That was the downside of Q2: they never interacted beyond two scenes.
Yeah I agree. It's more of the P3's Party members interacting with FeMC.
The only scene I remember besides this is the ending, which is more of a "take care, you too" type of thing
i felt betrayed like it's the one thing i look forward to the most :(
To be fair though, I'd say this game more than did justice to Minako/Kotone at least. I'd never played P3P before this but I can imagine this game damn near made her a fan favourite to those who'd played it.

It's more of a headcanon. No one is saying it's canon, it's a fun theory. If you think about it, this would only prove their theory more since siblings do have a weird connection to eachother, some even dating if they don't know that they're siblings (and being completely surprised if they do learn they're related lol).
First of all, Makoto Yuki and Kotone Shiomi are not siblings at all. Them being siblings are just fanfiction. Canonically, Kotone is from another universe while Makoto is from the main universe.
@@player2-lightwater914Also, "Kotone Shiomi" is a name from the stage play while "Makoto Yuki" is from the movies. "Makoto's" name in the stage play is "Sakuya *Shiomi* ".
@@tsf9600 The stage plays only use Shiomi as the last name so that they don't have to come up with another last name to make things easier. Neither routes in the stage play mentioned that they are siblings.

I meant that they share the same last name in the sense that it shows they are the same person from a multiple-universe point of view: the share the same "spot". I said it in reply to you because I was adding on to it but I really should've made that clear tbh.

What's fun with the two P3 MCs is that they show two very different approaches to depression.
Regular and smiling (the femc has the word one because smiling depression is harder to recover from)
@@nekogamer2508 yeah, I think FeMC is stronger just for the reason (she doesn't has depression) she has the same in-adaptation that Makoto has but she's constantly trying to fight it with being friendly from the start, aside of Makoto that took more time
@@snowfreezee_4724 she does have depression it's called smiling depression where one tries their best to get out of it while putting on a fake smile because they believe they aren't worth worrying about and it's the worst kind because it goes most unnoticed

Well, in the car accident that killed their parents and had Death sealed inside them, they also had a sibling in the car, so it is possible.

@@PhoenixWrightAceAttorney No, it isn’t. There hasn’t been any confirmation. The closest there has been to confirmation is from P3: The Movie #1 Spring Of Birth in a few second scene where it says that Makoto/Minato was the eldest child but they use eldest even for only child’s in accidents so it isn’t exactly confirmed. Anyone who says otherwise are lying as I have watched the movies and played the game multiple times yet got no such thing. But if you like the head canon (which I don’t) then who am i to stop ya?

This is my gripe with q2. it focuses too much on the phantom thieves. i get that they're the newcomers but c'mon I'd like to see at least more scenes with Minato and Minako.

(P3 to a much lesser extent mind you) And besides, the only difference between Q1 and Q2 is the presence of the phantom thieves and Minato. Yea I wish they had the 2 protags interact more, but having the phantom thieves interacting is not the main issue
@@Whispersmith646 i know having the phantom thieves interacting is not a problem but i feel like they get more attention and screentime than P3 and P4 cast
@@yukiettepham8805 that's fair, what I mean is almost every NEW interaction has to include a phantom thief (excluding FemC of course), as any interaction between P3 and 4 cast happened in Q1. So while I understand the complaint, it was probably difficult to try to come up with enough interactions between 3 and 4 to balance that out at all

I still go with my headcanon : Minato and Minako (Makoto and Kotone if you prefer) are twins.. one of them died during the accident with their parents...

That could be a good way to introduce female MC's to persona heck I want the next female mc to be apart of the main cast even if you don't choose her and vise versa with the male mc

This is literally one out of two interactions those two have, and I really don't like that they don't have more. You never see them talking to each other ever, so when their second interaction happened when they were saying goodbye I legit didn't know how I was supposed to feel. They never talked to each other, didn't have a special screening, and I don't speak Japanese so I had no clue about what they were saying to each other during battle.
The only thing I truly care about in Q2 is their interactions since it never supposed to happen. They even makes the two both have that familiar feelings about each other, why didn't they invest in that more. How disappointing
If there's a manga prob in there they may talk to each other a bit longer and testing if their worlds are still the same

It’s actually criminal that this is one of TWO times they ever interact the entire game, getting to see these two interact was like 3/4th of the draw of this game
I wish the english cast was brought back for this so we could get more Laura Bailey as FEMC.

Laura Bailey have already stopping doing dubs for anime and non-AAA Japanese games by the time PQ2 was released due to becoming a mainstream VA like Troy Baker. Had PQ2 get an English dub, Rise and FEMC would have a different VA.
@@player2-lightwater914 Well, for P4D we had Ashly Burch but it wasn't feel the same. And by the time this game was released, 3DS has been losing support, so ATLUS took the decision to not include English voice acting

It would have made more sense just to say that they were from two different families that were both at the accident. One family just got lucky while the other didn't depending on what protagonist you choose. Plus it would have made it easier to put the Minako in the canon timeline.
I'd agree if they had ever said Minako wasn't canon which surprise, they never have. Just as they've never said Royal and Strikers aren't be canon to one another. What they said was she is from an alternate timeline (P3P's timeline) which yes can exist within the same canonicity? Admittedly your answer is a way better solution but it irks me when people use gamerants headlines as a dictator of what the franchise is.
They could use that at a future persona games so basically you can pick what gender your mc much like in Pokemon games then the gender you didn't choose can be your child hood friend or sibling that way they can turn into a confidont and apart of the party
@Bara Bro No, Strikers just doesn't address any of Royal's events because Royal was still in development At the same time as Strikers. There's never a moment in the game where anything outright contradicts Royal because it was left intentionally open-ended as to apply to both timelines. Strikers is canon to Royal.
dude stop crying, she is not canon for persona 3,4 and 5. she is from another universe yes, but for persona 3, 4 and 4 arena (which is canon YES!! it has been confirmed that it is) the p3 party is refers only to the male MC. In other words, it is canon but not for the persona's Timeline until 5

Also, to be fair, if we take the timeline into consideration, this is the time where Teddie was in his "hitting on girl" phase. He hasn't enter the "nanako got kidnapoed" phase just yet

The real depressive part is where if she was featured in more promo material, the Persona series would kick off even harder with female gamers. The only reason i'm not interested in the franchise is because even with the newest game in the series they opted for an androgynous but ultimately male character when he could just as well have been a badass lady for a change.
Makes me sad. I'm tired of playing as boys and men.

There should've been more interactions between Makoto and Kotone. One thing I found disappointing about this game.
I really hope they do something with FeMC in reload. I know it doesn't have her route, but an optional boss fight or something acknowledging her existence would be appreciated.
A boss fight with theo bringing her to makotos timeline as a tease for her getting her own route eventually would be sick

Both Mc of P3FES/P3P aren't twins and the persona 3 games is base off the holy war against the Heaven's and Demons of Hell so to short summary its like Shin Megami Tensei all over again in a way so if you think about it the girl MC is the real MC of P3 while the Blue hair Boy is the sacrifice contract of a recreation of ordeals that why P4 and P5 got the same treatment but in their own way

In PQ1 Theodore comes through one of many doors that were in the Velvet room at the time because the Velvet room is not a fixed location.

Because they ARE each other, that's why they know each other but have never MET each other.

Since reload shows Makoto was flung out of the cars left side window when it happens while the car burnt that means Kotone must've been sitting on the right side
Since these two are twins at least whether it's right or wrong this has and will always be my headcanon

Makoto and Kotone are pretty much the same person. In one universe, Makoto or Timeline Makoto was born a girl, which is Kotone universe/ timeline. They both act as the leader of Sees till they sacrifice themselves to becomes the great seal. Their fate sadly is the same but they are not brother or sister.

Honestly? That would have been absolutely heartbreaking. I recall that there was a head cannon for P3P. That depending on which MC you pick. That's the twin that survived that crash.

Honestly, when I started the P3P game in like 2012 for the first time, I went in blind having never played Persona titles or looked it up, and I thought from the opening that it was a case where you picked which sibling to play and the other would be like an NPC in the game. Was surprised when instead that wasn't the case lol. I still think of it though when I see P3P, and hoped for it too in PQ2 (even though knowing that wouldn't be so).
