It's tempting to toss in a more powerful engine but this old idi with the right turbo sounds soooooo good! It definitely adds to the experience of using it.
Absolutely pumped on this rig. I think a really small aluminum bed rack to hold your camping gear would be sick. Can’t wait to see more snow wheeling adventures!!
JW Speaker and Trucklite make heated LED headlights. Awesome build, just needs better headlights and rollover protection because these things have the structural integrity of a house of cards. Your sidemarker lights also need to be wired up. I love that engine sound.
My dad had defender 110 the sound bring a lot of memories. Great video driving me back to the memory line. These are are very rare here. In middle east we had landcruiser and defender. Defender for going out with all the family. Landcruiser for hunting camping and overlanding.
Hey Nate, if you use a aftermarket p38 steering coupling shaft the lower half that connects to the box is a pentagon shaped rod that is easy to shorten to the correct length. makes for a factory look without the bolts hanging out of it. keep up the fantastic content.
Started watching this build because it's a cool rig, your videos are a great easy watch. I know you were a little rushed on this build, but a little more info on what & why you are doing things would be nice (in my opinion). Ready to watch more of your videos now.
Swap out the amazon lights for a set of Hella H4 E-code 7" round lights with some Osram Night Breaker bulbs. You could use yellow bulbs for off-road. That is one crazy build!! Heat cycle the tires before you sent it. Studs may not hang on, some tires require it.
I'm a huge diesel guy, and this thing sounds amazing. If you're ever in my neck of the mountains, shoot me a message so I can see this thing in the snow. It'd be cool to get this, the Rodeo, and the Delica out on a snow wheeling trip.🤘
I live in Enumclaw. We got nailed with the wind. Hope your property didn’t take to much damage. That rig is awesome. Maybe We’ll cross path s up around Rainer sometime. Really appreciate the videos.
It just looks so so cool, you did a great job. I was so amped for this build when you got it. It’s cool to see a classic rig like that with a more modern chassis.
Nate, as a longtime owner of a tire shop, turn your tire wheel assembly over and use your bead seater from the back side of the wheel, it works much easier. Keep up the good work!
Building my old rover right now too! This just keeps getting better and better. I remeber seeing you get the disco 2 and wondered when the next rover would arrive. You’ll never meet a rover owner who only has one…..
Awesome build Nate! But if you are going to use that rig on the snow you should use some Paint like a raptor or same kind to protect the frame and the cab from rusting, because the frame of the Doors, cab, tail gate are steel and they Will rust hard and it Will be expensive to replace all that! I already had to sell my defender 90 TDI because of that and a live on Portugal and there already are away to expensive to replace parts!
What a video! Thank you for sharing this! I love the shakedown runs and this Landrover build is next level. Great work! As always I am looking forward to the next one!
Those bead blasters work pretty good. You gotta work that valve quick so it'll force the air in the tire faster. They also make a pistol grip style that has an air actuated valve that works great, you just have to wait for your rich uncle to get out of the poor house for those
@ it’s a good way to live, no matter what stupid situation you find yourself in at least you’ve got your equally stupid friend to help you get back out of it. Us dummies gotta stick together.
Run the badass studs! Put down a piece of plywood where the tires go on the back part of the trailer that's metal! THOSE ARE SO COOL!!!!! Literally it will be unstoppable!
I had trouble at the shop mounting a set of tires. We ended up cutting lengths of wood to wedge between the beads and then put a hair dryer in them to warm them up. Made a huge difference.
The LED headlight not melting snow is not just a cheap thing. I put KC LED protectors in my Jeep. I should craft a snow melt squirter out of a washer pump and reservoir for the headlights.
I had a short based Landrover many years ago. Installed a st. stl. "Roo bar" on the front bumper, drove through nearly 1 meter of snow, never a problem. Your LR is missing the spare tyre on the hood, which is very useful when needing a person to guide you through rough terrain.
Awesome build. Im mot a series fan, but this one looks fantastic. Cant wait for more snow videos as where im from we're lucky to get it over a foot deep every 10 years or so
That thing is just awesome. Can't wait to see it go with the Arctic tires. For what it's worth though. Toyota World Runners channel already have a truck called Yeti for years now.
I had a 79 Dodge Power Wagon short bed 360 4spd with the full time 4wd system. I put a add a leaf on all 4 corners and had 33" 15 inch AT radials, with the transfer case in low lock and 2nd or 3rd gear it was un stop able. Winter trail riding in the UP of Mich and the arrowhead of MN it would be pushing snow with the front bumper and still going very strong. Best trail truck I've ever owned.
Love the sound of this rig, sounds like a semi truck! Never been a big Land Rover fan but between this and your disco I’m digging them.
It's tempting to toss in a more powerful engine but this old idi with the right turbo sounds soooooo good! It definitely adds to the experience of using it.
I've been driving 4cyl diesels since 1986. Toyota 3b and since 2001, the 13BT. The sound track of my life.
@@DirtLifestylea om605 would be a great swap choice!
@@DirtLifestyleSmall block chevy with a carb
@@DirtLifestylethat thing is absolutely amazing.
Absolutely pumped on this rig. I think a really small aluminum bed rack to hold your camping gear would be sick. Can’t wait to see more snow wheeling adventures!!
With chains on this little LR could climb vertical snow. It's CRAZY how good LR AWD is with the right tires
JW Speaker and Trucklite make heated LED headlights. Awesome build, just needs better headlights and rollover protection because these things have the structural integrity of a house of cards. Your sidemarker lights also need to be wired up. I love that engine sound.
Your Samurai is badass but i absolutely love this more. Super stoked that your built this .
Pushing snow with the differential is good, but pushing snow with your grill is a whole other level.
The Landy looks sooooo good!!
2:38 Turn those bolts around! Thats terrifying! Having steering lock up is a life changing event!
My dad had defender 110 the sound bring a lot of memories. Great video driving me back to the memory line. These are are very rare here. In middle east we had landcruiser and defender. Defender for going out with all the family. Landcruiser for hunting camping and overlanding.
Drone footage in the snow was really cool to watch, even for a Guy that doesn’t know anything about filming. Good Job!
Look forward to all your videos. The more the better.
Thank you!
Very Cool. I love the look of that rig, it's amazing!

DUDE!!! I cannot wait to see that beast on the snow covered trails!!!!!!
Nate..your videos don't stop getting better. I am continually impressed by your improvements EVERY. SINGLE. VIDEO. Bravo man. You're awesome.
Love the huge tires and the sound is fantastic.
This little rig is really cool, awesome work!
Started watching this build because it's a cool rig, your videos are a great easy watch. I know you were a little rushed on this build, but a little more info on what & why you are doing things would be nice (in my opinion). Ready to watch more of your videos now.
The little Rover is a "SNOW getter" Nice! !
Love that little cab cap that makes it into a pickup. Just looks fun
Ok now I want one plus your filming is top notch. Best part is the drone light showing the scene well
I'm a huge diesel guy, and this thing sounds amazing. If you're ever in my neck of the mountains, shoot me a message so I can see this thing in the snow. It'd be cool to get this, the Rodeo, and the Delica out on a snow wheeling trip.🤘
It's not unusual to see the 'Series' Land Rovers sporting a vinyl "radiator blind" to help the engine get up to temp in cooler conditions.
We love old landys in the UK.
Really the funnest build and coolest looking Landy ever. Thanks for sharing
This thing is so cool !!! Such an awesome build. I’m so glad you went this way , I can’t wait to see it in deep snow ❄️
Thank you! Me neither! Snow testing begins tomorrow 😁
A end of the week video upload!!! Yes! Love this little thing.
Man that half cab is 💰 money!!!
I love everything about this... great job Nate!
That thing is sick dude! Perfect little daily driver. 🤘
I live in Enumclaw. We got nailed with the wind. Hope your property didn’t take to much damage. That rig is awesome. Maybe We’ll cross path s up around Rainer sometime. Really appreciate the videos.
Do you guys get snow like that up that way? I’m down at JBLM and I would love to see snow like that.
Awesome build as usual ! ! Reminds me of our stock early Bronco , low geared , go anywhere !
So good to see you have someone to riff with, keep having fun
the drone shots are so crisp! and 38's are just the perfect size for pre-2k rigs
You have a great vehicle there. And like your caution about safety.
It just looks so so cool, you did a great job. I was so amped for this build when you got it. It’s cool to see a classic rig like that with a more modern chassis.
Might be worth the investment to get some JW speaker heated led headlights. Can’t wait to start seeing more snow wheeling videos!
Snow wheeling season is my favorite!!! What a blast!
Such a cool rig! I dig the studs! Looking forward to see how it murders the snow with those tires!!
Snow wheeling tomorrow 💪 I feel like a kid on Christmas eve...
Nate, as a longtime owner of a tire shop, turn your tire wheel assembly over and use your bead seater from the back side of the wheel, it works much easier. Keep up the good work!
Looking good Nate.
Soo much fun!
Looking forward to seeing what those Arctic tires do in our snow up here! Nice portal teaser at the end!
Love the land rover content. Would be sweet to see the disco soon too
Dude this thing has quickly become one of my favorite builds on all of UA-cam land. Absolutely awesome! 👊🏻
Love the snow wheeling content. I like the cab need one for my jeep. Good job.
That opening clip was so cool.
Building my old rover right now too! This just keeps getting better and better.

Man, haven't even watched in the snow in the video, and man that thing looks freakin amazing, especially with the cab. Well done Nate
12:03 friends never let friends do dumb shit… alone. 😂
This might be my new mantra 😆
@ it’s a good way to live, no matter what stupid situation you find yourself in at least you’ve got your equally stupid friend to help you get back out of it. Us dummies gotta stick together.
I have room for that as a tattoo
@ get it done, let’s see it 🤣
Curse you Nate! I'm thinking that I need an old Land Rover now! This might be my favorite build yet. Thanks
This Land Rover gives me tingles in all the right places. Well done guys... That thing is freaking awesome.
That River is soooo cool! Great build. Unfortunately there’s no snow on the So. Texas coast.
Dude!!! Snow play and summer coffee show!!! duel purpose!!!✌️l
Great stuff!👍
SOooooooo cool! I love it more, every time I see it. Happy trails this weekend!
I can’t wait for more videos!
Night time drone footage was really cool.
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 love the truck cab. Needs some more auxiliary lights ..
Run the badass studs! Put down a piece of plywood where the tires go on the back part of the trailer that's metal! THOSE ARE SO COOL!!!!! Literally it will be unstoppable!
Switching OnX builds midstream was probably stressful at the time, but now look at what you got ! It's in its element snow wheeling.
Such a cool build and rig. As a j10 owner I was bummed to see progress pause on that build but this one was so worth it !
Speaking of portals… this would be killer on a set!
That VW/Land Rover looks great, sounds great, runs great
your videos are absolutely cinema ! you are a very talented human. from your mechanical knowledge and video producing. good job !
I’m surprised they abandoned it, I thought it did really well!
Absolutely LOVED the content this week!!! Love the Rover build!!
You did a good job on this build. I love it. I live in Colorado and we get this kind of snow all the time in winter. Love the snow.
Love my 71 2a 109 LR. 💪 Daily rig and never stops.
I absolutely love this rig!!! Can’t wait to see it in action!
Cool old rig certainly capable, looks like it's guna be a lot of fun, thanks for sharing, all the best
So mesmerising scenery it doesn't even look real especially with a Landrover pushing through the snow😅😍🍀🤘👌💯👍
I had trouble at the shop mounting a set of tires. We ended up cutting lengths of wood to wedge between the beads and then put a hair dryer in them to warm them up. Made a huge difference.
As a Brit with a Landrover I may be biased but, that thing is awesome 👌
awesome build guys!
This is awesome I can't wait to see the Artic.. I mean Arctic Land Rover in action on big boi tires
This is the best rig I’ve seen built on UA-cam ❤
Very cool build and great footage!
Such a cool truck! Imagine this on snow tracks!
This is a cool build. What a tank of a vehicle!
It's such a fun little tank! When I'm not using it I'm day dreaming about using it 😆
This build has got me really excited...🤘😀
On hard pack snow it's all fun and games till you break thru the crust and have to climb back on top. Big ass chains! 😊
Zero psi for climbing on top of the snow. Chains for ripping through the snow layer and find solid ground.
The LED headlight not melting snow is not just a cheap thing. I put KC LED protectors in my Jeep. I should craft a snow melt squirter out of a washer pump and reservoir for the headlights.
Trucklite and JW Speaker have heated-lens LED headlights that work well.
@ yeah I didn’t think I’d need em Because of living in Oregon not Alaska. One time driving in the snow proved that wrong lol
I had a short based Landrover many years ago. Installed a st. stl. "Roo bar" on the front bumper, drove through nearly 1 meter of snow, never a problem. Your LR is missing the spare tyre on the hood, which is very useful when needing a person to guide you through rough terrain.
Bro. Gonna start calling you Midas. Everything you touch turns to gold. Absolutely love this rig!
That drone light is super cool!
Watching Nate wheel and UA-cam thinks an advert for an electric car will appeal to me 🤣🤣
Awesome build.
Can't wait to see the next video, this is my favorite build you have done, great rig!!!!
Just found this channel about a week ago and i am loving it hope you never stop what your doing love the builds love the vids keep it up.
Oui bruv, you got a loucense fer dat snow wheelin?!
Awesome rig, can't wait to see how far you take this old land rover.
That Rover is adorable... but in a Manly way.😊
Turning out so awesome! Well done!
I had a 79 Dodge Power Wagon short bed 360 4spd with the full time 4wd system. I put a add a leaf on all 4 corners and had 33" 15 inch AT radials, with the transfer case in low lock and 2nd or 3rd gear it was un stop able. I was skeptical, but I'm loving it.
I love this rig Nate!
