I feel like David could be any age between 17 and 37
Truth
He is.
So true! His voice is still changing. (c;
Reminds me of a guy I knew in HS. It’s been twenty years, and he’s a marine. But he looks like a teenage boy’s head is on a thirty five year old ripped guy’s body
He's 29, so a little closer to 37 than 17, but if a saw him on a skateboard or something i would totally assume he was a teenager.
Hiii I’m the owner of the Twin Turbo Superleggera☺️ it was great fun having you here!
Beautiful car.
Take me on a ride, I've never been in a Lamborghini or high horsepower car😂 I'm from RT681 🌊
My dream car, congrats
Rafalevlogs post pls some car vids
@@VINwiki I thought you were gonna ask for the vin.
It'a pretty crazy how a passion for cars can connect complete strangers across the globe and unite them as one. Truly amazing.
A wonderful thing
@@blakelip3 indeed
MaxSpeed I swear I see you commenting on a lot of videos and getting a ton shit of liked
Absolutely. Some of the best friends I have ever made have been due to a passion for cars. I once drove 6 hours to party with a bunch of people I had never met in person, only online, because we all owned similar cars.
@@insight236 lol hi dude. I think its cuz ppl can relate to what i said
Hey that's us! 🤣 Best night ever... Can't wait for the next one!
I’m Mexican and I was raised by my Bori family, and I must say that I have never met anyone as united and as happy as them no drugs or alcohol needed. 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷 PUERTO RICO THIS MXICAN LOOOOVES YOU, ESTOY HECHO DE ARROZ CON GANDULES COMO RESI
It isn’t often my love of cars and hatred of government gets to geek out on the magic phrase “privately owned bridge”.
The People of Puerto Rico are awesome. I know a few people who grew up there and I can't say enough nice things about them, their values, and their character.🇺🇸🇵🇷
Absolutely! 👍😎🍺
Thanks man
Oh yeah once you get past the gang land shootings over pretty much nothing and at any age there great and that is not sarcasm it is dangerous but they do have quiet the car culture seen whatever you want to call it and it is a huge commitment for them since car parts and cars are so much so when you loose your shit well you loose your shit hense violence i was just speaking of
@@mariahnicole232violence? That's in the projects. You go to my town and u can sleep with the doors open and nothing happens..something that you can't do here in the mainland
@@mariahnicole232 Because they're Latino right Mariah?...Is THAT what you're saying?...Huh? 😏
Wassup everyone from puerto rico 🇵🇷
Wassssaaah from Texas
As soon I the name blows my mind!
¡Guauu! Ustedes saben lo que estás haciendo ahí abajo. Los autos épicos, la comunidad muy unida y la policía te dejan en paz. ¿Qué más podría querer un chico de autos?
Miami Puertorock
WEEEEEEPAAAAAAA!!
I am so happy to see David continue to get these amazing opportunities in the car world. He is a true lover of all things automotive and a great ambassador for the community. Thank you for the stories!
As puertorican this video makes me feel proud of our car culture.. thanks for the good feedback
Since I was a teenager growing up in Puerto Rico in the 70s, the car fever culture has always been strong! It's just starting to get knoticed more now! Puertoricans love their cars and driving.✌😎👉❤🇵🇷🚘
Hobbs: "Turn around and put your hands behind your back, Boy"
Torretto: " Your problem is you're thinking you're in America. You're a long way from home. This is...PUERTO RICO!!!"
I couldn’t help but read that in an incoherent guttural voice Vin Diesel uses in these movies
“(Incoherent deep growling)... Family... (more growling)”
You take the win
My first memories of cars is my neighbor across the street. This was in Villa Rica subdivision, Bayamon Purto Rico around 1980. Across from our house was a guy nicknamed "Papo Rotor" needless to say me and my brother were always glued to the gates of the porch listening to the "rrrattat tat tat" all day Papo rev these RX7s and Cosmos to the moon all day long.
I've always wanted to visit PR. Cars are like their national pastime!
Arne's Antics You would love it.
You're not wrong. Like Luis Mariano told Dennis Gage once, there's at least one car event every week going on in PR.
Arne's Antics the love for cars in pr is insane
Puerto Rico dude here, I’m glad y’all could learn and feel the experience of what an island car community is and how we do things around here, even with the smallest things, we make the biggest projects, and we are happy to introduce it to y’all
I had no idea it was this big. I have an ebay store that sells parts for Buick Grand Nationals and I'm amazed how often I mail to Puerto Rico. No idea how many GNs are there, but I was really surprised to see the exotics too.
PUERTO RICO 🇵🇷🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the love David 🙏🏼
Last time I was this early Ed still had the cannonball record!
Ouch
@@EdBolian Ed don't give up still you can break the record " again "
BURN!!!!!!!
Ed Bolian I was wondering what is the oldest car to do the cannonball
Ouch, to soon mate, to soon
"didnt know PR had such a strong love for cars" must know zero puerto ricans, they LOVE super modded honda's like nothing else ive ever seen
This just in, someone broke the record of the guys that broke eds records. Ed will be back soon to pretend to congratulate the guys but clearly just be pissed that be introduced the new team to each other. I get why ed is pissed. Its like when u introduce your friend to your crush and he bags her instead
jim bob yea the all motor class at imports vs domestics is essentially all hondas with a couple camaros and mustangs. And they all happen to be puerto rican. They know their rotaries really well too.
Do they still attach a Puerto Rican flag to cover the hood? I grew up in NJ and there was never a question about PR Pride and there love for cars. I'm sure things have changed since the 80's but back then, they used to bolt on every piece of flashy chrome they could fine at the parts store. There was a term called "Puerto Rican'd out" That's when you had gone too far.
Woody Balto yea they do rep the flag some cars have the flag painted some just carry it on the back.
Rotary scene > Honda scene
Dedication is wanting to go to PR so he gets a PR girlfriend as a prerequisite.
That is so funny really laughing from that comment love it
PUERTO RICO EN LA CASAAAA🇵🇷
Puerto Rico en la casa!!!!!!!
Saludos a todos mis Boricuas🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
1st time i drove a car over 1,000 HP was in Puerto Rico. And it was exactly like that, the guy gave me the keys to his GT-R... scary fast!
Been to Puerto Rico once in 2015, I can agree! They're a madhouse who loves their tuners
I know a guy in Mexico that has a 64 Chevy Corvair Greenbrier that he has to have inspected annually. He does exactly what you said, swaps out the performance carbs, and mods for inspection. Then swaps it all back! He's driven that van deep into the US many times! He's a really cool guy who loves classic cars! Cars and music are what bring countries together!
Lol, this is funny. I’m Puerto Rican and I go there every year. The cars are nuts for sure and there, they really will drive ANYTHING on the road. I’ve seen quads, motorized bicycles, to even 6 seater sand rails. It seems like in Puerto Rico you can get a license plate to drive anything on the road.
Best time of day is when VINwiki posts
Yeah wipe the brown off your nose
Thanks for representing the island 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷 And yes, Boricuas are 💯 nuts about cars, especially Rotaries
Last time I was this early, the Mondeo was still part of the rental fleet
I live in Bayamónand ive lived in this house all my life and to be honest, 80% of everynight that ive been alive ive heard tuned street cars passing behind my house. They meet up in the parking lot of a convenience store thats like 5 minutes away.
It makes me so happy to see my islands car culture get some recognition ♡♡♡. Loved this video
I bought a 93 mustang cobra that spent its entire life in Puerto rico. Still has the inspection decal on the windshield. I can tell they definitely take pride in their cars. There was all these custom made plates mounted throughout the car representing number build, cobra logos and even made a special plaque for the SVT certificate. I get in it and wonder how many stories it could tell.
You guys need to fix the audio whenever you have Dave on.
The Philippines has a cool car culture as well. There’s a lot of hand built Jeeps in the Philippines that you have trouble telling from the real deal.
Where my Puerto Ricans at?!?!?! 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
New York has a large Puerto Rican population and every single car show they hands down have THE CLEANEST classic JDM cars. Especially 70's-80's Toyotas and Mazda's. It's like ricing out a car just isn't in their culture.
Puerto Rico doing that for decades as a kid I remember they always coming St Croix Virgin Islands to race when ever you hear they are going where you at trust me go them guys would bring a lil Toyota and beat the fastest car on the track
🇵🇷 I never met a Puerto Rican man that didn't know about cars.
Car culture and Puerto Ricans are synonymous.
As a Puerto Rican myself, growing up in the 70's and 80's in the bronx new york, every Puerto Rican kid's dad was a mechanic, working on their own cars and the cars of others.
People with more money would pay someone else to fix their cars.
Oftentimes, they paid a Puerto Rican. 😎🤓😁❤
Back in the late 90’s it was even crazier...
I need to have a go on that bridge
You'll love it even with a Nissan Versa. Is a rush!!!
Good news is that the airport exit literally leads to it, now bad part is paying for the toll don't remember if it's 5 or 7 bucks to pass. Also if you d9nt plan on going there the last exit before you can easily miss it.
Thought this was going to be a John from Curated story, but surprise, it's David! Great story! I love PR, I've never been. It's literally America, and all the people there are Americans just like you and me. But its still different, and closest to leaving the US without actually leaving the US.
David is such an awesome dude. Enjoy seeing him on here!
Sending love from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Last time I was this early, there was no established lap time for a Senner.
*Senna ?
Probably making fun of the way Tim or shmee150 says Senna
Definitely.
There's a matching pair of 600 /675LT with roof scopes in 🇵🇷
an interesting fact, in Carolina there was the Carolina speedway, and it was sold to large interests and now there is no track to run in San Juan 🇵🇷
BORICUAAAA 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷 Jeeps! RX7s!!
Keep up the great work Ed!!
Thanks so much. We will.
Shout out PR!
Puerto Rico is serious bussines 🇵🇷🔥
"It's a lot more relaxed there". Son, you have no idea.
Hell yeah! Love seeing David on here!!!
To be honest the car culture here is very cool. And amazing especially the classic cars.
Yes!! David on VinWiki Car Stories!
Every Puerto Rican guy I know has a modded ride... I think it might be where the term River comes from...
I've
Gone to English town race track in Jersey to bring cars to race and seen cars come from Puerto Rico to race. Love it.. they are awesome.
David is definitely a true enthusiast
Excellent video and excellent channel. great job guys .I LOVE PUERTO RICO🇵🇷
A lot of people from PR live here in Tokyo believe it or not and quite a few of those folks have the baddest RX7s I've ever seen lol I've lived in Japan almost 6 years now and the only RX-3 I've ever seen here had a 20B and the owner was from PR 🤣
That sounds about right for a Puerto Rican up there.
I want more e36 content from him
David come back to Puerto Rico!!!
They should sell Avalon Kings at Burger Kings
PR got some of the dopest and fastest cars in existence
Don KiksBiscuits el humilde fastest corolla in the world
I’m from Puerto Rico🙌🏼🙌🏼
Last time I was this early, Ed still had the cannonball record.
FilipD. Someone copied you
Nikita Navrotsky that was expected, this was so fitting I couldn’t have been the only one thinking of that
Doh!!!
This makes me wants to go to more car meets but I can never find any around me.
North of Spain gang :((
Puerto Ricans are car geeks... of all cars. I still own a mk5 GTI swapped mk3 Jetta and a supercharged 4th gen V8 4Runner on the island. Even my sister, who is a super hippie whose CONUS equivalent wouldn't care about cars, drives a tuned 6-speed Passat (although it looks stock)
A bit of trivia, prior to PR's economic downturn in the late 90s, PR had the most Porsche vehicles per capita of anywhere on the planet. This was before the Cayenne, Panamera, and Macan were a thing. Growing up they were so common, that I didn't realize how special they were.
Now, wealthier car geeks are privately importing Teslas for the speed, even though they're completely uninsurable in PR (due to lack of official support)
There's official Tesla support, a handful of techs fly in once a month for major maintenance work, but electric car shops are spreading like wildfires. Also, the amount of Teslas in PR is staggering, especially in the west side.
Louis Subearth I know about them, but I mean Tesla’s unwillingness to send parts to repair accident Teslas on the island, have made them claims involving them far more expensive than comparable ICE vehicles.
Just last month, my dad looked at importing a Model X and literally every single insurer he called says they won’t touch it.
Sounds like a good time.
David always gives such good vibes... gotta love the dude.
Best drag racing event in PR is the thanksgiving eve race it’s the closer for racing season in PR since everyone in the island take their Christmas holiday seriously so everyone brings their A+ game to that race
When I went there all I saw was civic hatchbacks with the rear raised up. Never seen anything like it.
You sure they were not Mirages and not civics?
Here where I live I've seen cars "choppiado" to the point them motherfukas are straight going up a road. Really hard to explain it.
When Car guys make it on to vinwiki thats a badge thats saysYES!! I MADE IT LOOK AT ME MOM!!! love this channel
Rico is a pioneer of drag racing
Im from the Dominican Republic, and I can totally relate to this story. Awesome vid btw!
English+Spanish=the United Nations?
A real cultural Mecca he had there
watched the video you filmed. will add to my list of places to visit!
He's gonna be in for a real surprise if he ever visits little San Juan...I mean Orlando.
Old Яomans I’ll be in Orlando in 2 weeks I miss la fiebre there... is been a long time I lost all my connections there
Much respect 💯
AYEEEE DE PR PAL MUNDO
So cool that fast 5 was shot there. I bet it was recommended by someone who knew the scene, but then some higher up wanted to make it brazil
PR represent! 🇵🇷 Also, am I the only one contributing PR cars to VINWiki or are there more users in the island with me?
Welp, that bridge can expect my visit in the next few years.
Yeahhhh Puerto Rico fam 🇵🇷
Ed, what do YOU think? Because I think you should go participate win an event there!
Puerto Rico has been known for having fast cars
I’m a bit younger and my family has a place in Puerto Rico and one day we were rolling out of our gate and this pack of Porsche’s and a Maserati a lambo come flying by and that’s when I knew I was missing out on something there. Still Need to check it out further 😂
one of my favorite story's yet he has real oassion
7:05 I believe I was actually there when this shot was filmed, I saw that R34 in two different days, that road is on my way home from work near the mall.
I wouldn't be surprised if the car next to the guy filming was actually mine own.
Eyyyy PR en la casa 🔥🇵🇷
Happy Friday! Have a great day and a relaxing yet productive weekend!
I remember growing up in Puerto Rico I did a lot street drag racing… La fiebre! 😂😂😂
This is so sick
In cali my auto body team is a from the 50 60 and 70s and so i usually stand in the middle of the street stoppin traffic 😂😂
Maryland born and raised! MIR home to the world cup:imports vs domestics sponsord by haltech. Had a blast this year!
Nice video thank you for how u talk about our island
It’s a weekly ritual in Puerto Rico I remember when I was younger my cousins took me to my first car meet in Puerto Rico the love for cars in Puerto Rico is one of the biggest In the world
David is the man.
Great story. Us Latinos are super into cars!!
It’s nothing compared to Atlanta, I always find it funny how he lives in Atlanta but never mentions some of crazy take overs that happen, I have videos on my channel of it
BMW Royal takeovers are LAMEE!
That's because takeovers are giving an excuse for cops to harass anyone with a modded car all over the place. By endorsing it your part of the problem, and seriously the majority of what happens at them is embarrassing
Car culture is strong in PR. We learned from the mainland. Wish the cops were a bit more lax when I go to Florida tho 😂
Ed, you and your guys should visit some time. I promise it will be a fun time!
Bruh if you grow up around Puerto Rican’s one of the first things you learn is Puerto Rico’s love of car culture 😂😂
