Although I am happy with my B9, I am not satisfied with the size. I had to buy a 65" because I knew I would have problems buying a bigger one, even so, uploading the TV to my apartment and installing it was very difficult (my building does not have an elevator). But this ... this is what I dreamed of for a long time, a giant TV in 21:9 format, easy to disassemble and transport. Please LG, release this tv soon ... and at a reasonable price.
it's not easy to assemble / disassemble. Have you seen these panels installed before? there's a tons of mounts and cords that need set up on the wall prior. takes forever and most people would need a pro to do it.
And after 15 years, your the happiest man on earth, and your wife said "i can't see a difference" - this is what my wife says after upgraded my projector to a 4k projector 😁😁😁😁😁

The porn industry is usually one of the first to implement (pun non-intended) and adapt new technologies. They were among the first to use HD, 3D and 4K. The user case for 8K porn is obvious, although some performers may not be too happy about it. However, the _real_ target audience is going to be gamers. They are the demographic that's mostly interested in buying new technologies and willing to pay the associated price. When 1Gb internet is ubiquitous, streaming services may step into 8K distribution as well. Most affected will be Hollywood and regular movie theaters. Whilst Hollywood is at least capturing many tentpole films in large format, that's usually below 8K resolution and the workflow all too often includes a 2K downconversion. Meanwhile, cinemas are still offering dim digital projection with poor contrast. A current consumer-grade OLED television has a better picture quality than most cinemas have, which says a lot about the state of cinemas. After the pandemic, they _seriously_ need to majorly upgrade their spiel. A giant micro-led screen like this rather than far from perfect current-day digital could actually be the solution for that. Certainly when somewhere in this decade a true 16K-20K digital IMAX camera is made with a sensor equivalent to 15perf70 film. That would be three times bigger than the current ARRI-based digital IMAX camera, which is a 65mm camera with 6,5K resolution. It's a brilliant camera for sure, but we need digital capture to equal the original far bigger analog IMAX format which was used to such great extend in films like The Dark Knight, Dunkirk and Tenet. And then have that displayed on a massive microled screen like the one rendered in the video.
Starting at $1, do I here $2? If it’s affordable it’ll sell! Plus this makes it feel like no more theatre’s, everything will be from home as things are going.
How about 21:9 tv options that are actually affordable for average consumers? It’s available for phones and monitors (as well as workarounds in the projector community), but not in a space where it could be utilized when watching tens of thousands of scoped movies?
The only affordable way is a projector with an anamorphic lens. Or a Barco 21:9 projector (used). LG did make a 105" 21:9 lcd but it was over $20,000 and 105" is not that big in 21:9 format.
Thats fucking amazing not gonna lie, as long as there arent visible bezels between the screens, thats the damn future for sure. You can upgrade your tv by a few inches every year instead of buying a new one, thats so fire.
