  • I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
    I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
    Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

    I think if you put the chips and meatballs into a baking tray, put tight tin foil over it with no gaps, then put tin foil over that loosely, with an air gap between the 2 foil layers, you’d get a hotter cooking area in the baking tray.

    i bet you would get a better result using a large flower pot upside down over the trays of food sitting on top of a tuna can or something similarly sized. so it would go stove, then can, then tray of food, then pot covering it.

    If you were to turn off the catalytic combustor, would that make the stove run hotter and therefor better for cooking?

    • @NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore
      @NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore  9 днів тому +2

      Yes, but that would also create a hazard because it would bypass the damper

    • @justsomeguy6474

      @@NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore I was thinking short term just for cooking for a half hour or 45 minutes.

    • @NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore
      @NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore  9 днів тому +4

      @justsomeguy6474 that's not a good idea.Because if the bypass is open, flames can go up the chimney, causing a chimney fire. Especially towards the end of the season the chimney is going to be a bit dirty. The stove is not meant to run at these temperatures either. It's going to make a minimal difference, because there's a gap of air between the burn chamber and top of the stove. If this was a regular stove or even a cooking stove, it would be the same surface for maximum conduction. This is not meant for cooking, so it wasn't a great test of the actual product

      @@NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore Thanks for the info. Nice to know the limits of one kind of wood stove over another. The one in the truck camper is great for cooking but not efficiency.

    I wouldn't think the outside of the oven will get too hot if its insulated to keep the heat in, also think you had the door open too long at the beginning which let most of the heat out before you out the food in it
