Thank you for sharing your build process and the stories behind it. Nice format. I've been watching you from the beginning ,as I'm a UTI grad I dreamed of a wyotech build off lol.
I haven’t seen all of your builds. I haven’t seen much of the shows and honestly I need to. But I’m a Jeep guy 100% and I absolutely love seeing your LJ. I remember seeing it in trail to SEMA and immediately knew I needed to see more of it!
I've been watching ian for what has to be 20 years now, gotta say project bronco raptor has to be my favorite to date and can't wait to see it finished !!!!
I have watched Mr Ian since hos debut. He has always impressedwith his knowledge and abilities. The onx challenge is peoples conception of ideas. It is their choice. Mr Ian is the reason i built my first truck. Got over the fear of gutting it. By the time i was done. I had my truck on strange axles with 40s. So just remember the contestants choose. He just hosts.
Will we ever see a reunion wheeling trip with you and the old Sami buggy build? I can’t think of the guys name who has it now but I did follow his build. Would be killer to see on of your current rigs and it on a wheeling trip maybe with this LJ
Please do your M715. I’ve been watching you for nearly three decades, and it’s my favorite thing you’ve done. Love watching you! MT has gone all weird and lost it’s identity… would love to see more content here!
This is all good info. I've built stretched TJ's and LJ's and I'm looking for my next build using a decent donor TJ. The frame is bad so I may consider a tube chassis.
I have enjoyed all your TV shows all the way back to when Jesse Combs was what's on the show I watched it I have followed all your shows and they have been fantastic I hated it when they left the air when are you going to finish the Dakota
I could come up with so many questions, but I will keep it to kind of one. On the Goat Built you just talked about can you share exactly all the geometry numbers for the rear? Including link lengths, angles, separations, heights etc. and what are the link calculator numbers did it end up with. On a side note to that: I do question how lower link axle pivot location vertically impacts the geometry. Rock crawlers tend to put that pivot location closer to the vertical center line of the axle housing vs desert guys will put it below. My concern/question with it being on the vertical center line will the upper link be the one taking all the axle wrap/twisting forces and with that location how it effects anti squat etc. even if link separation is the same as a setup with that pivot being below the vertical center line. You stated this rig just works so well every where.
Ian you said for the LJ you have out back a 5.40 gear and up front a 5.38 gear. How does it run with different gear set without breaking. Isn’t the rule you have matching gear sets front and rear?
General question; I have a Tacoma, I want lower gearing, would you keep the stock transfer case and add a Marlin Crawler Taco Box or would you get a 4 speed transfer case from Advanced Adapters? Or if you have another suggestion I'm all ears, I'm curious on what you would do.
Seen you on monster garage then xtreme4x4 with Jessie Combs, then big tire garage! Be a huge fan since close to the beginning to be honest would have love to seen Suburban gorilla I believe that’s what you called it 6x6?!?! Would love to see you doing a budget build on 42” low (belly height 22-24”) and 6”-8” of up travel original frame but cut to fit for up travel.
I'm working on a goat built scrambler right now. Nice kit. Junk yard tons, 351W, 4R70W,Atlas 4. I will probably be around 35-40k. Not going crazy on any of the parts.
@BigTireGarage A fr collab would be awesome. Always seeing ya rocking Dixxon work shirts seen a few flannels here and there but mostly the infamous black work shirt
@ you do great builds but the onx stuff seems stupid and out of what a normal person would do. This build seems like it changed direction and not a “ overlander “ would really do.
@SoDogtravels I dont think vans are overland rigs.. id bet you don't care or agree with my opinion yet you don't agree with what Ian is building for an overland rig... Have you thought about paying him to build what you feel is an overland rig?
Been watching since Xtreme 4x4. Built my turbo diesel samurai because of your build. Glad to see you are making another show!
the GOAT build LJ and shop truck are the coolest builds in my option. Ian you do some really great work!
Thank you for sharing your build process and the stories behind it. Nice format. I've been watching you from the beginning ,as I'm a UTI grad I dreamed of a wyotech build off lol.
Awesome, thank you!

Great rig Ian. I really enjoyed the build series.
Thanks 👍
I've been watching ian for what has to be 20 years now, gotta say project bronco raptor has to be my favorite to date and can't wait to see it finished !!!!
Love that rig!!
Can't wait for the new episodes !!!
Wish we could have had you back to SE Idaho, we have some new trails to show yall.
I have watched Mr Ian since hos debut. He has always impressedwith his knowledge and abilities. The onx challenge is peoples conception of ideas. It is their choice. Great View , love all your work and looking forward to the rest of the vehicles to come !
Such an awesome build!!
That is my favorite project! I had a 2006 LJ that I built and had to sell it. Seeing your build gave me hope that I’ll have another LJ someday.
Dude this LJ is so much fun!!!
That was a great build. Another great video 👍👍
The wheeler updates and build videos are awesome but cameos by Zelda make every video over the top wholesome, brother. Cheers!
It lives!

He was supposed to bring it to 24hr He'll and Back but he couldn't swing it...hope to one day
i like this format... good work

Coming soon!
Nice rig
Saw you hanging out at the Toyota booth on Tuesday at the SEMA Show. 🤘
Yeah, there is some cool stuff in that booth
I love the build recaps and the where are they now videos
Finally! It’s been a while since you’ve launched some content on here.. keep them coming
Will do

The Goat Built chassis is amazing!!
I have enjoyed all your TV shows all the way back to when Jesse Combs was what's on the show I watched it I have followed all your shows and they have been fantastic I hated it when they left the air when are you going to finish the Dakota
good video , thanks
Sweet rig😊
That certainly is one cool LJ

Sorry, asked the question while watchin the video. Can’t believe you sold it to a friend for that amount! I need to have friends like you😂
No worries!
WHEN I will the lottery (lol), I'm getting in touch with you to build this Jeep for me. :)
I hope the VW I see in the background sometimes gets a walkaround
Oh it will!!!
Ian you said for the LJ you have out back a 5.40 gear and up front a 5.38 gear. How does it run with different gear set without breaking. Isn’t the rule you have matching gear sets front and rear?
i know how you fill i miss every truck and car i have ever sold
Watched probably all your builds and the “race Jeep” is one of my favorites. Have you ever figured what the total investment is?
In the video

Wow didn't know Car-Guy Fieri was here

LET THE SALT FLOW
Hey Ian - still cannot order sticker packs in Shop with a Cdn shipping address
I'm working on a goat built scrambler right now. Nice kit. Junk yard tons, 351W, 4R70W,Atlas 4. I will probably be around 35-40k. Not going crazy on any of the parts.
Sounds great!
So with the recent shake up with Motortrend and the shows & project vehicles...... who owns the Race LJ?
Don't let it get away!
It's mine..all the cars on the show are mine...or friends of mine
What would say has been the hardest trail you've taken on with this rig so far? ❤ This thing
Probably latest He'll and Back trip....it was craziest I have ever done!!!
@BigTireGarage I guess I know what I'm watching next. 👍
I think it will.come out in Dec...
Ian. When are we gonna get a BTG DIXXON flannel colab
I would honestly rather do a Dixxob BTG Workshirt...or FR collab
@BigTireGarage A fr collab would be awesome. Always seeing ya rocking Dixxon work shirts seen a few flannels here and there but mostly the infamous black work shirt
What is the status of Cheap Jeep?
I’m a proud Comanche owner. I’d love to know how yours ended up!
Still working on it...gotta buckle down to finish it!!
What happened to the scout
Body shop
The Dakota shop truck please

I need to sell my builds, so I can afford to build the next one. It must be nice to be rich.
Hood Rich
What happened to the doomsday build.
The 6x6 Suburban? The new hosts that took over chopped it up and sold it for parts
🍻👍
Robby 20k van.......why he still on challenge he's van b.s more like 40k
Over budget not announced until after winner crowned
Sorry motortrend in general are dishonest to thier viewers from UA-cam.
I liked you but the onX challenge has me not liking you
Why?
@ you do great builds but the onx stuff seems stupid and out of what a normal person would do. This build seems like it changed direction and not a “ overlander “ would really do.
I wheel a e350 super duty quigley with Dana 60s pop top full camper van
@SoDogtravels I dont think vans are overland rigs.. id bet you don't care or agree with my opinion yet you don't agree with what Ian is building for an overland rig...
Have you thought about paying him to build what you feel is an overland rig?
So you "don't like me" because of what other people choose to build for an online building contest? Confusing
