The guys listening to Stan Lee are the Watchers. A race of interplanetary observers. They have an oath not to interfere with a planet(good or bad). Only one, Uatu, has broken that path multiple time to aid the earth, primarily the Fantastic Four.

It took me a second watch to catch the significance of Drax saving Mantis, carrying her and holding her over his head as he's swallowed up by the soil. At first I thought he was just being a good guy but then I remembered the scene earlier when he told her that she reminded him of his daughter. Deeper than I first realized.
Kristen: You're going to be safe right here. Right here.

One of my favorite stupid jokes. "Drax asked if scotch tape will do."

Fun fact: That intro with the opening credits with baby Groot’s dance was choreographed and danced by the director, James Gunn. The whole sequence took about 2 years to get the CG fully rendered
I said in Kristen’s reaction to Vol 1 that my mom passed away from cancer complications a year after it came out. And how it was her favorite marvel movie because of not only the story, but the amazing soundtrack filled with songs that she grew up with. So when I heard the new soundtrack in this, I couldn’t help but think how much she would’ve loved these songs.
But what really got me was the funeral for Yondu. My dad left me and my mom before I was born, and I never had a father figure in my life, even though I was open to finding one. So while I never knew what it was like to have a father, my mom did double the work, so I absolutely broke down hearing the song Father And Son and thinking about my mom. I know she would’ve loved this movie.

idk but this channel has been lacking lately, they have also deleted comments like ours...
The editing for this one sucked - all the key moments were cut out.😡. I watched this primarily to see how she’d react to those scenes , it’s what makes the movies worth it. Her reactions to sensitive moment are genuine because she gives it naturally. I appreciate that about her, this reaction felt like she held back intentionally 😢

3 movies before Avengers Infinity War now:
Spider-Man Homecoming, Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther. They are all pretty solid films. Incredible how solid was MCU Phase 3.
James Gunn stated that Groot stops dancing when Drax looks at him because “Dancing is ludicrous to Drax" and Groot thought if Drax saw him dance, "he would kill him.”
I prefer the theory that Groot doesn't dance in front of Drax to show he cares for him, because another person Drax cared for was his wife, who also didn't dance.
This movie definitely turned up everything from the first. It has more galactic visual effects, baby Groot is super adorable, and of course the dialogue got a whole lot funnier. I’m not even kidding, these are the lines that always got a chuckle out of me;
“You name is… it’s Taserface?”
“You’d think as an evil supervillain would learn how to properly lie.”
“Out of the way, dumber smaller Groot!”
Guys you should have put Kristen's reaction to Yondu's funeral in the UA-cam reaction, I really was waiting for that. Kinda felt I wanted to cry with her ☹️ now I feel like I'm crying because I didn't get to share that feeling 😭😅
He may have been your father boy, but he wasn't your daddy.
His father was Snake Plissken and his daddy was Mary Poppins what's quite confusing when you think about it.
Yondu was a child-trafficker who delivered thousands of children to be murdered... and you let music and visuals convince you to see him as the redeemed daddy of a child he kidnapped, enslaved, tortured, and forced to commit crimes.
I love how Groot always mess with Drax and then they have such sweet moment in the end.
Kristen when you watch guardians of the Galaxy volume three prepare yourself because if you thought you got emotional by watching Armageddon, just prepare yourself, my friend

Not talked up enough is not that the visuals are great but rather the actual ideas they put on film. Great and all of these films. And extra credit for not just putting "this would look cool" on the screen but bothering to always work a reasoning into the plot. The sister arc is otherwise probably my favorite bit of this. Another not talked up part is how important a character Nebula is to the whole MCU and how much Gillan's performances provide to the overall enjoyment of these films.

The reason Mantis wanted to confess Ego's wrongdoings to Drax was because she understood how parents are supposed to feel when losing their child when she touched Drax . Ego's sadness was not because he misses his children or sadness that they died, the thing that keeps him up at night is having his dream being out of reach. The pond scene has always been one of my favourites in the MCU

I wasn’t a big fan of this movie at first, but the more I rewatch Volume 2, the more I like it.
"Its funny he's on her shoulder, I'd have him right down in here...". Honestly it makes sense. You offer a lot more protection for Groot in that area than Gamora does. 😂
The songs James Gunn picked in this one are the best of the trilogy imo

@@boser57 It's enjoyable. and for reviewers/reactors it sets up some things for volume 3 and provides information so the reviewer isn't going "What? Since when?" on points that aren't shown as a reveal because they were covered in the special.

@@boser57 It's literally required viewing to understand several aspects of Volume 3.
It explicitly states that Mantis is also Ego's child, with the plot centering around how she reveals to Peter that they're siblings and they buy Knowhere and start renovating it... both of which are major details that make V3 make a lot more sense. It's amazing how many people didn't see it and then were puzzled by things in V3 but just went with it and only cop to not understanding parts of it when you ask them about the movie... and then still give it a rave review despite acknowledging that they don't get why they were in certain places, interacting with each other certain ways, and had total control of Knowhere and could just do whatever they wanted with it in every way possible, unlike its previous appearance where it was a big city owned by huge galactic corporations, where The Collector had his museum.
Yondu's death scene always gets me....
Also skipping the funeral.... Thats not ok

Please don’t forget to watch the Christmas special before you watch Guardians 3. It’s only like 45 minutes long. You could probably do them in the same day.

Sure, it's the one that tries to make you think a child-trafficker who delivered thousands of children to be murdered was the redeemed "daddy" of a child he kidnapped, enslaved, tortured, and forced to commit crimes... it's crazy that people who don't turn off their brains aren't fans of this one. Stupid moral people and their dislike of child trafficking and apologetics for the people who traffic and enslave children.

So originally Peter Quill’s real father in the comics is not Ego it’s J’Son who is the emperor of the Spartax Empire. But James Gun chose Ego instead because he didn’t want Peter‘s story with his father to be too much like Luke and Darth Vader.
Personally I would’ve kept to the original story, not because of staying faithful to comic accuracy, but because Peter’s father being a living planet isn’t personally as interesting or entertaining to me as him being the son of the ruler of a galactic empire. Hell it’s why he’s called Star *Lord* because he’s the son of an emperor.

The movie took a very different path for Peter Quill's father. In the comics, he was J'son (Jason) King of the Planet Spartax. Their race had no special powers, they were just basic humanoids that look just like humans.

Yeh this was a great movie.... love it too. James Gunn (director) is sooo talented. Somehow he made me hate and dispise Yondu in the first one, but then really warm up to him and made me actually cry for him in the second movie. Crazy, Thanks Micheal Rooker for some great Yondu moments there too. :)

A sad world when more people react to an animal dying before a human/humanoid. Most of us eat meat too, so it's ludicrous. I don't believe in an animal suffering though, but much less, a human. Nothing should endlessly suffer, but the fact that so many of us put so much emotion into animals dying over people is exactly why murder rates are so high, and we give no thought to killing our own.
