24”) and 6”-8” of up travel original frame but cut to fit for up travel.
General question; I have a Tacoma, I want lower gearing, would you keep the stock transfer case and add a Marlin Crawler Taco Box or would you get a 4 speed transfer case from Advanced Adapters? Or if you have another suggestion I'm all ears, I'm curious on what you would do.
This is all good info. I've built stretched TJ's and LJ's and I'm looking for my next build using a decent donor TJ. The frame is bad so I may consider a tube chassis.
I'm working on a goat built scrambler right now. Nice kit. Junk yard tons, 351W, 4R70W,Atlas 4. I will probably be around 35-40k. Not going crazy on any of the parts.
@ you do great builds but the onx stuff seems stupid and out of what a normal person would do. This build seems like it changed direction and not a “ overlander “ would really do.
@SoDogtravels I dont think vans are overland rigs.. id bet you don't care or agree with my opinion yet you don't agree with what Ian is building for an overland rig... Have you thought about paying him to build what you feel is an overland rig?

The wheeler updates and build videos are awesome but cameos by Zelda make every video over the top wholesome, brother. Cheers!
Great View , love all your work and looking forward to the rest of the vehicles to come !
Saw you hanging out at the Toyota booth on Tuesday at the SEMA Show. 🤘
Yeah, there is some cool stuff in that booth
It lives!
Love that rig!!
Finally! It’s been a while since you’ve launched some content on here.. keep them coming
Will do
That is my favorite project! I had a 2006 LJ that I built and had to sell it. Seeing your build gave me hope that I’ll have another LJ someday.
Dude this LJ is so much fun!!!

He was supposed to bring it to 24hr He'll and Back but he couldn't swing it...hope to one day

So you "don't like me" because of what other people choose to build for an online building contest? Confusing
