- At first I wanted to make a video about all Shinjiro mentions in P3P that isn't cutscenes, but I didn't have any save before he became a party member :( I'll start a new save soon because I wanted to defeat Theo in Maniac mode without Orpheus Telos (need to max my personas stats ASAP)
I find it funny he reacts more severely to the revealing battle armour than the bikini, despite the later showing off more skin. Maybe it's because the battle "armour" is so extra and never something you'd see at the beach
Because a bikini is understandable and every woman has worn one at some point their lives, but the battle armor looks erotic

The official name is persona 3 portable dear girls anthology by dna media comics. It was fun to see glimpses of her and her daily life outside the more silent protagonist we know her as.

It's always funny if not a bit cute how girls seem to immediately fall for stern care from a man. At least in fiction. And it's clearly about the sentiment considering how popular shinjiro is and as kotone you are pretty much 10x as strong as him.
@@chukyuniqul It's because women on average tend to be more submissive sexually, Japanese media especially pushes female characters into that role, and Shinjiro ticks off that "hot, cute boy that you want to dominate you and take care of you" box that's like catnip to girls like me. Obviously that's not a blanket statement and there's plenty of switches or non-submissive women out there.
@@carebear1470 honestly to me it seems like domething even more fundamental, which is that kinda behavior is the ideal dad behavior. And that could be effective because it seems like having kids with 'm will give the kids a good father, or because it reflects your own father's affection for you so it feels honest. Or both. Or neither.

Idk, it doesn't *need* to be an unhealthy thing imo. People are dynamic, relationships are dynamic. One day you might be feeling more receptive to being, for lack of a better word, pampered then two days later you might feel like treating your bf like a good boy and not in the makima style.
@@chukyuniqul yeah, my relationship with my father and family in general is very shaky, and my whole family is pretty much a dumpster fire. i'm talking like, physical and emotional abuse, gaslighting and manipulation, neglect, sexual abuse between my parents, the whole list. just ugh, literally ruined my life, and made me so depressed i already thought about gloomy ways to end up in hospitals, so that people would care about me, at like late kindergarden early elementary school age.
hahah yeah it does feel like that, sometimes i feel like being the boss and getting shit done (whether i am able to do that or not is a whole other story), and enjoy being the healthy makima (she's just pure evil lol), and other days i feel like getting pampered, praised and need all that affirmation and care. idk, and the way shinji behaves when he's not lying and hiding himself, just fits the bill. idk everything about him fits that way.
those two feelings probably coexist rather than switch with each other, so i always feel both, but some days the one side is more than the other and vice versa. since i have never been properly safe from harm to this day even in my own "home", i yearn for that feeling of safety and protection.
and daddy issues or not, i'm pretty sad that social media has made daddy issues a thing where oh you like being degraded and pretend-abused by men in bed, like idk it just rubs me the wrong way. that's why i usually don't say "oh i have daddy issues". it just implies the wrong things these days.

Well daddy issues-to my mind-means a father who failed to be good for his kid. And for girls this usually means failing to set up an example of what they should expect from men. And honestly, acting like poor treatment is all daddy issues are is dumb, since just like how mommy issues are a guy being a momma's boy, daddy issues can also be a girl being a daddy's girl. You know the type. Because an ideal partner should show respect and get respect. The other way around is true for guys as well, when mommy issues result in attraction towards women who are not all there (sadly, me). For what it's worth, I think it's valuable to acknowledge that in myself as I can actually not let my heart take lead when it's being stupid.
This proves that Shinjiro truly loves Kotone.
He's the no nonsense guy in the team, he doesn't fool around and actually thinks of others before himself. He may come off rude sometimes, but he has his own way of showing he cares about others.

Naw, not all Kotone fans are perverts for her. Some genuinely feels she belongs in Persona 3, and not for "weird" reasons. Then there's those Kotone haters in denial of her true value in Persona 3. She suffers from depression like maleMC does. She just doesn't show it and instead wears a metaphorical mask, to hide her pain from others. But even the strong wills among "smiling" people in depression, there comes a time where they cannot maintain that "mask" and then reveals the suffering they are feeling. It's implied throughout the later parts of Persona 3's FemMC route with her dialog options. And the manga has her eventually break and cry, once the pain is too great for that "mask" to keep hiding it. She pretends to be happy and cheerful to those around her, but in truth, she's suffering emotionally. I am allot like her in that way. Suffering from depression, and masking the pain from troubling those around me. Pushing on despite that pain, for those important to me. For me, that depression comes from my past regrets. For Kotone though, her pain is much different in causes

Yup, that's an "armor" in the game. It enhances your magic if I recall correctly, but is easily outpowered by many armors after. It couldn't be a mere cosmetic change, because this is 3 Portable, and cosmetics still took up an armor slot back then in the Persona series

In her behavior yes, she's often described by other characters (the boys usually) as a bit of a tomboy.
I think her dialogue options, being quite outspoken, set her up for that, the game also shows a lot of time that FemMc has a good appetite for a girl and it's a trait often associated with tomboys in Japan culture lol.
She also follows up easily on Akihiko's training, she is basically Junpei's bro too and not afraid to throw these hands to defend her friends
