One of my favorite things about this movie and this part of the Marvel universe is that even though they can wield magic they still need to learn martial arts, because if someone gets close enough to you and doesn’t give you time to cast a spell then you’re going to need to fight back.
There's also a concept of, if you can't control your own body and how it feels when under physical pressure, how can you control an opponent, let alone complicated magic spells.

The original comics were very popular with hippie college students who did a lot of drugs, but ironically the creator, Steve Ditko, did not. Ditko is also co-creator of Spider-man and designed his icons suit
I see that commenters have named The Martian as the movie Benedict Wong & Chiwetel Ejiofor was a movie they both were in. There's actually an older movie that they both were in as well....2003's Dirty Pretty Things. It's a drama movie, but it is crazy. Must-See.
Shamelessly my favorite. I grew up with X-Men like your friend here did and Dr.Strange was featured in it. I researched the character a bit and just loved both the big concepts, ones you mentioned, Tibetan philosophies, metaphysics. Also it uses and the inspiration from Johnny Tremain, a favorite novel when I was in elementary. This film encapsulated all the features of that well. And of course just an outstanding cast. And yeah, they are going to meet and their egos are going to clash then go from there. I don't think that's too spoilerific but your going to love it. Everything gets paid off in time so look forward to it and enjoy the MCU ride. In retrospect the planting becomes one of the best things about all this.
I know the average movie watcher doesn't read comics but the idea of this movie taking ideas from the matrix..the director said he intentionally borrow some from the movie but in actuality the matrix borrowed heavily from the doctor strange comics from the 60's. Kristen make sure to remember doctor strange’s necklace its extremely important in the future that’s the the time stone one if the infinity stones that thor had mentioned in age of ultron and guardians of the galaxy 1
These are the only date nights I look forward too😅😅😅😂😢😢
If you liked this you should try watching Inception. Its what this film reminds me of everytime i see it!
I need to focus... Good thing the hands are mostly there
It’s ok to stare
Hey there Kristin, nice to see the girls out and about
Who is the ancient one? Check out Constantine with Keanu Reeves and the island with decaprio. Her range is incredible
Tilda Swinton
@@w1975b amazing talent
@@damionneranginui6546 agree
She is nearly unrecognizable but nonetheless excellent in "Snowpiercer"!
@@ianrosenbalm6555 thank you. I have not seen that yet? Will endeavour to watch that.
Yo Jaby all I see is......well I guess this reaction is the punchline to your last reaction 😂😂😂 love the channel. We need more Jaby and Kristen together they are chaotic together.
The most epic Popped collar ... Ever!!!
In my opinion, this was one of the better MCU movies pre Infinity War. and most definitely one of the better super hero origin movies.
I think it's just ok
@@NadeemShekh-uy9zn ahh cmon, even with the classic comic book moment at 27:00😂🔥
The original comics were very popular with hippie college students who did a lot of drugs, but ironically the creator, Steve Ditko, did not. Ditko is also co-creator of Spider-man and designed his icons suit
Look like you liked the character Wong in this movie. You will absolutely LOVE Wong in the She-Hulk mini-series - he even gets a nickname!
I see that commenters have named The Martian as the movie Benedict Wong & Chiwetel Ejiofor was a movie they both were in. There's actually an older movie that they both were in as well....2003's Dirty Pretty Things. It's a drama movie, but it is crazy. Must-See.
One of the best Mcu movies
Hope you do watch inception someday ✌️
Yes, acupuncture is amazing! I miss having access to it.
This is a fun movie for sure. So is the other one.
Remember the Dr strange comics are basically 60 years old. You may have seen the matrix movie but the comics did it first
Same way some people see Blade after The Matrix and say Blade copied. Blade was first by a year.
Dang another date night with Kristen? Time well spent
😂
Kristen Look so stunning as always🌹😊 Glad she started watching the MCU
I would watch a movie with you solo any night! Happy to watch this with you!
I'm in a science fiction modeling group that I moderate on Facebook and someone showed a model of the "Prometheus" ship And a guy named Wong said oh that's the ship that my brother played the pilot in the movie. And I was like wait up You're saying that Benedict Wong is your brother? and he said yes he was and when I looked at his account photos he looks just like him.
This film has actually become kind of underrated.
Tilda Swinton that plays the ancient one is the same person that played the evil witch in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
The movie you're thinking of is Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio not The Matrix.
I love her I came here to watch HER reaction 😌
❤Kristen
Enjoy her so much when she’s alone and can be herself
Little side note, Tilda Swinton was a direct classmate of Princess Diana..
Always a pleasure to see the spartan lady here 😂😂😂❤
I'm here for 2 reasons 😏
Dr Strange premiered in comic books in 1974, so, the era he came to be speaks VOLUMES!😂
