- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

I love how you just talk whatever comes to mind in these vídeos. It gives a sense of authenticity that you don't see on UA-cam anymore.
No matter WHERE I start on youtube....no matter what my goals or intentions,,,,,,I ALWAYS end up on this guys channel!
Funny guy.. talking about maybe throwing away the 3 year old cereal when you are eating 40 year old hash browns 😆
This channel is like late 90s internet - an engaging person presenting very specific, random and intriguing things of interest in their own way, their own style within the confines of the medium,. Very refreshing and welcoming in this era of super-slick videos. I like just chilling on this channel and soaking up the vibes, seeing the packaging, exploring some places, marvelling at old food, lovely.
In alternate universe NEW&M started in the mid-90s, hosted on Geocities, has a visitor counter, video clips later provided by RealPlayer.... that sort of thing.

These old food reviews have become something I really look forward to on Saturdays-thanks for making my day off a little more enjoyable!
In the Netherlands, it is Sunday when it arrives! Breakfast video here always!
“Alright, let’s get up into the kitchen.”
“Alright everyone, we are up in the kitchen.”
A man of his word.
Did I just spend a half hour watching a man cook shredded potatoes? Yes.
Am I mad about it? Not at all😆
Love this show those instant hash browns? Never heard of putting sugar in em
That box design is so awesome, I think it looks like it's from the 70s. The company itself was started in 1951, after dehydrating potatoes for WW2 rations. I sometimes bring them with me on long distance hikes and mix them with some dried veggies, cheddar cheese, and salami while living out my pack.
Idahoan makes the best ones
it has a barcode, so can't be from the 70s, dear.
The package design can be.@@templedrake6890
Barcode was a thing in 70s?
@@jishan6992 They weren't invented until 1984
Just was wondering where's Post, he hasn't uploaded in a while, probably on vacation, I hope, glad to see an upload 👍
Very good! I enjoyed this video. From the UK 👍
I stopped going to therapy and watch these videos every Saturday instead.
Oh and I love your autumn shirt and hat!
I showed your video to some other tradies on the job site. Lol, we have a pool on how long you’re going to live if you keep eating all of this vintage food 😂
This guy eats food from rusty cans.
He saids the expiration means the cans expire.
It's the food, and I can't believe he takes such a chance.
It will be just a matter of time.
God help the woman who gets involve with him.
OMG I just discovered your channel and I love it!!!! Love the toilet flushes!!!! You do many things the same way I do. We have allot in common!!! I also have woods behind my house. I also throw scraps in front of trail cameras. I love old stuff!!!! Love your voice and the way you speak. Some people I can't stand to listen to.
Not only are these videos cool to watch, but they’re also interesting to see what holds up over time. Keep it up brother.
Sugar? I'd omit that
Post, great to see you! It seems like forever since your last video. Thanks for wearing your turkey shirt again. I still thought you might change shirts again.😅 It was interesting it held up that well. I do need to send you proper measuring spoons. You just had to show off by walking in the snow barefoot.😅 You the Man! Great video.
You should absolutely find this box from this episode and send in requesting a booklet and then check back in on it
you should get the rubber spoon and flipper for this pan, The metal stuff will scratch it and cause it to flake off then it will start to stick, I bought the ones I have from the dollar store
At first glance I thought it was Hash Brownies.
Please do another bloopers video! I know you mentioned in one of your Q&As that you don't plan on it but my wife and I love your videos and go back to watch your blooper video once every other month. Love your videos and always excited when we see an upload!
Why the hell would you put sugar in hash browns? Doesn't need that, IMO.
How about maple syrup on them? 😋
🤢
this is america bitch, we use sugar
The metal utensils on them metal skillet made me wince a bit lol
I believe that company to be still in business. I had some Idahoan mashed potatoes yesterday from Asda. I’m in the UK and have only seen these products since we left the EU. I actually find the instant mashed potatoes quite nice for a quick and easy meal after a long shift and then going to care for my Grandad, I don’t always have much time for myself so they’re convenient.
Yes, they sell Idahoan instant potatoes in my local grocery store in Pennsylvania.
@@pittstonjomahere in Georgia, too! 😊
You had to brexit in order to get Idahoan taters!? Worth it.
@@zackzittel7683I didn’t vote for Brexit as it goes, I’m not a little Englander! I like the EU!
Yeah your videos and the camping is on the top of my list now. Very thorough explanations..
Missed this channel
Got to see this awhile back on Petreon. Great video as always.
Nice video. Love to see how the old food holds up over time. Really like your shirt too.
Its always a good day when you post. I love your personality and cool old foods . A+
Stepping outside barefoot in that cold weather might’ve been the craziest thing I saw in this video
Wow, hash browns as old as me! I love your old food videos.
Post 10: *zooms into potato shreds*
Me: woah, that’s really what it would look like to be a potato shred, amongst your fellow potato shreds
It was interesting learning about the stove. You made me think of my dad because like you, he would stick his hands close to fire willy nilly lol. The close-ups are good, feels like we're right in the kitchen with you. Til the next vid...
Your content is so wholesome! I truly enjoy everything you post! Keep up the great work!
Big thanks for putting the Celsius numbers. btw I really enjoy your videos :D
Yeppers we are still in business. Idahoan potato processing plant is less than a mile from my house in good ole Rupert, Idaho.
Grew up in Idaho, mom used to make these for us as a kid. Brings back some good memories! Thanks for the vid Post 10! Company is still very much alive.
I’m loving your videos because I’ve come across some of these items at antique malls and wondered what the inside contents look like after all these years. Thank you for satisfying my curiosity
Hey Dave, thanks for posting this video. I love the old food videos
Dave?
@@ann-or6ev it’s his name
@@melodiccanvas I thought it was Post, like Post Malone? Everyone else seems to call him that.
@@bwc1976 people call him that because of his other channel called “Post 10”. However his real name is David.
Hey how do you get or still have these old production items to review? Always entertaining to see. Also so are your driving videos those are THE best
I didn’t know post had another channel. Wonder why UA-cam never recommended it.
Welp, my Saturday evening is now complete! I always look forward to your content my man!
AS A Brit you should try a chip butty french fries in a thick slice of buttered bread sauce it would blow your mind it's popular in the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Real British fish and chips, doesn’t get much better.
I always look forward to new videos from you, thank you for the great uploads 🙌🏻
Tell Mr Toilet not to worry, he'll be getting a version of the hash browns you ate... They'll just be in a different form than what he's used to, lol. 😂😂
That wood stove is awesome
These now come in what looks like tiny milk cartons, open it up, pour in boiling water up to the line, fold it closed, wait 12 minutes then put in a hot pan and fry till browned. Those things are a life saver during hard times
Great video! Just what I needed to end the day! Have a great rest of your weekend!
40 years old 😮.....Was Idaho even a state back then?
July 3rd 1890
U make great content, just found your other channel last week 👍
I could watch these videos all day long. Excellent!
love your videos, potatoes are great! boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew.
I’ve never seen anything like this. You guys have so many interesting products in the USA
I believe you can find something special almost everywhere around the world.
You need a spoon rest from the dollar store to set your cooking utensils on between stirring and no mess on the stove or counter just a small dish to wash !
Consider switching to a head-mounted action camera (like a GoPro) for future recordings. Will free up both your arms. Great content. I can see you hitting 1m by the end of next year 🤙🏼
Awesome video New England 👍
if something is overly greasy, plate it on a paper towel first man.
The hash browns looks like partially cooled lava rocks. (I am commenting as I watch your video, lol. That's why I haven't combined my comments.)
Bros got the thanksgiving drip 🔥
Love it!!! Another option to the toilet or animals is you could compost some of this old food. Then use in your garden and make new food!
It might encourage bears😮
@@ann-or6ev I mean I don’t think Post is worried about that. He leaves food out and gets excited when he catches bears on Vid. I’m just saying mix this old food up with some soil and create nutrients and good bacteria and suck to make new food. Go full circle!
@@OneStrangeJourney He should be. Feeding wild animals like he does is a bad idea. Most bears that learn to search around human dwellings for food end up having to be destroyed. There's a saying among wildlife managers that a "fed bear is a dead bear."
@@jessiezgurski6334 he does it out in the woods away from his home.
His property isn't that big. He's also shown videos of bears getting into his trash and he has shown himself throwing food like pizza right out his door so animals like bears can find it. It's not a good idea to feed stuff like that to wildlife.@@OneStrangeJourney
Love your turkey shirt! I'm enjoying all of your old food adventures so much. The strange sodas were fun too. My outside critters love left-overs and anything mixed with bacon grease. Thanks Post. Keep 'em coming! P.S. Isn't it wonderful to live in the woods where you can have what you darn well please out on your property with no neighbors to complain?
Merry Christmas dude, Luv you.
Hashbrowns are never bad! Btw man, I enjoy your channel and reviewing and opening expired stuff. Keep 'er going!
Spring clip clothespins work way better than a rubber band or plastic clips for bags. 👍👍Great review!
If you do this again or just do it with regular shredded potatoes, you can drain in a colander and then empty the wet potatoes on a few layers of paper towel and then gather them up and squeeze them until no more water comes out. They will be perfect for frying then.
another fun video :)
have you thought about a lapel mic?
They make decent insta-mash potatoes with different flavors if you're in a hurry and they're only a buck or so.
the plain is great as a cheat for thickening soups and stews too :9
Always very interesting content!
Thanks for the uploads and mmmm hash browns ,👍🏼🇬🇧
This is great content. I hope the animals enjoyed some of that hash brown!
Dude you’re videos are great I love the camping videos also 👍
Another brilliant video post . I love these video's .
It has a date code on the box, it says it's from '78, also the logo/decoration seems to correspond to late 70s style (but that's not much of an indication because some food products keep their designs for decades, like Tabasco did).
Yum! (Why risk yourself.... *Sobs quietly*)
This is my favorite UA-cam show 🙂
Cover when you are rehydrating.
Your third try you were close.
Put them in the pan thick, level them and don't touch them.
When the bottom browns flip the whole pile, and brown the other side.
Then they will stick together just like a dinner.
Make them all the time, same brand (just not old. they come a little "milk like" carton now)
Those little heat reactive fans on top of the wood burner are awesome. Thats really cool, its using the heat energy and at the same time its kind of circulating the hot air.
Happy Holidays, Post 10
It's funny how everything but the grown in Idaho label has changed also love the spoon so pretty
I guarantee this guy has a very interesting browser search history
Love your videos. Not bad for 40 years old 🥔
That box design had been around since the 60s... has a bar code so I'm leaning towards lat 70s early 80s... its more like 50 years old!
I'm sure there might have been some bugs in there. Great video.
All that butter and oil the raccoons will be packing on some winter fat 😂
What actually makes the musty off ness?
Interesting. 🥔 I just checked my local grocer's website. This brand has about a dozen flavors of the mashed variety... no more hash browns... but they do have one for cheesy scalloped.
They have really good instant mashed potatoes. I'm not a fan, usually, of instant potatoes, but I will eat the Idohoan ones. Lots of different varieties of the instant potatoes from this brand.
@@gmanandhislady Yes, I was astonished. Some might be fun to try now that I know of a reliable brand.
loving ur channel sinve I found itm kinda addicted now!!! Liked and subscribed, keep it up!!!
I just like hearing this guys voice. The food is a bonus
I might be wrong but I think the directions were implying that you put the skillet in the oven and then cook for 375.
I disagree respectively.
"Over" medium-high heat. Implying the stove top.
Cook for 375 what? Minutes?
I have the same silverware. Wait till you wash the finish off 😢
What is the fireplace brand? It looks really nice!
I scanned the barcode on the pack but it didnt come up with anything on google
Love when the prices used to be in cents.
I don't bother to set the clocks on my stove or microwave anymore, because it seems like the power goes out every time I do.
Interesting- I usually buy the frozen hash browns, but they are often hard to find.
Happy Holidays! 🎄
I love your videos. Watching your video made our Cleveland Browns loss tolerable
how didnt you get a food poisoning yet? i dont get it
Thats the one thing I for some reason thought might hold up for its age
Really enjoy your stuff. Thank you
Best show ever made.
