I spent 36 hours in PR right before Covid hit - literally left on Feb 24 2020. Got to see a couple forts and ate some amazing food and met some wonderful people. I'm glad you had a positive experience! I can't wait to go back and experience more myself.

Two of my favorite memories are from Puerto Rico. The kioskos in Luquillo Beach specifically El Jefe's Burger Shack. and the Vieques island bioluminescent bay.
