I like both ways but the longer videos are more entertaining n very useful especially when some use them to look up things as tools it’s in one place not separate videos thanks for the content it’s great channel
I like the longer videos because they have actual content. Often, a long video means watching someone look for a socket, find a rag, walk around, just wasting time to create viewing minutes. Appreciate these.
I like the way you did things in this video - pulling parts from one to others - and the continuity of your work is explained better. I'm all for you continuing this. The longer videos are much better.
DEFINITELY longer, more in depth videos! I've got a '47 and a '51 Willys Truck, so this stuff is right up my ally. Also, anytime you can throw in info about parts interchangeability it's a huge plus in my book. This one video has answered several nagging questions I've had kicking around in the back of my head for a while now. Thanks for the added knowledge!
Whatever makes more money for you, one long one or more short videos. I welcome all your videos and I appreciate the explanations and watching the procedures that you use. Keep on having fun, your projects are so very different from other YT channels.
I enjoy the longer videos, mostly because they allow you to go in any direction that strikes you. Getting to follow your creative process certainly inspires me for my own projects.
*- James your encyclopedic memory reminds me of the parts store owner who taught me what little auto mechanic knowledge I have.* *- He could remember the part number of everything in his store and how much he paid for it thirty years ago.* *- At 16 he timed and got started a giant custom designed marine engine with no timing marks and a 3 in fuel line for a wealthy vacationer on Bras d'Or Lake Nova Scotia whose batteries were almost dead.* *- It started on the first crank. I've been loving the longer videos it really shows your thought process through a build, especially this one with all the back and forth like anyone that works at home
As someone who is working on a mis-matched CJ-5, the longer videos with the parts relations and re-use of used parts are very helpful as reference material. On several occasions something you have done has either inspired me, or informed me of a direct solution to a problem I was trying to solve in my revival.
I like the longer videos. They are enlightening and fun to watch. I'm doing a '48 Studebaker M15A and I think you just showed me how to deal with the brakes. The replacement shoes come in just under 900.00 for one axle!! If I need wheel clinders and spring kits it totals more than 1200.00. So much for a cheap build!! I don't think the truck weighs much more than a mid-seventies 1/2 ton. Thanks for this tip and a lot more from past episodes. Interestingly, the square fender jeep was the first vehicle I learned to abuse while in the army.
I like the long format and love your channel. I guess I’ll watch and enjoy whatever you put out. So whatever works for you is fine with me. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
You are my favorite UA-camr! I’ve been turning wrenches on everything from weedeaters to aircraft for over 45 years. I love all your quirky projects And I’ve been a subscriber since about the 25,000 mark. But what makes your channel my favorite is your intelligent Rye & sarcastic humor! Reminds me of my grandfather who I miss dearly. I happily watch anything you upload! I am thrilled to see your channel growing. I prefer the longer stuff, but I believe from what I’ve seen of other channels, the algorithm rewards production.
I’m not a big commenter but I just wanted to say you seem like a guy I’d like to have a beer with and I don’t even drink. Keep up the great content and thx for the effort you put in.
Morning from Rochester, Kent, UK. First time commenting Have watched a few of your videos and enjoyed them. My infant UA-cam channel is super random and I always hope of value to someone. Your problem solving skills are very impressive. Simple things like releasing the brake shoes in the hob of the axle you chose. My brother thinks like you. Me…….?? I struggle along but love learning from you guys. Thanks for your teaching style. You remind me of Div on Ratrods for Africa.
I like that after so many years, you are marking your parts. I bought military tires from a guy in Canada who had MB, CJ2 and 3 parts all over his yard. But each model had a different colour paint pen noting yr or variation or condition.
I like the fact half you get distracted and almost build another project by accident. Happy with long form videos. Keep reminding me that if I'm not having fun I'm doing it wrong, it is a very important message.
I'm willing to wait for the longer videos, I enjoyed this differential tour, I know you're going to put a V8 in the one your starting to put together and nothing is likely to change your mind about that, it's been my experience that the 6 cylinder is the best of both worlds, more power than the 4-cylinder less weight than the 8 cylinder and better longevity with the drivetrain, I'm going enjoy watching you put the parts together either way, so thanks for this detailed video and I look forward to the next
Thank you for sharing your projects. Your endless optimism and knowing when to stop - when it isn't fun - and come back later has inspired me and helped with my projects. I prefer your longer videos. Thank you again, have a great day
I'll put in another vote for the longer videos! Noticed at around 36:10 are those IH logos in the middle of those hubs? Might you have some scout parts mixed in there? Also looking forward to a segment about what looks like a Monarch 10EE lathe in the future!
I enjoy the longer videos. I enjoy the short videos, I enjoy all your videos, but since I have to pick, I'll go with the long ones. I always learn something and have a laugh. Great stuff James, thanks so much.
I like both options. A lot of UA-cam channels find they have better viewership when they upload shorter videos more frequently and consistently. This helps them to generate more revenue. I like all of your content and am just happy you bring us along for your adventures.
i would be happy if we can get one more video per week. you make the world a little bit easier. your own way you go through is so kind. your way helps me to see much things easier too. they are like they are take it how it comes. make the best of it.
Short or long you continue to be informative and a veritable fountain of knowledge of Jeep history and technical tid bits. Thanks for your first class editing and camera work.
@34:05 it is so hard to believe you have been on UA-cam as long as you have. I forgot that your early videos were in Sepia. Did you put up the one where you re grease the wagon wheel? I always liked that one.
I like the longer in depth versions. It’s especially interesting how you have several projects that you swap parts with, and how you adapt. You are a great mechanic and engineer.
I like the longer videos more. They feel like episodes. The short ones feel like clips. Having said that, I would watch whatever format you choose. Yours is still one of the best channels on UA-cam.
Great video, I'm re-watching this for educational purposes. I'm not a car guy by nature and I've learned more about car stuff watching these. Thank you!! Always fun!!!
I enjoy getting the full context as you currently are doing but if you upload shorter videos more frequently I’ll still watch it but I’m not impatient and I understand that you have a life outside of your UA-cam channel and just appreciate that you share what you do, many viewers feel like they are owed something and don’t appreciate what they get however I do! Thank you for sharing your passion projects with us!
Another great video, love the long ones! Your knowledge of these older Jeeps is astounding! I've learned more about them just watching your videos, before I new practically nothing about these older ones. Thank you for sharing, please keep em coming!
It's a real treat to have videos such as this. We see some real progress. It's like visiting for a couple of days and helping with some CJ's. Without the effort. Shorter videos feel so commercialised and then the sponsorship deals start coming and we have o sit through testimonials no-one believes in. and the content is neither one thing nor the other. This video is another excellent video product that I subscribed to and have always enjoyed the quality of since that day. There have been some lengthy delays at times but a chance to review some earlier material from your channel is good too.. Keep up the exemplary fun featured Low Buck Garage filming and I'll be among those who always enjoy seeing a fresh feture from your work !
I like the longer videos. With everything you did to piece those axles together reminded of my pathway to success. I do hate it when I have to do it (I'm not having fun!). Longer or shorter, I'll be there for your videos.
Since your videos usually pop out on the weekend, the long form videos work great for me. After a long work week, it's great to decompress with your videos.
I fallowed you because of your flatty content. So definitely keep making those. The longer the better, I need more ideas to get my grandpa's '53 back on the road. Thank you so much for having this information readily available.
I'll watch whatever video you make. Long- Short doesn't matter. I really appreciate that you go through all the trouble and share your experiences with me.
You just taught me more than I ever knew about jeeps in about 30 seconds. As far as longer or shorter videos, any kind is fine. Beggars can't be choosers. ( but I do really enjoy the long ones).
I personally prefer longer videos, love your style and humor by the way. Very entertaining to watch and I am also learning new things about older vehicles. Anyway, would appreciate any format as long as its Low-Buck Garage.
I enjoy the longer videos and how you include lots of sidetracks along your way. We all operate like that, don't we?
If you're not having fun. You're doing it wrong. 😁
Ditto kiddo
I completely agree
Agreed 👍
I like both ways but the longer videos are more entertaining n very useful especially when some use them to look up things as tools it’s in one place not separate videos thanks for the content it’s great channel
I like the longer videos because they have actual content. Often, a long video means watching someone look for a socket, find a rag, walk around, just wasting time to create viewing minutes. Appreciate these.
I like the longer videos!
I like longer in-depth videos - like watching a documentary about all the mechanical expertise and DYI manufacturing.
Agree. Normally after the video I feel I need to wash the grease from my hands
@@homemaintenancebyclive153 But how then you will get your sausages into the nooks and crannies near the engine block?
It's a miracle you can find the old footage to splice in. Amazing organizational skills 😀
He hoards everything ;)
@@afro8859 hahaha!!
I like the way you did things in this video - pulling parts from one to others - and the continuity of your work is explained better. I'm all for you continuing this. The longer videos are much better.
Saturday Nights are so much better with Low-Buck Garage
And it’s a full moon to boot !
Yup!
Today is Monday
It’s just a really charismatic guy puttering around in his yard, but it’s my favorite channel on UA-cam
I like the longer videos, I will watch the ones you put out either way. Thanks
True I'm here either way!
DEFINITELY longer, more in depth videos! I've got a '47 and a '51 Willys Truck, so this stuff is right up my ally. I agree! I am working on a 52 Willys truck project too.
I love the longer videos. The way they progress, it is just like how real life projects go! You don't simplify how it REALLY goes!
I really enjoy your videos ( seen them all ---- twice 🙂 ) The longer ones are way better than the shorts.
Please keep them coming

Honestly, your videos are always great when you're enjoying yourself, regardless of the length. I'm here for any and all.
I watch everything you put out. Been fun going back to videos before I discovered your channel. Thank you !
I like indepth details of each step you do.
It's not about the length of the video, it's about the fun you bring with it!
LOL I'm only about 7 minutes in and I bet the original line was, what's in my rearend"....LOL!
"Oil, chunks, water, or all of the above?"
had to be why he spliced it
I'm always careful what I stick in my- "REAR AXLE".
Honestly, i like the longer videos. You go more in depth, and seeing how projects inter-act between each other is fascinating.

This length video is just fine. I enjoy your wit and humor. "I'll ignore that!" That's a "HOOT!"

JAMES, @1:29 there is a brake line sticking up that is going to poke an eye OUT!!!
I love the videos!!
I like the longer videos personally, but I would watch shorter ones with just as much enthusiasm and excitement as I do all your videos 👍
I like the full length videos, start to finish. Keep up the good work.

Have watched a few of your videos and enjoyed them.

You remind me of Div on Ratrods for Africa.
Long or short doesn't matter. Great either way!
worth the wait! I enjoy the three projects together and your story telling. Thank you for the videos and for teaching me something each time I watch!!
I definitely like “Step 1”
If I hadn't seen the way all three projects interacted, I wouldn't have believed it. You are doing it right.

Longer videos is my vote
I think this video is about the perfect length! The interconnectedness of the projects is very cool to see
caught an upload within the first 10 minutes! love your content man!
I enjoy the longer videos. I enjoy the short videos, I enjoy all your videos, but since I have to pick, I'll go with the long ones. I always learn something and have a laugh. Great stuff James, thanks so much.
I really like the longer video and it is worth the wait
I love these Jeep videos, so much so that I bought a 2a for myself to build from the ground up!
I like the longer videos.
I like both options. A lot of UA-cam channels find they have better viewership when they upload shorter videos more frequently and consistently. This helps them to generate more revenue. I like all of your content and am just happy you bring us along for your adventures.
I like the 30 - 45 minute videos. The channels that upload 1hr or more videos I don't typically watch.
i would be happy if we can get one more video per week. you make the world a little bit easier. your own way you go through is so kind. your way helps me to see much things easier too. they are like they are take it how it comes. make the best of it.

Definitely the longer videos for sure, makes it more feel like we as the subscribers are kinda there with you and learning from your knowledge
I dont mind waiting for the longer videos but ill watch whatever you decide to post when you decide to post it
I like the longer in depth versions. It’s especially interesting how you have several projects that you swap parts with, and how you adapt. You are a great mechanic and engineer.
The mystery diff could be rocsta, mahindra or a hotchkiss, and I think the mystery tailgate is hotchkiss
Sunday afternoon ist the right time for me watching you videos, even here in Austria, no matter if short or longer, your skills are amazing.
Longer videos, definitely.
I like the longer videos more. They feel like episodes. The short ones feel like clips. Having said that, I would watch whatever format you choose. Yours is still one of the best channels on UA-cam.
46:32 Was this a long video?? Felt like 10 minutes.
Great video, I'm re-watching this for educational purposes. I'm not a car guy by nature and I've learned more about car stuff watching these. Thank you!! Always fun!!!
For what it's worth, I enjoy the longer videos and the interesting journeys of the parts migrating from one project to another.
Thanks for asking.

Low-Buck Garage and mymechanics may be polar opposites when it comes to restoration channels on youtube, and I love both so much
Not a mechanic here. I love this guys humor and ingenuity. Excellent content.
46:00 Definitely longer videos, and more frequent. Thank you.

My ADHD thoroughly loved this longer video! I always love how an old guy like me can still learn new things. thanks man!
Honestly??. I want more short videos AND longer ones. 😂but seriously, just keep it all coming Brother. I enjoy it a lot!
Hello from Maine
I like the longer videos. With everything you did to piece those axles together reminded of my pathway to success. I do hate it when I have to do it (I'm not having fun!).
Longer or shorter, I'll be there for your videos.
I enjoy the longer videos, they're fun to watch and I also love when you start "fiddling" with another project and then "tease" us about future stuff!
Sunday morning in Norway when the video came out. So coffee and the tablet, relaxing in the good chair. I do enjoy the longer videos.
Im glad the frame came to good use. I can't believe everything lined up so well!!! It was good meeting you, my daughter loved the shirt!
I always appreciate seeing the meanderings of a mad scientist-genius. Keep it up”Long”. Strong work.
It's the fun that keeps us coming back. As far as your video style, whatever works best for you is fine with me.
I like how you find obscure vehicles that nobody would think of. I'm also a sucker for Jeep projects.
I'll watch whatever video you make. Long- Short doesn't matter. I really appreciate that you go through all the trouble and share your experiences with me.
The long videos are fine with me.
I love the old jeep builds.
Cheers
Terry
I’m a fan of the longer videos. May take longer but it’s a treat when you upload and much more fun .
45 minutes to an hour is great for me. Lots of info in your presentations.
My Mrs. says option 2 but I like anything you post, short or extended. We appreciate your content.
You just taught me more than I ever knew about jeeps in about 30 seconds. As far as longer or shorter videos, any kind is fine. Beggars can't be choosers. ( but I do really enjoy the long ones).
Longer videos please. The wait is worth it
I really enjoy the longer form videos! Thank you for the great content, attitude, and humor!
I love the custom spring plates!
I enjoy seeing the in-depth detail of your projects, so longer videos get my vote.
I personally prefer longer videos, love your style and humor by the way. Very entertaining to watch and I am also learning new things about older vehicles. Anyway, would appreciate any format as long as its Low-Buck Garage.
Long or short doesn't matter. Just keep them coming as we are all addicted to your videos and humor.
I like the indepth play by play. Color commentary is appreciated too. Well done.
Longer videos with more depth are surely the way to go. I've no idea what you're talking about most of the time, but I really enjoy listening to it.
I enjoy the longer videos, it doesn't matter if decide to do the shorter I will still watch. Keep up the good work.
Best 46 minutes & 39 seconds I spent today. Thanks
