To answer ur question about Gamora... Like in Endgame, This version only knows being raised by Thanos and then linking up with the Ravengers... No family experience with the Guardians
There's nothing for this Gamora to remember. It's a completely different Gamora from a completely different universe with a different life experience from the one who died in Infinity War. She's meaner, yeah, but imagine how annoyed you would be if someone you didn't know kept trying to force you to be someone you're not.
At the end when the guardians are getting the animals on knowhwre in the background you can see drax carrying the high evolutionary on his shoulders so I think he may be locked up some where
Rocket's backstory in the movie is so much more tragic. Floor, Teefs and Lyla don't die in the comics. Rocket has amnesia and forgets who Lyla is; she is his girlfriend in the comics. The movie does it Way better. Rocket's body enhancements are better examined in the movie too. I also feel like people overlook Nebula too. When the Snap happened it was just her and Rocket left out of the Guardians. That's five years to build a deep relationship. In Endgame when Captain Marvel brings the ship home with Iron-Man in it Nebula sees Rocket and holds his hand. They grew a lot closer, so her screaming at Drax about getting her sister and Rocket killed is understandable.
Great reaction troops. I just recorded this as my first reaction and it was funny to see yous saying stuff that came into my head like ninja turtles, bebop and rocksteady, and recognising Howard the duck 😂
I think people are so used to how Gamora’s personality was when she died, they forget how angry and ruthless she was in the beginning, hence why this version is the same way. Also, Nebula’s story arch is so underrated and not appreciated, her emotional reaction to hearing Rockets voice for the first time after he almost died, broke me.( also a scene every reactor edits out). I have zero complaints on this movie, it was just fantastic.
I agree! I think people also forget that Nebula and Rocket were the only Guardians for 5 years during the Snap so they bonded a lot and her reaction to him being okay was amazing and so powerful, especially remembering how cold and emotionless she used to be when we first met her.
The way she gasped and cried when she heard Rocket's voice... Her character development is not talked-about much. And we saw her laughing for the first time ever too.
I have only seen it in theaters because any time I think of that scene I start crying again. This will be my first time seeing it since release weekend
It truly amazes me how this movie was such a perfect conclusion to the Guardians trilogy and gave every character a satisfying arc that although might be the end of their story, still leaves the door open to new stories to be told for new members. James Gunn truly achieved something incredible with this trilogy and these characters and I cannot wait to see what he does with the new DCU. James Gunn is also going to do a phenomenal job with his take on Superman especially.
The first time I saw Volume One I hated it (I can’t remember why, I might’ve been in a bad mood that day). It tainted my experience with the rest of the franchise. After I saw this movie I went back and rewatched the first two movies along with Infinity War and Endgame, and the arcs are absolutely stunning. I have no idea how I missed as much as I did!
2 screams and a sob . Sean Gunn and Bradley Cooper killing it for Rockets scream, Chris Pratt leaving everything out there when he thinks he losing someone else he loves and Nebulas sob at hearing rockets voice. They were the only 2 Guardians not to go in the snap, it was just them for 5 years..
Nebula is the unsung hero of this movie. I really like how she took Mantis' criticism and shook that last bit of Thanos out of her (All Thanos cared about was her intelligence and competence, and everything else was stripped out and replaced with machines).
Great reaction. James Gunn has said that understanding Groot is a form of telepathy and bonding. You won't understand him until he considers you a friend. Why I love the meta of Groot saying "I love you guys". We the audience have bonded with Groot. And before the posts "Why did Thor understand Groot?" James Gunn didn't write the Avengers movies, and he has mentioned many times that he didn't agree with the writing of his GotG characters for those movies. Probably why he included the dialogue in the elevator scene "punching Thanos".
I don't think Thor knowing what Groot is saying makes a big difference at all. The Guardians quickly grow to like Thor while Peter dislikes him. Maybe Groot Really Liked Thor too...Or Thor can just hijack into the Telepathy without needing a bond to be formed. He is considered to be a god. So it makes sense that some higher beings can understand some things in a deeper level.
Too bad for Gunn. That's what you get when you write for a connected universe. What happens in the other movies matters. It's a plot hole regardless of what he says. Even in his trilogy, come to think of it. By his explanation, Yondu should've understood him at the end of Vol.2. He had fully embraced his role as Peter's father and he was welcomed by Groot himself to the group. He directly interacted with Groot a lot more in Vol.2 than Gamora did in Vol.3, they're complete strangers in this movie.
This movie almost made me cry. Last time I cried watching a superhero movie it was Logan. James Gunn brought a group of unknown heroes to the big screen and made us attached to them. I can't wait to see what he is going to do with DC especially Superman.
Haven’t seen Blue Beetle yet, but the first few reviews and out of theater reactions have been good. Never was a DC fan. I’m not a huge fan of Batman or Superman. The only three movies that I remember actually liking were the solo Joker movie, first Wonderwoman, and the first Aquaman ( although that one kind of got ruined by Heard being such a terrible person that it got hard to watch her on screen without seeing red). I didn’t even bother watching the new Batman with Robert Patterson even though people said it was good. So far Blue Beetle has been the only film upcoming for DC that I am actually kind of interested in seeing. Hopefully it’s not a bust and I actually like it. If I do, I might consider giving the entirety of the DC universe another chance. Including the characters I hate ( I WANT to connect to Superman, or Batman- because they are just as beloved as Spider-Man or Captain America but I could never connect to the characters and always had a big disconnect with the action scenes. But again, depending on BB I’m willing to give them another shot).
Almost. Wow! Stronger than me. I cried nonstop throughout this movie. No movie made cry this hard since no way home, at least Marvel wise. This made me cry more than Titanic and that is saying something.
I really liked that Gamora didn’t stay with the guardians, especially that she didn’t get back together with Peter. I think it’s an incredibly creepy and weird thing to be in a relationship with someone who already knows and loves you (but not really you, some other version of you). and in that new reality she found other friends, another community that made her happy, would be weird if she just ditched them.
Personally I was glad that I didn’t go to the theaters to see this, I ugly cried waaaaaayyy too many times, anytime rocket and his animal friends were on screen I was sobbing hard. Amazing movie. Amazing reaction! Keep it goin’!
Same here. Very ugly crying. May be because I lost 5 of my furry friends one after another in a very unfortunate circumstances. Couldn't do anything because there was no time. I just saw them dying in front of me, feeling helpless. This movie hit me hard, brought back all those traumas. 😢😢😢😢😢😢
I watched this movie two days ago in my room and I had the same thought. I’m so glad I didn’t watch it in the theatre (though I would’ve love to). I was literally sobbing, ugly crying, all the noises 😂😂 I don’t know if it’s cause I was recovering from a cold but I know for sure if was at 100% full health, I still would have cried hard.
Florence and the Machine was the perfect song for the ending dance. So much soul in it and it's been a deeply loved song for years before this movie, but reinforced not only how great the song is but what it means and what it stands for. Dog Days Are Over is kinda just our lives in a nutshell
Gamora wasn't mad simply because Star-Lord was coming on to her. You have to remember this is the gamora that never had a full redemption arc prior to being thanos's favorite daughter. She still has that killer mentality and main Street that he bred into her through years of indoctrination. She never was able to shed her rough exterior and make the decision on her own to leave her father, she was only convinced by nebula during the battle for Earth in end game. So she didn't have the same growth and instead of finding the attachment to the other guardians the way she did originally her attachment was to her new family, the ravagers, and everything she did in this movie was about getting back to them the way it would have been about getting back to the guardians. Had this been our original gamora
Also in the first movie they have a common goal and purpose and that unites them. Here she has ZERO ties to any of the team nor any shared commonality with them. The only possible connection she has is with her sister, but her sister might as well be an entirely different person to her because she has spent no time with Nebula. Then you throw in this guy who annoyingly keeps comparing you to something you know nothing about and so anger kinda makes sense.
@aaronbeatdown no. She has something bigger in common she helped save the UNIVERSE with them as she EASILY turned against Thanos in Endgame because her sister told her how they become sisters. I think Gunn completely rewrote her because Zoe Saldana was leaving the role. She didn't need much pushing in Guardians to leave Thanos SHE pointed out to Quill about doing the right thing with the power stone and not selling it, easily decided to save Xandar and follow Quill as her and Guardians leader and was always trying to bring Nebula to her side. She was all that in the FIRST film w/o needing Vol 2. IW/Endgame and all those years of time together, now all of a sudden she's the complete opposite of that? She's with the ravagers like Quill said isn't her, only doing jobs for money and not her sister not even caring to be with her sister much, scared to go up against H. Evolutionary but even for her sister but readily would go against Ronan with a power stone, and Thanos in Endgame which is this Gamora for Nebula specifically on his ship when seeing future Nebula memories. That was all this same Nebula with hardly any deep connections aside from yes her sister, but now I'm supposed to buy that she can't even remember Quill name seriously? And saving the universe with him, Guardians, Avengers buys them ZERO good will of spending time with them if not to even be with her sister which SHE was always the one trying to do? She was never this angry and yelling at THEM in Vol 1. Sure she was that killer who was doing Thanos bidding she also used these characters as her opportunity to get from under him 1st chance she got sure it took time for romance between them, but they didn't spend the entire movie being yelled at and hayed by her.
@@alexanderthegreat5649 There's absolutely a rewrite that's happening, sure, but it's not plucked out of thin air. In Guardians 1 she spends at least days with the team in a prison. During that time, Peter sticks his neck out twice to save her life and she's confronted directly by Drax who lost the only things that really mattered to him. Not to mention she interacted with these people over a period of time. In Endgame she sees the future, clips of her life and her sister and sees just how drastic the future is. She supports her sister because she wants to get to that place, a place where she feels she has family. She's just as eager to stop Thanos as she was in Guardians, but we're seeing her play both sides of the conflict more in Endgame. She interacts with Peter once and kicks him. She has no connection or memory of Quill, so she wouldn't know him. All she knows at that point is they're all fighting a common entity. We don't see how she leaves Earth, nor do we see what happens to her during that time. What we can infer is that in that time (based on their interactions), Peter has done his share of trying to win her over again, but she doesn't have any ties to the Gamora he knows. She's with the Ravagers because they live a life close to what she's used to. Morally ambiguous. The Guardians aren't that anymore. Imagine if you work up tomorrow and everyone was interacting with you and responding to you to the version of you ten years ago, but you don't remember those ten years. We see in real life all the time. People that suffer from memory loss having to fall in love all over again. Even though a memory may come back, if there's any sort of emotional tie, that's missing. In Gamora's case, there is no emotional tie. She can KNOW that her and her sister get close to each other in the future but that doesn't change between here and then. Her and her sister still have a contemptuous relationship. We see that in their relationship in 3. They don't talk, they grunt at each other. They don't really have a relationship anymore. So if she doesn't trust the one person she's most familiar with, how is she gonna trust some guy who says he loves her and wants to win her back? Her anger probably starts with Peter and extends to the team. Like Peter, they're all people who have had some ties to the "true Gamora". So even if they aren't actively pursuing it, it makes sense that she's angry or frustrated and why she takes it out on all of them.
James Gunn said that Groot actually communicates telepathically, but because it's based in empathy, it only works with people that know him well. So he says 'I am Groot' and only the people close to him hear what he really means. Towards the end, we hear him say 'I love you guys,' as after three Guardians Movies, two avengers movies and a Christmas special, we as the audience know him well enough to understand him.
The high evolutionary's defeat is so earned on so many levels. That guy thought rocket was inferior to him and is nothing without him, and after rocket left him scarred, he had the time to develop an entire empire and an army of creatures and a new suit with powers....yet, rocket wrecked him with the help of a couple of gravity boots he was building as a hobby in his downtime. And not to mention, he is still alive (Drax rescued him) and is a prisoner in knowhere (there is a deleted scene)...and will be forced to see "the perfect society" he always dreamt of creating and being the leader of and something he could take credit for, but unlike his dream where it would be made of perfect specimen, this would be a society of so many different people across the universe, some of his own experiments as well, and so many others whom he would deem as outcasts/failures, live together in harmony-and he would be able to do nothing about it but just witness their happiness while being the biggest failure in the universe.
To be fair, Rocket didn't really wreck the High Evolutionary that much. He just shot him and damaged his armour slightly. The High Evolutionary was just annoyed and got right back up to charge at Rocket. In fact, the *_ONLY_* reason why the Guardians were able to beat him was because they all ambushed/jumped him when he wasn't looking and didn't leave any room between their group attacks for him to fight back. If it had been a "fair" fight - e.g. if the Guardians and the High Evolutionary had been on opposite sides of the room and facing each other, the High Evolutionary would have *_wrecked_* them all *_instantly_* with merely a flick of his wrist (he actually did this to all of them on separate occasions in this movie). The High Evolutionary is one of the biggest bads in the entire universe, so he's powerful enough that even all of the Guardians together couldn't have taken him in a proper fight.
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain I'm a little confused by this comment. Isn't this like saying "If it had been a 'fair' fight, Thanos would've wrecked them instantly with merely a flick of his wrist?" Meaning yeah, that's clear, that was shown on screen. Isn't that's kinda of the point of these movies though - an undefeatable villain is defeated via team effort?
I got the impression that the reason The High Evolutionary really was obsessed with Rocket was because Rocket was smarter than him. He solved the problem with the chambers and embarrassed him.
Linda Cardellini was the voice of Lyla but also played Laura Barton, Hawkeyes wife, in previous movies and the Hawkeye show. Also Lyla was a love interest for Rocket in the comics.
I think the reason why Gamora is the way she is because she's a different Gamora. She went on a path different path from our Gamora. I think they really wanted to show that she's not the Gamora that we know and that she's very different. Not like our Gamora who was very kind and empathetic. Also, I think it is very annoying how people expect you to be the person they want you to be. When clearly, you're not. Ps. Loved the movie. Love your reaction ❤
More than that, the old Gamora had a mission to go against Thanos and found a real family when Quill sacrificed himself for her. The new one didnt have that chance yet. She has no attachments to them and she's not sharing the same goal.
Yeah I find it weird how people almost forgot she’s a different Gamora it’s not that she had her memory wiped those memories being forced on her aren’t even her. You can understand why Peter feels the way he feels but it’s not fair for him to project that on her and it was constant for the majority of the movie but at least he finally come to terms with it. Love the decision to not to have them get together would of been too forced
@@Jacoc323 Yeah, I agree. It would've been really weird for her. I find it hard for Quill to love her for who she really is when his heart belonged to our Gamora. It's like Inuyasha with Kikyo and Kagome all over again 💀
I'm so happy she didn't get with Quill as much as I shipped them because it would have felt forced in a way. This is a different Gamora who experienced different things and I think it was handled beautifully. She still softened and she still acknowledged she wasn't who he wanted her to be, it's a lot more realistic, you can't just change that quickly.
The past Gamora left Thanos with a plan and slowly built a partnership and relationship with the other guardians over time. The current Gamora left Thanos without a plan and only because Nebula said Thanos killed her past self. So Gamora still had that gruff harsh attitude and she didn't understand quills lovesick attention and the other guardians. People get mad that she didn't end up with Quill but I think its fine. It would have been too easy.
The moment Groot and 2014 Gamora speak to each other at the last is also very important. Old Gamora was like the mother to Groot and he lost her. That scene was very good and 2014 gamora being able to understand groot also was perfect.
You also have to think how bittersweet it is for groot when it comes to Gamora. She was effectively his mother completely - she practically was the main one raising and babying him since he was Baby Groot. Because technically this is a completely different groot. So Gamora not remembering his sucks.
High Evolutionary was carried off the ship by Drax. There's a deleted scene where Rocket imprisoned him on Knowhere. As for Gamora, this is the Gamora who was raised by Thanos to be the most dangerous woman in the galaxy. She fought against him but she still retains that hostile attitude. Joining the Ravagers probably didn't help
The tears flowing during this movie. There were a few thumbnails for other reactions to this movie so I knew there were tears but I was not prepared! Everyone in this movie did a great job. I’m going to watch this again later. First watch was this reaction. Always fun guys🙂
As I understand Groot's "I LOVE YOU GUYS" at the end was us (like Gamora) finally being able to understand Groot when he says "I AM GROOT" (so if anyone else was inside that room with them they would hear him saying "I AM GROOT")
i dont deal well with animal cruelty so i cried so hard in the cinema when rocket's friends died, it's so tragic because they're a bunch of innocent animals who were experimented on and then there was false hope of them being able to live a carefree life outside the cage, it's straight up pure evil. also the ending made me feel the same relief the guardians felt, that feeling of letting loose and knowing the bs they put through is over and they can rest, it was the perfect ending imo, it felt like we've seen a bunch of our actual friends go through this tough journey. unfortunately for me, rocket's backstory and high evolutionary as a villain were probably the highlights of the film, and i still preferred the first and second one regarding the pacing and cohesiveness and comedy, this time round i didn't really laugh much in the cinema/ some parts were intended to be funny but it wasn't, but it's still the best mcu in this current phase (phase 5?) and as a whole gotg is the best mcu trilogy
Not su fun fact, Cosmo mentions the Soviets sending her into orbit knowing she would die. That’s a true story, the real dog was named Laika. She was a stray plucked off the streets and the first ever living organism to be sent into space, they knew she wouldn’t survive. Laika/Cosmo is the BEST dog. R.I.P
Lyla was Rocket's love interest in the comics. Definitely one of the most balanced movies in the whole MCU. the High Evolutionary lived and you can just barely see Drax carrying him out in their escape. In the last team scene, we can finally understand Groot because we have been with them for so long to understand his language. The Legendary Star-Lord was a small comic run on its own.
I literally sobbed in theatres when I first saw this! I'm so happy for the humor and kick ass fight scenes sprinkled throughout to lighten the mood. Im gonna miss those Guardians
I'm honestly so glad that I got to watch this in theaters. That scene where the High Evolutionary kills Lyla and Rocket cries was heart wrenching and chilling at the same time. Just to hear not one peep from the rest of the theater was chilling. I was crying when Rocket was dying, I did not expect them to go that route. Such a great movie.
At the end when Groot says "I love you guys" I think it's supposed to be "I am groot" but because we have been knowing him for years now we can "understand him" like the guardians and Gamora did at the end, and that makes that part even greater. Amazing reaction as always!! Thanks for all the hard work you put into this👊
This movie was really hard for me to watch. I lost my cat unexpectedly and this movie just effed me up. I'm here to see y'alls reaction cuz I enjoy this channel so much but I don't think I would ever watch this movie again on my own.
I love how they did what they did with Drax at the end. I found it very fitting because at the end of Guardians 2, it was Drax who held baby Groot on his chest and patted his back while he fell asleep. Drax being the only parent knew just how to do it and I imagine his character would have been thinking about the times he would have done the same for his own daughter when she was little. The other good thing about how they did this is if Batista were to want, he could come back and do a less physical part.
Spoilers! . . . This whole movie was an emotional rollercoaster but the points I sobbed incoherently were the animal friends dying, Nebula sobbing in relief when she heard rocket, nebula telling drax he was born to be a dad and Quill going home 🥺 so much heart in this movie and this is what the MCU is missing. It’s lost it’s heart 😢
Peter's soul wrenching wail over rocket will never not make me cry. I remember when performing in Cherry Orchard my colleague who played my mother's scream of loss, and how much it to this day tears at my soul, its SUCH an incredible talent to do and I never thought I would see it from Chris Pratt. GOG3 was incredible and to see the progression of 1 to 2 to 3? 1 being an incredibly light hearted fun action movie with a ton of humor to 2 have the same amount of humor but wrapping it up with losing Yondu and the beautiful send off that they gave him to 3 just being soul crushing from basically beginning to end, still with a lot of humor, but because of the pain of being so connected to these characters at this point? Theres never enough humor to fully bring us out of the sadness that we feel during it. I loved it SO much
The LA Knight reference from DD in the beginning 😂 This movie was such a masterpiece in so many ways. A rare occasion when the third movie of a trilogy is on par, if not better, than the first. Your reactions never disappoint!
A favorite moment that reveals so much more about Drax than we ever were shown. Orbose is not in the translator devices, which means Drax actually speaks a language rare enough to not get included in a "universal" translator.
In a "blink and you miss it" scene, Drax is carrying the High Evolutionary when they return to Nowhere. He's still alive, and I expect will have an important role in future cosmic stories, because he is critical in saving Earth in the comics (e.g. he offers up Counter-Earth to Galactus to devour to save real Earth).
gamora has been avoiding emotions and getting close to anyone the whole movie. her stab felt very personal. after seeing peter and rocket's friendship it changed her
I watched this when it first came out I cried, I laughed, I was mad, then I was dancing I am hoping there is a next one I love the hint Quill said about the MAGIC ROCK and you can come back from it!! Maybe a hint for the Black Widow maybe?!!
Ive never understood the half sibling thing, like none of my family are my full siblings but we have never ever referred to each other as half siblings. Just brothers and sisters, maybe it’s just an us thing but I’d say Mantis has more than proven herself as a legit family member
I think its because they didn’t grow up together. My younger siblings are biologically half but I knew them my whole life so I don’t see them that way. It’s really how you grew up and relationship.
Man Guardians 3 is so good. I personally think that High Evolutionary is my favorite MCU villain. Terrifying and doesn't seem like he can be reasoned with at all.
Yeah, I'm very glad they didn't try to shoehorn in some sympathetic backstory, they just went all in on making a villain you can hate. I feel like the sympathetic villain can be a bit cliche these days.
Same. The actor who played him, Chukwudi Iwuji did a superb job and really gave us such a despicable villain with no morals or remorse that we loved to hate. Sometimes we just love seeing a villain be a remorseless monster, and get exactly what he deserves. I can't wait to see what he does with Superman: Legacy, especially as Im a big Superman fan. I can only imagine what he could do with Superman villains like Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Parasite, Lobo etc...
I love the subtle nobs to him having a massive inferiority complex without Gunn constantly having to stop and explain it to the audience. He has to be taller than the High Priestess, the movie implies he is having "treatments" that are possibly meant to enhance/evolve himself, and when Rocket solves his engineering problem he gets angry with him and almost immediately orders him to be killed (his underlings seem surprised he's so obsessed with Rocket. After all, many life forms have the trait of invention. He could literally take the trait from a human mind). He's jealous of young Rocket's ingenuity and he only brings him out to see the results of his help to lord over him and tell him he's going to kill him and his friends.
The High Evolutionary, Chukwuji Iwuji, played Murn in Peacemaker and Ura was played by Daniela Melchior, Ratcatcher 2. James Gunn loves his crew! BTW, that was him as the creature that startled Mantis.
I teared up at several points in this movie, but "You weren't born to be a destroyer, you were born to be a dad" is when the waterworks really turned on.
I felt like Adam Warlock was Homelander if he wasn't raised by a megacorp. He was basically a childlike lab Superman, but he had a mom that loved him and friends that adopted him, and now he's going to be alright.
I saw GOTG3 on the big screen, and missed the High Evolutionary being carried out by Drax. Didn't know this occurred until JG mentioned it on social media, and was more attentive towards the scene when the film arrived to stream.
My husband and I saw this in the theater...hilarious, gut wrenching, anger at the villain, so many emotions! I knew you guys were in for a wild ride. Hated to see some characters leave...Excited to see what the new core group will do. Great reaction and always.
One of the most emotional movie I've seen in a theater! Rocket is such a badass character! Thank you for this beautiful reaction! When I was young I loved a cartoon named "Jayce and The Wheeled Warriors", (1985/86) and in one of the episode, you can hear Jayce saying that "a trap is not a trap etc etc..." and that's coherent with StarLord story because the cartoon could be seen in US or Canada at this time!
I spent the whole movie bawling my eyes out, to a point my dad gave me a hug halfway through and had to get me more tissues. It's easily my favourite Marvel(most of them have been very miss for me tbh). Rocket was always my favourite character so I loved this dive into his past.
It took me several watches to notice, the line is almost a throwaway, but I appreciate Quill accepts some responsibility for losing his temper during the fight with Thanos.
Answer, Mason Quinn, Oak... You three guys are the best, I love watching whenever you three react with an open heart and full genuinity, you're never annoying when giving out your opinion and I love that of you three. Always humble, you three are the best 🤘😎
Regarding Gamora's character, she was known to be a ruthless warrior before the events of GotG 1. It was only during the first movie where we the viewers see the vulnerability and soft side of Gamora. Ex: The prison scene, where we can see her afraid of the prisoners hatred of her for being Thanos' daughter, and even her opening up to Quill due to his "pleasant melodies" through music, and not to mention, "pelvic sorceries". Point is, this Gamora comes from before all her development in the first movie. This time, as we've seen she's grown throughout her time with the Ravagers.
I think, if she would be shown more friendly and getting together with Peter we won't feel the loss of the first Gamora that much anymore. This way we see the Gamora we know is gone and the second Gamora can'/won't replace her.
I read somewhere that people start to understand groot once they‘re becoming really close with them/care about them. it would make sense since gamora did understand groot at the end again which hints at her becoming herself again, but the part i love most is that in the end WE understood groot meaning the film makers wanted us to feel like we belonged with them and now we care about him in a very deep way, at the end we become one of them. i couldn’t word it as good as they did where i read that theory but i hope you know what i wanted to say, so yeah def my fav part of the film
If you watch closely during the evacuation of the lower life forms (the animals) you can see Drax carrying the High Evolutionary onto Knowhere. There is an uncompleted deleted scene that shows Rocket putting the High Evolutionary into a jail cell aboard Knowhere.
*Rocket is hands down the coolest earthling in the MCU.* Plus the aesthetic of Counter Earth shows that he was not only abducted from the same planet as Peter, but also from the same continent during the same decade.
i love Nebula and her arc. she rose to become my favorite female marvel superhero. she's crass and a bit mean but she truly cares and she's willing to listen, accept and compromise. also, she's not a perfect fighter, she falls and breaks but because of how her character is built, it's believable when she recovers to fight again. and that little dance she makes in the christmas special never fails to crack me up.
What a tearjerker! Loved watching it on the big screen. One of the best trilogies in the MCU with AMAZING characters and also character arcs. Thanks for this reaction, was wondering when this one is coming 😃
55:32 Hey guys, have you watched Slither? Ohh my gah, talk about gory! But yeah it's over the top and it's a funny horror comedy done by James Gunn. And Michael Rooker and Nathan Fillion are in that movie as well. they're pretty much the protagonist and antagonist in the movie. Yeah, it's his style of gory and then some; but it's just so good, you really can't, you shouldn't miss it. Nathan Fillion's really funny too. Now, Pam from the Office is in Slither as well. She was James Gunn's wife at the time, although she may not be his wife now. Great reaction
@41:15 - They expressly state it is not Warlock, just Adam, as he was undercooked. Leaves open the possibility for a Warlock later without a universe reboot.
Psst! Your description box excludes "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" that takes place between Volumes 3 & 4! 🦝 James Gunn loves "The Star Wars Holiday Special" that takes place between Episodes IV & V and has always wanted to do his own version ever since, and he finally did! 🎉😅😂😂😊❤
The way that Nebula reacted at hearing Rocket's voice....y'all have to remember that Nebula and Rocket were the only ones of the Guardians that didn't get blipped for 5 years. They spent 5 years together alone, without the rest of them. They have a strong bond. We (the audience) finally understood Groot in the same way that Gamora finally understood Groot, because we are now entwined into Groot's 'presence'.
It was a perfect ending for a trilogy in my opinion. They gave everyone equally important parts with a mature ending. There were so many cool moments in this one but "the name's Rocket. Rocket Raccoon" was the coolest!!!
Lol the guy way on the right is always so funny trying to pretend like he hasn’t seen these movies. You can literally see him preparing to laugh at parts right before they come up 😂
Will Poulter is becoming one of my favourite underrated actors, bro is not in enough stuff for how good he is, I have liked him in every role I’ve seen him in. My favourite has to be Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, I was honestly mad after playing that he wasn’t in every path. (Which y’all should watch on this if you haven’t already seen it)
One heck of a backstory for Rocket! Was this the best one of the 3? What was your reaction? What are your expectations for Starlord?

We heard Groot say "I Love You Guys" cause now that we have spent so much time with Groot, we understand what he says just by context.
This comment has become the new “did you know when Aragorn kicked the helmet”
@@robbiegrattan9083 Ha ha, I love that reaction comments are developing a meme culture. Did you know Ms. White ad-libbed the "flames" scene in Clue?
@@robbiegrattan9083James Gunn loved this explanation so he decided it was canon, iirc.
this is better, when we take into account...we have known this groot since he was a baby
@@laurashepherd2479 - Exactly, thank you!!! :)
Yeah once Nebula started to tear up, I automatically cried lol
Great comment!
The way she gasped and cried when she heard Rocket's voice... Her character development is not talked-about much. And we saw her laughing for the first time ever too.
When floor starts screaming for them to leave it always hits me hard no matter how many times i watch this movies 😢
Same here 💔💔 i heared in Hindi language .. that was more heartbreaking voice🥲
I have only seen it in theaters because any time I think of that scene I start crying again. This will be my first time seeing it since release weekend
Mine was when baby rockets first word was "hurts" In that little voice 😭😭😭😭 I tear up every time 😢😢
I've been WAITING for this. Easily one of the best MCU movies in recent years
Easily the best sense endgame
arguably top 5-3 overall MCU movies
It’s been one of the best in general, it’s better then plenty of stuff before Endgame
That’s not saying much to be honest
@@John_the_PaulWhat do you prefer?
“You know what fuck this guy” that’s how you know the villian is good
2 screams and a sob .
True!! I totally forgot about Rocket and Nebula!! Thanks for that
I didn’t even think of the fact that Nebula had those 5 years where her and Rocket were the only ones left. They definitely have a special bond!
I really think her stress over Rocket is why she seems so unstable and has the outbursts.
Nebula is the unsung hero of this movie. I really like how she took Mantis' criticism and shook that last bit of Thanos out of her (All Thanos cared about was her intelligence and competence, and everything else was stripped out and replaced with machines).
This is also highlighted by the fact that Rocket calls her Nebs 😩😩😩
@@zazoreal5536 Nah, maybes mean nothing when the dialogue is explicit. "You understand groot?" "It was an elective on Asgard."
@@Ultimaniacx4I think they said he was joking and as a god he posses AllSpeak which allows him to understand all languages.
This movie almost made me cry. Last time I cried watching a superhero movie it was Logan.
James Gunn brought a group of unknown heroes to the big screen and made us attached to them.
I can't wait to see what he is going to do with DC especially Superman.
Going to be interesting to see what he brings to Superman
Almost? I left that theater looking like a potato 🥲
Almost. Wow! Stronger than me.
I cried nonstop throughout this movie. No movie made cry this hard since no way home, at least Marvel wise.
This made me cry more than Titanic and that is saying something.
the comics he has as inspiration for his superman film are interesting ngl
Me too lol
@celestialdeath9659me and my friends smoked before and we were also crying 😭😭😭
I was literally sobbing, ugly crying, all the noises 😂😂 I don’t know if it’s cause I was recovering from a cold but I know for sure if was at 100% full health, I still would have cried hard.
same I cried at home
I was looking for this 🙌
Also in the first movie they have a common goal and purpose and that unites them.
Rocket just bawling at Llyla’s lifeless body, never fails to break me.
When groot says “I love you guys” at the end, he still said “I am groot” but now the audience knows what he is actually saying there
James Gunn said that Groot actually communicates telepathically, but because it's based in empathy, it only works with people that know him well.
He still should of died
@TheGreater-ScopeVillain there is no such thing as a "fair fight". All is fair in love and war.
I got the impression that the reason The High Evolutionary really was obsessed with Rocket was because Rocket was smarter than him. He solved the problem with the chambers and embarrassed him.
Happy to see that James Gun did his characters justice on his way out of Marvel, can't wait to see what he does for DC in 2025
Linda Cardellini was the voice of Lyla but also played Laura Barton, Hawkeyes wife, in previous movies and the Hawkeye show.
I love the fact that at the end when groot says "I love you guys" he's really just saying "I am groot" but now we can also understand him!
I cried so much during this movie. How dare they do this to me, but also a thank you for the creator, so many feels
40:48 Fricken love Oaks reaction to Drax knowing the language 😂😂😂
The tears flowing during this movie. There were a few thumbnails for other reactions to this movie so I knew there were tears but I was not prepared! Everyone in this movie did a great job. I’m going to watch this again later. First watch was this reaction. Always fun guys🙂
As I understand Groot's "I LOVE YOU GUYS" at the end was us (like Gamora) finally being able to understand Groot when he says "I AM GROOT" (so if anyone else was inside that room with them they would hear him saying "I AM GROOT")
This movie took me on a emotional roller coaster 😭 I can’t wait to see how y’all react! Love ur videos always ❤❤
This was a wild ride. So sad for Rocket. Thanks for watching with us 😁🤙
“You were born to be a dad” gets me every time
i dont deal well with animal cruelty so i cried so hard in the cinema when rocket's friends died, it's so tragic because they're a bunch of innocent animals who were experimented on and then there was false hope of them being able to live a carefree life outside the cage, it's straight up pure evil. also the ending made me feel the same relief the guardians felt, that feeling of letting loose and knowing the bs they put through is over and they can rest, it was the perfect ending imo, it felt like we've seen a bunch of our actual friends go through this tough journey. unfortunately for me, rocket's backstory and high evolutionary as a villain were probably the highlights of the film, and i still preferred the first and second one regarding the pacing and cohesiveness and comedy, this time round i didn't really laugh much in the cinema/ some parts were intended to be funny but it wasn't, but it's still the best mcu in this current phase (phase 5?) and as a whole gotg is the best mcu trilogy
She was a good dog.
Always like how Oak goes deep and reflects upon the message that each story or scene is trying to convey
Yeah and if it wasn't for the two Guardians of the Galaxy games I played, I wouldn't have known Rocket's backstory or his love interest lol
@@DeadlyBeast205 I wouldn't have known his love interest if it wasn't for New Rockstars videos haha.
I literally sobbed in theatres when I first saw this! I'm so happy for the humor and kick ass fight scenes sprinkled throughout to lighten the mood. Im gonna miss those Guardians
1:12 "break my heart James Gunn" *James Gunn- hold my beer*
I'm honestly so glad that I got to watch this in theaters. That scene where the High Evolutionary kills Lyla and Rocket cries was heart wrenching and chilling at the same time. Just to hear not one peep from the rest of the theater was chilling. I was crying when Rocket was dying, I did not expect them to go that route. Such a great movie.
When Rocket saw Lyla and broke down it broke me too
This movie was good way to go out great job to the cast and gunn for giving us a good marvel trilogy 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
"Rocket, Teefs, Floor go now" will forever haunt my mind.
“There is no god! That’s why I stepped in!” God what a line
Oh, it's gonna be such a wild ride! Buckle up, guys

Rocket becoming the leader of a new Guardians of the Galaxy also made me tear up lol
🤜🤛
First time coming across your channel....great reaction guys! This movie was a fantastic wrap-up to an incredible trilogy. Absolutely loved it!!
A favorite moment that reveals so much more about Drax than we ever were shown. Orbose is not in the translator devices, which means Drax actually speaks a language rare enough to not get included in a "universal" translator.
the amount i cried to this movie in theaters is crazy. rocket’s first word being “hurts” is just so painful
Agree, I watched it 3 times in theaters it was that good
In a "blink and you miss it" scene, Drax is carrying the High Evolutionary when they return to Nowhere. He's still alive, and I expect will have an important role in future cosmic stories, because he is critical in saving Earth in the comics (e.g. he offers up Counter-Earth to Galactus to devour to save real Earth).
gamora has been avoiding emotions and getting close to anyone the whole movie. her stab felt very personal. after seeing peter and rocket's friendship it changed her
I felt like she was doing something she knew that know one else on the team would do. Kind of like a "this one's for Rocket" moment.
I watched this when it first came out I cried, I laughed, I was mad, then I was dancing I am hoping there is a next one I love the hint Quill said about the MAGIC ROCK and you can come back from it!! Maybe a hint for the Black Widow maybe?!!
I love that now all those kids are gonna grow up on knowhere!! Drax the Dad and his mountains of children 😭❤️
Mantis also has bonkers empathy, so it's not like it would take long before she was emotionally entwined with your entire life, ha ha.
This move tore me up man. Easily in my top 5 MCU movies of all time. And that's a very strong list.
I felt like Adam Warlock was Homelander if he wasn't raised by a megacorp. He was basically a childlike lab Superman, but he had a mom that loved him and friends that adopted him, and now he's going to be alright.
I’ve just finished crying after watching “Nimona” but I guess I’m gonna be crying a little more today 😂
Finally it's here! This movie just hurts me every time I rewatch it. I love it❤
Saw it three times in the theatres, cried every time. Wonderful movie
Me cry cry and more cry😢 Love Daves tshirt always lol
Loved the reaction and seeing your 4 t9gether isbalways a delight🎉
Lots of hugs
from Spain!!!!
Dog Days was not an obscure song. It was a top 10 Rock/Alternative hit between 2008-2012. It put Florence and The Machine on the map.
I read somewhere that people start to understand groot once they‘re becoming really close with them/care about them. it would make sense since gamora did understand groot at the end again which hints at her becoming herself again, but the part i love most is that in the end WE understood groot
meaning the film makers wanted us to feel like we belonged with them and now we care about him in a very deep way, at the end we become one of them.
i couldn’t word it as good as they did where i read that theory but i hope you know what i wanted to say, so yeah
def my fav part of the film
Drax was getting back at Mantis for eating all the Zarg nuts at Christmas.
What a tearjerker! Loved watching it on the big screen. One of the best trilogies in the MCU with AMAZING characters and also character arcs. Thanks for this reaction, was wondering when this one is coming 😃
I love guardians of the galaxy I cried so many times with this one
The music choices aren't obscure. Each sing was a Top 10 hit, but it is an eclectic mix. ❤
Remember Aisha said Adam got taken out of the pod early. He was basically just a premature baby so he was just learning what he could do.
This movie truly made The Guardians the best trilogy and arguably the best team in the MCU.
Awesome intro guys. Great to have all 4 of you.
Thank you! Glad you watched with us.
I really didn't notice until now that one of the Ravagers could open portals like Doctor Strange does. Like what?? Is he a sorcerer too?
At the end when Groot says I love you guys . It was stated that it’s actually the audience finally understanding Groot .
Guy on left is my favourite now lol, first to dry his eyes. 😂 I'm with you there buddy.
Psst! Your description box excludes "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" that takes place between Volumes 3 & 4! 🦝
James Gunn loves "The Star Wars Holiday Special" that takes place between Episodes IV & V and has always wanted to do his own version ever since, and he finally did!
Love the reactions from you guys! always look forward to seeing a great group of guys enjoying quality cinema!
Lol the guy way on the right is always so funny trying to pretend like he hasn’t seen these movies. You can literally see him preparing to laugh at parts right before they come up 😂
Cried like twice in this movie
Rocket's backstory broke me. His friends deserved so much better. His behavior and that bad attitude makes so much sense now.
The "Feels"!❤😢😮😂
Correct on Warlock: he was an underdeveloped adolescent in this movie. He hasn’t fully grown into his full power.
