This movie just completely ignores the previous movies. Like, in Dark of the Moon, Cyberton was destroyed and this movie was like “JK, it’s back.”, Age of Extinction showed Megatron turned into Galvatron but this movie turned him back into Megatron again, and literally the first movie said the Transformers came to Earth and learned English from the internet, but this movie said they were in the same time period as King Arthur. These movies were getting so tiring and drawn out, even Michael Bay gave up at this point.
This movie did retcon a lot, but Cybertron didn't get destroyed. Half the planet made it through the space bridge and then the pillars got destroyed, causing Cybertron to collapse in on itself and then quintessa probably put what she could back together.
Bay realised those still going to the cinema to see these movies didn't give a flying you know what as long as they got to see some hot women, robots and explosions, let's be honest. Story continuity be damned. I just know Bay was like they wouldn't really notice, or those that did would care much, if at all. And tbh, he is right, given a lot of them still defend all these movies or even retrospectively do so. As a pure movie, only the first one holds up start to finish.
@BatmanFan76 the movie said the autobots came and learned English from the web. Over which we can easily assume none of them have been on earth before then except bee. The 2nd movie creates the notion that transformers have been on earth for a long time. Which the next movies follow. And it doesn't contridict anything. You got the fallen and the primes on earth over 15000 years ago. Then you got transformers or their creators ending the dinosaurs. Which is only really contridicting unicrons existence as earth itself. Unless we say they didn't know it was unicron at the time, but that creates other issues that are only valid if you make tons of assumptions in order for it not to make sense. Other than that, it doesn't contridict anything.
@CinePals Regarding the cliffhanger/ending...since this is the final film in this continuity, the general consensus is that Megatron and Quintessa, as well as the rest of the deceptions, were killed in the battle and the cliffhanger isn't canon. Regarding the ending as a whole...Prime called the Autobots to come back home to Cybertron and they returned Cybertron back to its proper place in space, leaving Earth for good.
This movie brought the end of the Bayverse, now going forward, we go into the reboot that starts with Bumblebee then follows to Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Can’t wait to see your reactions to them!
Hailee Steinfield and John Cena looked like they were having a great time in Bumblebee which made their performances pretty solid. I've heard director Travis Knight and the woman who wrote the screenplay are fans of the source material which definitely helped.
1:08:45, something important to remember about Ospreys, they have PROPELLERS, not thruster engines like jets. There's a reason why militaries transitioned over, if the air is to THIN, a propeller CANT`T keep a craft airborne, either vertically or horizontally.
Quintessa is completely lying, she isn't a Prime, she isn't even a Cybertronian. She is a deceptive Quintessan. She corrupted both Optimus Prime and Megatron restoring Galvatron to being a full Cybertronian and as Megatron. That's why Megatron has the red paint on his face like Nemesis Prime has.
Maybe if we got another sequel after the last knight maybe possible who knows Lol. Maybe we could’ve seen them reveal that Quintessa is one of the Quintessans that betrayed them and would definitely want her dead
Honestly guys, as a hardcore transformers fan I only wanted you to watch this just so you could suffer as we have with it, like it was so bad and it had so much potential that it hurts that it exists. Hope you still watch Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts (I know that Jab has watched ROTB, but I don't it he has watched BB so it would be cool to have him with the Steph and Kristen again), I feel that it's something really interesting to see how much a different director can change the way that these types of movies feel
This movie had some of the best action sequences ever created with CGI. Amazing work and storyline one of the best, ignore the hater and enjoy the ride ❤
So to explain why Sam isn't coming back. In the last movie when Optimus woke up at the beginning, he yelled "No Sam run!" And the director confirmed that he was killed in the ambushed that left Prime in his wounded state. Yeah, sadly he is completely dead though i wished they addressed it more clearly.
I’m pretty sure that was just Optimus grunting in pain, but you are right to address that Sam was killed offscreen sometime between the events of DOTM and AOE, which was confirmed by director Michael Bay.

Should have been 2 movies, and the post-credits cliffhanger from the 1st movie would be the scene where Optimus meets Quintessa and is hypnotized by her. Have the Merlin and Arthur backstory be told in multiple flashbacks throughout the 1st movie (show, don't tell). The flashbacks' narration would be the audio from Anthony Hopkins' castle exposition scene (show AND tell). The final pre-credits scene would be the face-to-face reveal of Anthony Hopkins' character, ending his "audio only" contribution to the story. The 1st movie would focus on the Autobots being in hiding, with the young girl's story finding closure and not continuing into the 2nd movie. The 2nd movie would focus on the story of Quintessa and her attempt to destroy Earth/Unicron using Optimus [Nemesis] Prime.
If I had to guess, Tyrese was busy working on Fast 8. Both movies were released the same year so he either had the choice to work on Transformers or Fast 8.
The part when bumblebee falls apart and then reassembles is a reference to the Junkions from the original animated movie they can repair and reassemble themselves. Also cogman was originaly a head master but the idea was scraped in the final film. A head master was a small human sized transformer that could become the head of a robot that can combine to the body of a transformer. His body was the silver car (2017 Aston Martin DB11)
I honestly think this one isn't bad at all. It's not good, but it isn't bad. It's such a great piece of eye candy and the humor is fantastic. Plus the final battle really feels like there's some serious heart into it, and that's the most memorable part of the movie anyway. There's just so many moments throughout this movie that leave you screaming "that's so coooool!"
I enjoyed this movie. A lot. I don't think the fact that it grossed "only" 600 million, compared to 1 billion the one before(Age of extinction), means this was a bad movie. And there will always be critics who will say a movie is bad, but that doesn't mean the average moviegoer would not enjoy seeing that very same movie. Edit: I liked what Anthony Hopkins and his butler brought new to the table, the reference to King Arthur and his knights and all the scenes with Bumblebee.
This was a top 10 IMAX 3D experience for me opening weekend. I wish we could have seen where the storyline went with Earth as Unicron, as nonsensical as it probably would have been lol.
My biggest issue with this movie (aside from the laughable script writing) was turning Optimus against the Autobots, but the Voyager class figures are really where the toy line for the movie shined. I have the Voyager class Optimus, Megatron and Hound, all amazing.
These movies are like Fast and the Furious. Movies that exist out of the sheer will of someone wanting to make some crazy ass films. Whether they're good or not, I enjoy them with my brain off lol

The actor being antagonistic towards mark wahlberg is Santiago Cabrera. He is not kristoff from hofd . He was one of the love interests in Big lIttle lies. He was Lancelot in the Merlin Tv show. Which is funny since there was mention of Merlin 😂He was in the first season of heroes. He was one of the leads in BBC THE MUSKETEERS
I mean, nothing much changes. They just add new shit and don't put in the effort to make an actual connection between it and past plot lines. At least from what I have seen, the actual grit of the plot isn't contridictory. It's just executed poorly with unnecessary and irrelevant junk spread throughout. If you have time and just want to watch it with your brain turned off, then it isn't bad. If you want to engage and follow an interesting story, it's hard to follow and doesn't make sense at times if you think logically.
Anthony Hopkins is indeed the best part of this movie! You guys must watch The Mask Of Zorro he was awesome in that too alongside Antonio Banderas!! Can't wait to see your Bumblebee movie reaction 👌👍😂🔥💯😎🤣
The reason for the exposition was to create a cinematic universe where each autobot would get their own movie based on a different period of time. Like Bumblebee and Hot Rod fighting Nazis, or Iron Hide assisting George Washington, etc. This was the original plan for the Bumblebee movie however Michael Bay decided not to return and finish the next movie as well as the studio deciding to pull the plug on the cinematic universe and instead do a soft reboot in the form of a prequel to the first movie with the bumblebee movie. But even then halfway through that movie’s production they decide not to make it a prequel but instead make it into a soft reboot. So that’s how we get ROTB in the 80s with Optimus who isnt meant to be on earth until 2007 where he meets Sam.
The last and final TRANSFORMERS movie directed by Michael Bay Be sure to watch BUMBLEBEE, which is a reboot/prequel to the franchise. You'll love it, you're going to be like, "Oh it's so cute!"
it used to be a prequel following the event of him after ww 2 where he was in earth when travis knoghg decided to reboot itncuz he didnt loke the story that wpuld lead all the way to the last knight again so hes lile nope and makes his story which actually is perfect! And rise od the bests is mid but i like it still i like all tf movies even if they suck but still
@@rugmastic I don't know anything about following Bee's WW2 story. What I do know is that the studio had set up a team to map out the franchise gowing forward and the Bumblebee movie was meant to be a prequel, along with a planned Optimus Prime movie. But after seeing how badly TLK performed compared to previous movies, that whole direction was cancelled and the BB movie became a reboot. I'm not even sure Travis Knight was even involved prior to the shift in direction...
You would not believe the hype Transformers fans had when we found out we were getting Nemesis Prime in this film, only to be so, horribly, disappointed. A Nemesis Prime that's an Optimus Prime turned evil CAN work (the War for Cybertron Netflix series did it fairly well), but that requires more than 20 seconds of screentime!
God… there were so many things that either happened or didn’t happen, we’re part of the story then weren’t suddenly, or existed for no reason…. But I love watching with the 3 of you so that was fun,. 👍
Anthony Hopkins said he had no idea what was going on, but it was the most fun he's had making a movie
That makes way too much sense

The actor being antagonistic towards mark wahlberg is Santiago Cabrera. He is not kristoff from hofd . He was one of the love interests in Big lIttle lies. He was Lancelot in the Merlin Tv show. Which is funny since there was mention of Merlin 😂He was in the first season of heroes. He was one of the leads in BBC THE MUSKETEERS
Yes ur right Jaby. I love it when Kristen Nd Steph are in a video together 😏🫶
Best trio on Jaby Koay’s channel 😎👍🏻😊
Next, Bumblebee That's everyone's favorite Transformers movie.
That’s an insane statement 😂 and not true
Not even close to true.
Transformers age of extinction was the best transformers movie in my opinion
I Love bumblebee. It exceeded my expectations and high ones ❤
Not true at all lool
there's a lot going on in the movie, especially towards the end.
Overall, it has a good story line.
Good reaction!
Good reaction by two of them. The one in the middle is extremely irritating. 😂
The tall actor who told Mark Wahlberg to drop his gun played also on All My Children.
Josh Duhamel I'm a huge fan of him too. AMC was my introduction too along with Las Vegas
There’s a lot of Transformer backstory that just gets changes every movie
I mean, nothing much changes. They just add new shit and don't put in the effort to make an actual connection between it and past plot lines. At least from what I have seen, the actual grit of the plot isn't contridictory. It's just executed poorly with unnecessary and irrelevant junk spread throughout. If you have time and just want to watch it with your brain turned off, then it isn't bad. If you want to engage and follow an interesting story, it's hard to follow and doesn't make sense at times if you think logically.
Fun fact Antony Hopkins is Welsh ! 😂❤
Anthony Hopkins is indeed the best part of this movie! You guys must watch The Mask Of Zorro he was awesome in that too alongside Antonio Banderas!!
Can't wait to see your Bumblebee movie reaction
👌👍😂🔥💯😎🤣
This was the first Transformers movie I wanted to get you of the theatre. It was exhausting.
Happy Little Dingdong Rainbow Unicorn special sound effect of the episode, “Ssssooookkkkkk” 😆
Out of context quotes #1:
“I was actually /feeling/ something!” -Jaby Koay, 2024
😂
If you guys are kind of confused Cade Yeager is the descendant of King Arthur
You all did a great review of this movie. Some things that I missed were pointed out.
Yall are actually pretty good together, the broccoli was funny
Steph: Gorgeous...
Jaby: Kinda like you guys!
Look at this man with the rizz! 😄👍
The last and final TRANSFORMERS movie directed by Michael Bay
Be sure to watch BUMBLEBEE, which is a reboot/prequel to the franchise.
You'll love it, you're going to be like, "Oh it's so cute!"
nope not prequel js REBOOT
Nope bumblebee is a straight reboot. Not a prequel of any kind
Well, originally a prequel-turned soft reboot 😄
it used to be a prequel following the event of him after ww 2 where he was in earth when travis knoghg decided to reboot itncuz he didnt loke the story that wpuld lead all the way to the last knight again so hes lile nope and makes his story which actually is perfect!
I'm not even sure Travis Knight was even involved prior to the shift in direction...
this is really good, this new megatron desing is AMAZING, the mayordomo is really cool in desing and coments
😂 so much fun watching these three's reaction after watching the movie!
You guys are now my fave movie reactors!!! New subscriber!
Wow, I thought Steph looked like she was having a mediocre burrito or taco during the entire reaction, but she liked it in the end 😂
4:50 YOOOOOOOO based, I also love the playable ones in MGS5 they’re so smooth and pretty decent
God… there were so many things that either happened or didn’t happen, we’re part of the story then weren’t suddenly, or existed for no reason…. But I love watching with the 3 of you so that was fun,. 👍
So good, a movie with a Historically accurate Black Knight.
Totally needed a bigger role.
Bring the DIE!
Everyone over 40 probably groaned when hot rod showed up. It usually means Optimus Prime's days are numbered.
