This song is about realizing that everything is from Hashem and we need to realize we don't know or understand everything in every situation. And the best we can do is try to be the best human being we can in every situation.
The dancers wearing the tzitzit on top of the black t-shirts was just for the visuals in this video. It does make sense to wear them underneath, as many do. Ultimately, it’s up to personal preference and/or which sect or community someone follows, that determines dress code. As you’ve seen from the many videos, clothes and outfits can vary dramatically.

The commandment is for men to not dress like women and vice-versa. What is considered Men's clothing or women's clothing spends on the time and place.
In Scotland a Kilt is not considered women's clothing, and in middle-eastern countries men traditionally wear robes, so in those places there is no problem for a man to wear place-appropriate clothing.
My brother was a Rabbi in Edenborough many years ago, and on certain formal events who would wear a kilt, when that was considered appropriate dress code.
Jews in Scotland do wear kilts for formal occasions, I've seen it! It is probably permitted because kilts are specifically for men (right?)
That's a good question. I suppose you may have a point that kilts are for men, however the girls in my highschool wore kilts as well. Pleated kilt to be exact, which might be considered a different type of kilt? Haha, I literally have no idea 😂
AFAIK a Jew in Scotland can wear a kilt when necessary because it's considered a man's outfit there. In other places it would be considered women's clothes. Context is important.

So you might see them playing with the knot sometimes, cuz some people will check each morning (by the prayers) and tighten the top knot, so it doesn't open up after time ..
The tzitzis (or tzitzit, depending on where you come from) are generally worn all day, underneath the shirt on top of the undershirt. Some people put it above the shirt if they're going to be active and sweat, to not get it dirty like in the summer. That's probably what he was going for in this.

Also, the song title translates to: “everything is from heaven”. Meaning, that it’s all directed from above and we can’t see the big picture. Hakol = Everything. Mishamayim = From Heaven. (Shamayim means ‘heaven’, the prefix mi means ‘from’. Hence, mi-shanayim.)

Regarding kilts, yes, kilts are men's clothing in Scotland, and men can wear it there.

That’s kind of what the men are doing when you see them studying the Gemara! People make observations about Jewish people doing well in business etc (with a negative connotation) and you look around and it makes you wonder bc you can’t deny that it exists. But what people don’t realize is that we are trained to think out of the box, think creatively, develop an extensive thought process and learn all the time from young age. These skills may just lend themselves to a business mind. It’s not some insidious evil plan of domination. Can’t it just be culture, work ethic, a focus on community building and on development of helpful critical thinking skills?

About the mezuzah thing, I definitely touch the doorpost even when there's no mezuzah. But that's purely out of habit! 😄 There's no actual value in that.
When a doorpost had a mezuzah and was taken down briefly (to get checked, etc.) one should still kiss the place where it was.
The "tzitzit" is handmade and that video you saw em making the knots it was a shot view of how you put the strings together to make it tzitzit

To answer some questions
1) the tzitizis knots are always tied on. You just have to check periodically that they don't get loose or get tangled
2) if there's no mezuza on the door you don't kiss the frame because the only holiness of the door post is in the scroll

It always has the knots. Most people wear it under the shirt. The song is saying every moment is from the heavens and the will of heaven. He is saying even things that seem like inconveniences are part of a bigger picture you can't see. The mezuzah is only for Jewish owned permanent residences. In terms of cross-dressing for Jewish people, it usually has to do with the common associations in your area, so kilts are up for debate, and you would ask your local rav for advice.

There are always ties in it, but with them they are untied and need to be tied

while they are very well related to Scotland - the Bagpipe is actually the most universally independently discovered instrument around the world. The difference is how many "drones" each has - Scottish "highland" pipes have 3 drones, whereas bagpipes originating in Pakistan have a single drone.

Regarding the kilts question, its not too abstract at all! Jews (both religious and not) can be found almost anywhere in the world, and there are Scottish Jewish Orthodox men who wear kilts!

Where one wears the tsitsith garment is dependent upon custom and age and geography! Generally, it's worn under the shirt. Chassidic and/or so-called ultra-othodox more often wear above shirt, beneath jacket. Kids generally wear underneath shirt, though in Jerusalem ultra-orthodox, u'll often see them worn on top of shirt.

The M at the and of "Hakol Mishamayim" (say everything from the sky, meaning everything it is god dids) it is not silent at all, but he got a strong american accent.

1/2. There are two types of "religious garments." The problem is that the naming gets confusing. Both of them are 4-cornered garments with the 'tzitzis' strings/knots attached (they're only tied once on installation, although the one on the end can come loose so that may need to be tightened periodically). The big one (called a 'prayer shawl' in english) is a Tallis/Tallit, or occasionally a Tallis Gadol (for 'large tallis'). It's just a large rectangle that we wrap around us for prayers or other special occasions.
The smaller one gets confusing because we colloquially call it 'tzitis' after the strings/knots, even though the larger one has the same things. Some people call it a 'Tallis katan' (for 'small tallis') which makes more sense, but isn't really used in the Yeshivish/Chassidish worlds. Boys/men wear that all day every day, generally under the shirt (like Mordechai is in the video), but there are people who wear it over their shirt- it's just a custom thing.
3. No, we only kiss a mezuzah if it's actually there, but force of habit kicks in sometimes. ;)
4. The kilt question is a good one, and yeah, doesn't come up that often! I would assume yes, if it's considered men's clothing, it would be ok in the location. The reason women don't wear pants is partially because of cross-dressing, but also because they're considered immodest.
5. 'Mi-shuh-ma-yeem' or 'Me-shuh-ma-yim', it can be both, (although technically it's 'Me-shuh-ma-yeem', but people colloquially don't go there very often) but yes, with the 'm.'

Boy what an error I made. I thought I had the correct term with the garments. I knew that the Tallis was the shawl for prayers, and that the Tzitzis was the strings. Didn't know just the "poncho" was a Tzitis 🤦.
Also, why do the yeshivish/chassidish not use them?
"Tzitis" was a typo. It's "tzitzis", the same word as the strings are called. The yeshivish and chassidish wear them, but generally don't refer to them as a tallis katan. We just call the whole garment "tzitzis" since the strings are the important part.

A "mzuzah" contain a special quote from the holly book writen on parchment in en holly ceremonual way. if you dont have that parchment you dont have a reason t kiss it.

The prohibition is on men wearing women's clothing and vice-versa. So long as the clothing is designed and meant for men, it would be permissible. So it would fluctuate based on the culture/society the person was in. In Scotland a kilt is a normal male garment, so it is permitted.
A kilt is man's clothes. So they can weird it. But it is indeed a good question. Based on that some more modern women wear pants that are meant for women.

In regards to crossdressing the standard is dictated per what is normal in each local
regarding shorts and clothing, in the jewish communities most of the hasidic jewish people wear classic clothing so when everybody wears classy you dont want to be the one that wears something completely different because everybody will stare at you but really there are no major rules for men what they are aloud to wear and what not, even when a hasidic jew goes on vacation to someplace they will mostly remain with there clothes they usually were because its kind of tradition but not a rule. Hasidic women can wear what they want as long as they are covered and again most of it is black because its classy and everybody in the hasidic communities wears that dont ask me y

Obviously mezuzahs are ONLY for jewish owned homes and businesses. If it's a non jewish owned office or business or hotel, there is no mezuzah and one just walks in, and even sleeps in the hotelroom, without kissing anything... No point in touching a door frame that has nothing on it...

I'm not an authority on Jewish law (Halachah), but I imagine a Scottish Kilt would be permitted for a man because it's a man's garment, so it wouldn't be defined as cross-dressing.
