Everybody can probably tell that these videos were made a long time ago in advance. This was in october when I actually made this video, but I had plans for it to be posted at this exact time. That's why it's christmas themed. This is the last video I have backlogged for this channel. In January, I plan on making at least one video here. We will start fresh in January. I hope this video was interesting. Thanks for watching and have a great day
I see you get a lot of rude comments, but you don't deserve them. You're such a wholesome guy with a very amazing channel. You kind of remind me of a old family member that sadly passed away a few years ago. Your videos bring back good memories, thx for posting!
Tacos made with spaghetti sauce and chili mix - that's a new one! I think what I like about you is that you dance to the beat of your own drummer. You do not restrict yourself to follow the norm. I truly wish I could more like you!
Chili on spaghetti is a common thing. Most Anglo-Midwestern chili recipes are a hamburger spaghetti sauce with beans and chili powder thrown in. At a chili cook-off, another contestant asked why I was browning flour and what was Comino Powder.. I won.
Appreciate the thorough safety disclaimer! It’s great to see someone emphasizing responsible exploration. Also, making tacos with 1980s chili mix? Now that’s the kind of culinary adventure I didn’t know I needed! 🍴😂
Your taco mix looks delicious! I've wanted to tell you a couple things for a while... 1. When your asparagus is established, you can cut it back in September and it will produce spears again until it freezes. 2. If you have peppers that you can't use before they go soft, you can cut them up and put them in a zip bag and pop them in your freezer. They're perfect for cooking with later. A real time saver, too. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
@shannon8254 true but it is something that occurs naturally and safe to ingest in small amounts. It's actual use is as an anti-caking agent. Sorry to sound nerdy but you just happened to hit on my specialism. 🤓
I love how you trust your instincts as to whether the food is safe to consume rather than just looking at the best by date and dismissing it as unfit. Great video!
Great to see you back with more vintage food and beverages especially with the chili mix for tacos from the 80's have a great Christmas and thank you.🎄🌮🌮🎄
A lot of people trash Cincinnati style chili but what most don't get is that it was never meant to be made like most chili that people make in the US. It is a Greek meat sauce typically paired with pasta much more similar to an Italian Bolognese. The biggest difference between the style of chili here in the US versus μακαρόνια με κιμά is the style of cheese (Cheddar) and the amount. I suspect the choice of cheese was both to be more in line with what Americans are used to but also and probably more likely the expense of importing Greek cheese. There are some other differences in ingredients but I've eaten both many times and it is quite similar.
I love cooking and eating with you, post! For me it's less about the product's or so ..its more about just doing things with post 💛⭐ you are calming and healing and I love your garden and the nature you're always going. May you, your girl, your family be blessed and I wish you a merry Christmas ⭐🎄💖
This is ‘Cincinnati Chili 🌶️’ so I’m thinking it cost way more today. Thank you for your very interesting videos! I’m sure glad to have found your channel(s)! They’re really informative and fun to watch!❤Greetings from North Carolina!
Always a nice surprise getting a notification from your channel. I first tried Cincinnati Syline chili/spaghetti while trucking cross country. The cinnamon flavor was unusual for sure. I couldn’t decide whether I loved it or hated it.🐾😂 Merry Christmas!✨🎄✨🎅🏼
Many years ago we decided to change the traditional baked beans & hotdogs every Saturday night to Saturday night taco night. It was a nice change for awhile, but as true Mainers - we ended up back to the beans 'n dogs, lol. Merry Christmas, Post!
@Post10 You should do more cooking videos. You are very good and entertaining at it! Something I completely stink at, your creations make me want to try and not just microwave junk lol
Always a fan of your content! I find it neat you consume products that old too! Some are nostalgic for me too as well growing up in the super late 90s early 00s and seeing familiar packaging too. I also love you setup in your room as well with all the old containers and mugs.
Cincinnati style chili is a thinner chili, more of a wet meat sauce than actual thick chili. Growing up close to Cincinnati with family from the area, Skyline was their favorite, I never understood why it was so loved.
@ducewags id make it out steel but keep a wood pole or maybe pvc. Then he could screw sections on it for clogs just out of reach. I got a plasma cnc table so I could make whatever
You are a amazing cook❤. Looks delicious 🤤 I really enjoy ALL your videos . Love the shirt as well so 😎. I could tell the video was made a different time because of your haircut. It doesn't matter when you film and decide to put out YOUR videos. I find them all interesting and enjoy everyone of them. I think you are a interesting person and very intelligent. Don't give the haters any time, they clearly have no life and seek validation from other haters as well as they have no channel that is a success like yours are!! ❤😊 Remember you are living your best life 🎉 Georgia Fan 🙌
im from northern kentucky and goldstar chilli which is cincinatti chilli company puts chocolate in their chilli and it works. so does the orginal chilli house in cincinnati. and skyline which is another chilli company here uses what you had cinnamon nutmeg etc .
You brown the meat first in the bottom of a pot. Mix the tomato paste, the six cups of water, and the seasoning packet in a bowl and then pour it into the pot with the meat. Stir it together. Let it simmer and reduce and stir it occasionally.
Interesting. I wonder if some of the ingredients from the packet lose more flavour over time? That’s why you predominantly got pumpkin pie taste as the heat elements from the ingredients had disintegrated? Anyone know?
So basically this almost like Skyline Chili? I've had it once or twice. I'm just not a fan of Cincinatti style chili. My chili needs to be thick, a little spicy, and tomato based. Cloved and cinnamon in chili isn't really my thing lol
13:33 i LOVE your method of chopping😂 im a slightly below average cook and never seem to chop thing right. I will be trying this method for tomorrow’s dinner 😅 hopefully i dont chop a finger
@@NewEnglandWildlifeAndMore We didn’t hear anything about the tortoise (or turtle) that you had in your yard last year. I remember he went under a shed or something and you said that you were going to bury him for the winter but we haven’t seen him since. Is he ok?
Your description of Cincinnati chili tasting like pumpkin pie is pretty close. I usually describe it as cinnamon dog food. I definitely do not have a taste for it. 😂

Amazed that all the ingredients had names we’d all recognise as actual food.
Silicon dioxide is on the 1980s chili packet, and it is a preservative.

You can put that Ragu sauce in the freezer after opening it, you can then defrost it at a later date when you need to use it.

How you opened those tortillas might trigger ppl 😂😂😂
Those green jalapenos are still ripe, they get spicier the redder they turn though. A red jalapeno is much more spicy than a green one.
Maybe all the water is for boiling the spaghetti?
Ooh 'silicon dioxide' yum yum 😂

OMG that knife technique
Store your open spagetti sauce jar upside down in tbe fridge and it lasts for ages without going bad

🤔 So it says not to brown first and drain grease?
Lean ground beef not 80/20. Not much fat to drain off.
I love your shirt so much!
Some sour cream would go with that.
Ouu Chili Spaghetti sounds like it’d be so good!! You just gave me an idea lol 😂 thank youuu!

Mostly country and classic rock
There was a restaurant back in the 80s called Cincinnati Chili. I ate there once.
Love my Cincinnati chili. I guarantee that packet was sold at Kroger. Lol.
Wow, I love that Turkey’s have gone from petrified to coming and knocking on your window 😂🦃
They quit selling RAGU in Canada a while back, what a rip off it's good sauce
Same with Welches grape jelly. The only thing I like with peanut butter.
